Buckskin Gulch looks absolutely stunning! The way the light and colors play on the sandstone walls is mesmerizing. Must be an incredible experience to walk through such a quiet and surreal place. Thanks for sharing this amazing hike - really inspiring! 🏜🌄
That's some canyon! I had never heard of a slot canyon. WOW, some of those openings appeared very narrow. Those flash floods are scary. Thanks, Josh, for taking us on another, amazing adventure. EVERYwhere you go, you ALWAYS find so many positives. 👏🏻👏🏻😃☺️🌞
We did this hike a few years ago, in early November. We even had our dog with us as this time of year, the weather is super mild. Always check the weather before you so. This is one of my favorite hikes ever.
Being allowed to go there is in itself a privilege but having it all for yourself is a double reward 🤩. Can never get enough of those landscapes! The colors, the details, the shapes...Amazing views as always &... still on my to do list. Thanks for the company 👍
What an incredible place. Of course it’s right next to the wave. I would love to see the wave in person one day. My knees are pretty messed up due to a bad car accident on the 101 a few years ago so I can no longer rock scramble. But I’ve done antelope canyon a few years back. That was a dream come true. Thanks for sharing this one.
I was there in May and miss the Buckskin....enjoy your video great footage...the color of the sandstone change with the amount of sunlight every time is different...it is a good place for sure...we went to Coyotes Buttes South and the White Pocket which is amazing too... can't wait to see more what you have done around the area❤😃🤩
Nice man, I’ve never gone that far into the buckskin part, but I’ve done the Paria part, probably even cooler, def need to backpack it! Camp by the confluence. Cheers!
no go during monsoon season....i live in the southwest, and hear about the deaths every year from drowning....and it can rain miles away and still flood
Ha The whole time I was thinking that I could see why Pops wasn’t with you in this adventure. It looks like a nice hike, but this is something I wouldn’t do either 😅 Great video though 🙌🏽
Glad you got to enjoy the hike! I still have mixed feelings on things like adding the ladder to the hike, as when I did like a decade ago it there was no ladder and you just had to downclimb that drop. I appreciate the desire to add accessibility, but it also increases the amount of traffic these sort of places get which isn't always ideal. Curious as to your own thoughts on the issue.
Totally know what you mean! I think that an area like this is remote enough that it takes a lot of work for people to even want to come out there so it is nice to be able to get through the canyon, plus there is a way around so you can still access even if the ladder isn’t in place. I do try to follow the leave no trace principles though and so it is always interesting to see things like this that make places more approachable. Overall, I want people to experience beautiful places so they will see how special something is and hopefully work to protect it. Places like this need to be experienced to really understand and appreciate, you know?
@@ThroughMyLens Reasonable! I've watched your videos for a long time, and I have faith in your respect for any places you visit. It's just been challenging watching certain places become rapidly over-crowded and wishing some people had a better understanding of how to best support some of these fragile ecosystems IE I've watched people stomp all over cryptobiotic soil in certain areas. But agreed that for the most part that Buckskin is fairly out of the way, and I don't ever mean to try to gatekeep. Just wish there was a bit more education out there about responsibly enjoying the outdoors!
Never heard of this place thanks josh for showing us these beautiful places. I have a quick question??????? Is it possible that you can make a shirt 5 minute video showing and telling us how you find these places and some of the planning you do to make visiting them possible.
Chris mentioned that it was in North America and the description says it's in the American Southwest. So unless it's on a super-secret military installation, are you allowed to divulge what STATE it's located in ?
Note to self - prepare to eat less pizza to fit through some of those passages. Looks incredible!
I'd need to lose 150 lbs. to fit thru some of those if I could still hike it. So cool to see rock formations.
Ja, wunderschön! Bin den Slot Canyon vor 30 Jahren mehrmals gegangen: No cars, no people, no ladder, no permit!

I have never been to a slot canyon- just wow! Looked epic. Thanks for sharing!

Oh my goodness! This place is incredible! This is an absolute MUST in our future! Thank you Josh😄!!!
Chills when you showed the petroglyphs. SO FREAKING COOL
It’s about time a ladder was put up. I’ve seen far too many RUclips videos of hikers scrambling up and down that drop.
Great video. Thanks!
That was outstanding, Thank you

Absolutely beautiful!!! Thank you for sharing this experience!!!
My hiking days are over (except for the virtual type). Thank you for providing this amazing beauty! I really appreciate it.

My mom ex boyfriend and I used to hike this and take guests back in the late 90’s! No ladder then! Thanks for being able to see this again!
Fabulous scenery, Thanks for sharing
Amazing! Such an interesting and beautiful place to see in nature.
This is so great. 👍 You have an amazing set of travels. 👍 I love them so much! : )
So beautiful! We'll add this to our next trip to Utah!
So beautiful! I’ve never heard of this place but now want to visit!
Such beautiful scenery
Really is a stunning area
Backpacking the nearby Paria Canyon is also amazing. Watch out for snow melt!

Cool! I've not yet seen a slot canyon. Stunning formations!
Fantastic!
Wow in a way this Canyon was a good as Antelope Canyon! The Waves were good! Thank you so much Josh!❤️😀🇺🇸

Such beautiful scenery, Pops didn't want to do the hike? Its his loss. 😂👍😊
Gorgeous ❤
Awesome! Just awesome! As usual
Glad to see the ladder is back! We had a tree trunk with some nubs to traverse. 😂
Amazing.
I think this will be added to my list of places to check out.
That was amazing
dang a lot less people than antelope canyon. Just as amazing and I bet a whole lot of cheaper.
Amazing!,

100%, you def don’t want to go when any rain is in the forecast anywhere around
What month did you do this.
When is that??
@@YuliExplora can happen from mid june thru mid september....late july/august being the peak
One day I hope to make it here. I hope it doesn't get too crowded by then!
I checked it out on Google maps. The canyon just keeps on going!
Ha The whole time I was thinking that I could see why Pops wasn’t with you in this adventure. It looks like a nice hike, but this is something I wouldn’t do either 😅 Great video though 🙌🏽
Wow
Nice! 😁
Thanks! 😁
Would love to do this hike.
Every time I see this type of
canyons I think about flash floods....
and 127 Hours 😯
Great video! Loved that hike but we were stopped earlier by standing water. What is your blogging setup? Gave you a great video to remember
Final fantasy vibes going on.
Where is Pops? -.-
I'll take a "Pass" on this one. No way I'm going to go through those narrow passages. 😄

Hope this area won’t become a lottery to use and see.
did this hike last year it is so surreal. ruined the bumper on the rental driving there though bahaha
Haha ya it is a bumpy road for sure! Such an amazing hike

Thanks for the suggestion, that is a great idea and hopefully I can do it on one of the question and answer videos
Pops didn't do this hike? Claustrophobic like me? Smart man.
1000 likes to the video and the longest slot canyon! ❤
Great video! How do you get permission to film in national parks?? I thought the new permit process was a pain
Thanks for the comment. This spot isn’t in a national park though
This area is on BLM land, different permitting requirements
You are missing out bigly if you don't go all the way to the Paria River
Surprised it wasn’t that crowded
Agreed, I felt that it was very quiet…
Please mention the state you are traveling. I don't have any idea where the heck is this place located. I don't live in US
This is located on the Utah/Arizona border. Southwest US
Between Kanab, Utah & Paria, Utah
Pops, why wouldn't you do it?
what size lens were you using for the wide shots?
I was using a Sony 12-24mm
Any rattle snakes?
How many miles did you walk one way?
If anyone has backpacked here, what is the best time to go and what are conditions like?
24HOURS feel
Chris mentioned that it was in North America and the description says it's in the American Southwest. So unless it's on a super-secret military installation, are you allowed to divulge what STATE it's located in ?
It’s right on the Utah/Arizona border
Thank you for sharing the state it’s in!
I mean, it could have been super secret…whoops 😂
It's not the worlds longest slot canyon.
