Thank you, Kenny was so articulate and inspiring ! I am a (Presbyterian) Protestant who has suddenly become attracted to Catholicism ... I am amazed at what I didn't know 🙏
May you have a blessed journey.
If you liked this interview with Kenny, you would really enjoy the On the Journey with Matt, Ken and Kenny podcast/ youtube channel. It's very informative and funny. Not that they're trying to be funny, they just seem to be having fun discussing these things. All three a converts to Catholicism from different denominations. God bless.
@@StringofPearls55 thank you. I am enjoying the journey and I feel blessed indeed to be on it ! There is so much info available now and I think the Catholics are doing a great job of evangelism. I will take a look at your suggestion. Thanks again.
My hubby became Catholic this Easter! Yay! I was already Catholic but a revert!!!! Love it!
Congratulations!!!!
Glory to GOD!!!
Sooo many congrats!!
I noticed that Protestant converts seems to be better in explaining the faith than some priest or cradle Catholics. I am really grateful and thankful to converts like you two for injecting fresh vigor to the Catholic church.
I think that you are right about Protestants.
I think that it's because us Catholics were poorly catecized and we take our religion for granted.
Protestants learn their Bible from a young age.
I wish Catholics could do better with catecizeing our children.
I don't think they would walk away from it so easily as a teen!
True
What i find about Protestant converts is they love and know their Protestant faith but when find truth will pursue if they have the courage. Not easy
In contrast Catholic converts to Protestant never switch for truth or scripture
No they basically convert because of negativity and subjectivity
Find me one catholic who loved his faith , knew his faith, practiced his faith but through study went to Protestantism
We have to be convinced why the Church is the True Church. It's beautiful!
@@cantrait7311 there are a lot here in QLd Australia of ex catholics in born again churches

Yea so, that's not my point or what I wrote here read it again

One thing that strikes me about so many convert stories is the amount of research that they put in before converting. I am a convert from bible churches. I felt led by the Holy Spirit to attend mass. I felt the real presence there and that was enough for me
I went to RCIA, absorbed the churches teachings and submitted myself to the church's authority.
7 years in and i do stidy a lot. But for me, just knowing that when i step into a Catholic church, i WILL meet Jesus there was enough.
Being led by the holy spirit is enough of a basis for conversion.
That's beautiful❣️ I hope even more could have that experience of just "knowing". What a gift💝
I'm glad you shared this story. It's proof that we all need to keep inviting others to Mass. We need to get them in front of our Lord in the Eucharist and tabernacle. 💕💞
Loved the priest’s comment about protestant church division. “That’s what you guys do.” So true!
I know that Priest too! I know Fr. Dan, that sounds sooo like him! Praise be to God!
Confession is very therapeutic for the soul because you open your vulnerability to a person designated by God,yet it’s freeing
Testimonies of converts and reverts bring more, and more converts and reverts.
Brilliant discussion - totally riveting...
One of the best testimonies I’ve heard! Thank you! The Holy Spirit worked in you and your family!
What's really impressive to me is how Mr. Broussard's parents, were not religious to the point of not even having any respect for religious people yet. Kenny is drawn to the lord at a very young age and spends all of his young adulthood seeking the truth. We didn't really hear how his parents reacted when he became a pastor, but I can only imagine. Praise be to God that not only did he come to the faith but that he came to the Catholic church where he found the fullness of the truth. 🙏
Thank you Eddie! I’ve been binge watching your episodes and they are wonderful. I pray for you and your family! You’re doing Gods work. God Bless!! 🙏
God bless you, Debbie!
Thank you for sharing. Welcome Home. ❤
Thank you!!!
REALLY a good question about altar calls, Eddie. Opened up the most insightful part of the conversation. Would never have thought to ask anything like that.
Thanks for sharing, brother!
Loved this interview. Although 2 years old it is so relevant to my personal journey. Pastor Swam was even more immersed in Protestantism than I was which helps. I have been AoG, Four Square, Non-Denominational, etc. and am now exploring Catholicism. Thank you!
God bless you on your journey, Paul.
This guy just has such a friendly disposition. I'm sure he was a successful pastor and I'm so glad someone like that joined the true church and openly defends it.
I'm a recent convert from Mormonism and I'm def not as knowledgeable on faith but I love theology RUclips channels. May God bless you guys for your testimonies and beautiful stories.
We have alter calls in receiving the Eucharist… that’s so good!
What for? The Eucharist is the culmination. What is the altar call supposed to do? I would be wary of Protestant influence. Speaking as a convert from Protestantism, by the way.
Another great testimony! Thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent interview!!
When Kenny Burchard mentioned reading scripture as a Catholic, I felt compelled to write a comment.
--Of course PSALMS are relevant as prayer daily....in Mass and the Daily Office....and a "go to" when struggling or discerning.
--TOBIT is so relevant today (and always) for honoring the sanctity of life, the sanctity of family and marriage, never despairing as we keep faithful to our Heavenly Father and His commands....seeking holiness for ourselves and others with the assistance of the Holy Angels. Beautiful prayers in TOBIT 3:1-16 and TOBIT 3:13. Emphasis on Blessing God in all things GLORY TO GOD! 😊🙏
--EUCHARIST in JOHN 6
--STATIONS OF THE CROSS W/ SCRIPTURE
--SCRIPTURAL ROSARY
Looking forward to seeing what insights Mr. Burchard has in his review of Scripture as a Catholic.
Enjoy your show!
@26:20 bingo!
They fracture time and time again. Division is the fruit of Satan
Welcome home brother in Christ.
Thanks for this video. Very clear explanation
I find it interesting, hearing now, many people, having "some" Catholic roots, even withered and dried up, end up returning to the Catholic faith. Ive heard this too many times now. Could, the Holy Spirit in the Catholic faith, have some incredible power through the generations? It makes me wonder! God Bless you Kenny, for returning home to your "DNA" Catholic Church!
I love this channel!
Thank you for watching!
The best conversion testament I ever heard ...
From Sydney 😊
Thanks for watching. God bless you!
Thanks
Thanks, Allison! God bless.
Without Protestant converts, the Catholic Church would be very poor evangelists!
Pick up the commentary (or any Bible commentary) by St Thomas Aquinas of New Testament books and be prepared to be amazed at your new knowledge.
Did his parents ever come home?
No sadly they did not. My mother died this past November. My father died in 2013. Neither of them ever returned to their Catholic faith and for all the years I was a non catholic including 20 years as a pastor they didn't soften much to the faith at all. But I do pray for them nonetheless because as far as I know they were both baptized. If Jesus is still doing something with them that will last forever, I want to be praying for them. Their names are Elden and Romey.
@@KennyBurchard I'll pray for them. Can you please pray for my mother and brother? They are far away from the faith.
Ken, you may want to offer Gregory Masses (30 masses) for their soul. It's powerful!
@@KennyBurchardI have a great devotion to the souls in Purgatory and pray daily for many "categories" of the suffering souls. I will include them in my prayers. We must never lose hope for only God knows the deepest parts of our hearts. Only God knows the most intimate thoughts. Only He knows those last cries of the heart, mind, and soul. Never stop praying for them. 🙏🤲🙏❤️🔥
Thank you for sharing your story. It gives us who have loved ones fallen away hope for their return. 🙏💖
@KennyBurchard What a great work your Mother did by giving you the BIBLE ... in your EASTER basket!!! That's got to be worth something, I would hope! "Lord God, please have mercy on the souls of Elden & Romey, in the Name of Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary!"
It's amusing when you hear converts talking about journey to the true faith is how ignorant they were on knowing the gospel, the church, church history . It's frightening how disenfranchised they are.
The Church Fathers would not call Protestants Christians, so why are we still calling Protestants Christians?
"But what is also to the point, let us note that the very tradition, teaching and faith of the Catholic Church from the beginning, which the Lord gave, was preached by the Apostles, and was preserved by the Fathers. On this was the Church founded; and if anyone departs from this, he neither is nor any longer ought to be called a Christian" -St. Athanasius (296 A.D.-373 A.D.)
It’s funny Protestants like to say that catholics are not Christians. Go w the early church fathers. The hierarchy since the early 50’s has introduced many changes and heresies. The modernists/freemasons effected a coup in 1958. ( See isocdotws , look for the white smoke audio file) The goal of free masonry was to destroy the church. Indeed today it is a different religion. Remember that popes cannot contradict prior pope’s teaching in faith and morals. This is due to the principles of infallibility and indefectibility. Read encyclicals and bulls from popes prior to the mid 50’s. Pius v, IX,x,xi,XII and Léo 13 to start. Fr mawdsley has some good videos on tradition you may find interesting. Some of the big heresies are ecumenism, religious liberty, Jews not needing to convert, salvation outside the church, etc.
