So the Soundboks Go is Soundbok’s more portable but still ultra rugged and super loud bluetooth speaker that does a good job of keeping up with its larger brother… the Soundboks 3. Now like I said in the full review, I think the Soundboks Go is a very niche speaker and I also feel that it is going to get cross referenced with a lot of other speakers out there. But today we’re going to compare the Soundboks Go to both the JBL Partybox 110 and Sony XP500. Form factor wise, these are the most direct competitors to the Soundboks Go.

Thank you for these well constructed and presented reviews, very helpful
My partybox 100 which i bougth on sale for 200 EUR still seems like the ultimate option
thanks for the new video! King has become a comparison!
This is a very informative video and I appreciate you for creating it. I'm probably going to bite the bullet and get the Go because I'm always going to be using it outside at max volume. I use these speakers at my job and have gone through 6 of those shitty little Ion speakers and the battery always craps out. I absolutely love and am almost entirely sold on the Go's interchangeable battery feature. It's not uncommon for me to work a 10+ hour shift and being able to swap out is amazing. Plus when the battery finally gives out, I won't have to dispose of the entire speaker. Performance wise i'm looking for the loudest option which the Go provides as well. So yes it's very expensive but i'm going to have this thing for 5+ years. About to pull the trigger on it
Obviously hearing these speakers in person is ideal, but JBL seems to just keep winning. The balance of the sound is always great and it’s price to me is fair. Soundboks is way too expensive for what you get.
I agree w your comment.
I love JBl but with portability sound boks takes the crown I use Jbl 1000 for home and sb3 for the go ITS truthless
This video couldn’t have come at a better time. Keep it up bro thankyou!
Going with the JBL but it was a hard choice against the Soundboks🤔
Yooo, love your vids
JBL Partybox, clear winner, with outstanding music reproduction, and punchy bass!!! Definitely getting one!!!!!! thanks for the demo vid bro!!!!!!!!!! 🙂
Love these types of vids man, Keep going 😁👍
Thanks for watching
XP-500 is pretty cheap and it's a good value on sale👍, Partybox 110 a bit more expensive with better sound and you can use it indoors and outdoors💪Lastly the Soundboks Go most expensive, most portable but it has the least amount of use case scenarios🤔 It is simply made to be on the go concert🤯
Hey, can you please do a video on Anker Soundcore Rave Partycast (Rave Mini upgrade with Custom EQ)? I'm thinking about purchasing one but there are no proper videos on it like you do with information. If you can, I would highly appriciate.
Can you make a video with the partybox 1000?
So the 110 gave a software update to where you can adjust eq all throughout the power band. Made it a totally different speaker when I popped it back on after the update to the app.
What's the watts for those or did I miss that part
How much bass does the go have at max volume on bass+ compared to the other two
I bought Partybox 110 based on your reviews and I love it,is great.I use it for my office at min level and outside on my garden,garage.....suits me very well.😊
Glad you like it
The Partybox sounds the best no doubt
Soundbox just so loud it starts to get so bright and higher volumes and there is a lot base and high volumes but lower volumes it just sounds super flat and lower volumes
Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 review are coming right ?
yes, I am really looking froward to them. But I did not get them early. I am going to finish my SB Go series of videos, afterwards I am doing a few videos on the Partybox Encore, and then I will cover the Momentum TW 3 and Sennheiser Sport Earbuds.
Can you make a review on the jbl live 660 nc
Would you say the JBL boombox 310 is twice as loud/good as at the JBL boombox 110?? Please let me know im on the fence between both, trying to get best bang for my buck
do JBL partybox 310 vs soundboks go. Very nice video
instead of frontward you could say forward its the same thing but easier to say. Also the Jbl sounds so much better than the other two its shocking.
The app for the Partbox 110 must have been updated since this video. The JBL app does now allow you to tailor your EQ between bass/mids/highs.
Yes it has been updated
Soundboks is the most expensive and has the biggest woofer but it sounds like a kitchen radio.
not worth its price
Yeah but I heard the $60 strap adds low end!
Soundboks: Best outdoor speaker that blows away JBL and sony at max volume (cops will be amused)
JBL: Best sounding speaker on low and mid volumes indoors
Sony: Cheapest speaker with a good sound, but should be used indoors most of the time because of its low volume on battery mode.
😂😂😂😂
How about you use the XP 500 at max volume while plugged in
Soundboks is lacking in the midrange. Loud is geeat, but what good is loud if it sounds poor quality? They should have opted for a 3 driver system.
Hyperboom vs Go which would you prefer for day to day use. Inside and outside.
Definitely the GO
Does somebody have a tip for me how to transport the 110? Like is there a backpack or something like that?
I've seen ridiculously overpriced bags for it on ebay. I'm sure you can find a big duffel bag for cheap to carry it
I recently bought the soft bag "Accu-Case AC-140" with 580 x 250 x 250 mm for mine and it perfectly fits. Price was 27€. But not sure where you are located and if its available. But you could of course buy any other bigger soft bag.
@@ratze6575 okay thanks :)
How do you think the indoor performance (Soundboks Go) compares to the UE Hyperbooms indoor performance? Price isn’t really a factor for me in this choice but I’m kinda stuck between the two. Great video btw.
Hyperboom is better choice for indoor use. Full video coming next week comparing Go to Boombox 2, XG500, and Hyperboom.
@@GYMCADDY thanks for the quick response, I’m looking forward to the video.
Has the soundboks a stronger bass than the jbl partyboxen like the 310 bc i,m thinking about to get the soundboks
wtf no bro
You can adjust highs mids and base
Question
I own the UE Hyperboom and the JBL Boombox 2 and was wondering if there’s a way to use them together. I know you can’t pair them wirelessly but could I use a dual Aux or something?
I believe it needs to have an aux out port to be able to daisy chain speakers, not sure if yours have that or not though.
A Aux splitter cable should work. Depending on your phone you can also connect both at the same time with Bluetooth. On Samsung phones you can play music at 2 devices at the same time and adjust latency and volume seperate.
Listen to these speakers live plugged in sony 500 is best bass by far and love it with reggae
If using indoors, surely portability and battery doesn't matter that much? Soundboks still seems like the best option for an outdoor, battery powered speaker.
Though I'm going to go with the Soundboks 3 as I need the XLR inputs and better quality at lower volumes. Great reviews, thank you!
Compare Soundboks go and Partybox 310 pls? :)
sounbdboks go sounds like a screaming kitchen radio against the jbl partybox 110
@@JoshLeon2024 soundboks just loud.. I rather buy a speaker less than have the privlce with double the sound quality... I don't need the last extra 3dB just for more screaming treble
He turned it on to its low power mode vs deep bass on the other 2. Not fair
@@bobjordan5597 still no chance. The soundboks go is not sounding good, especially for its price
Exhaust port isn't same as rear radiator. It shouldn't really have effect on reflection off wall if it's front or back
It does, you are very wrong!
Welche besser
Oh okay that Soundboks clearly has no chance...eventho I don't really like JBL I have to admit the partybox 100/300/1000 are all VERY good speakers.
@@JoshLeon2024 It blows them away in loudness but it sounds like crap that's the issue
@@LSandM-SpeakersFromEverywhere it really doesn't sound bad in person i compared the 110 and go and the go actually has nearly as much as the the 110 while still getting way louder
Tough decision. I liek swappable battery but I want to be able to plug my guitar in. I like the tame look of t he soundboks compared to the palstic party speaker look
16:40 Just the news I wanted to hear 🤣
Guess I'll be buying this speaker now
No, just don't, it sucks so hard lol
@@TeknoLars It was a joke
@@TeknoLars cerwinvega! Rules
@@theotherhouse5910 Yes for over 70 years it has been the best 😆😆😆 funny people havent gotten better
@@TeknoLars I have maybe 9 pairs....
I love my soundbok the bass is great
Do jbl partybox encore compare soundboks go
Can you make videos on what or which Power Station brand can charge all Bluetooth devices outdoors.. because they all go short of battery life... and when you party outdoors, it's not good when you lower volume or off bass to save battery life... but Power Station will do it fine...like what I'm doing now using Power Station to my JBL Partybox 310 and been playing it for 12 hours full volume with bass on without a doubt.
... JBL wins hands down... it's output is full, smooth and balanced
The jbl one compact would of be a more Apple to apple conpersion
If you tested both jbl and sony with bass boost, why didn’t you have the Go on bass+?
The front firing exhaust ports would mess up the mic. So I had to use power.
@@GYMCADDY honestly I completely disagree with you saying this only sounds good outdoors. Mine sounds amazing at all volume levels. I only play mine on bass+ and it exceeds my expectations. My favorite is still my SB3 but this little thing is absolutely badass for its size! Worth every penny.
@@GYMCADDY That seems like a really shit excuse considering you criticise it’s lack of bass
Why everyone saying soundboks sounds so bad? It seems very comparable the party box and they both sound much better than the Sony. For pure portability sake I lean toward the boks though
Extremely overpriced
@@theotherhouse5910might as well just but the soundboks gen 3 and blow away every portable bluetooth speaker
N adjust the bass highs and mids
Two Tribit Stormbox blast speakers all day every day
قوه في الصوت ورائعه 110
partybox 110 sound and features.. good for party
Hands down JBL beats them all, thank you for the video👍
yes
JBL 110 победил! Самый приятный звук...
You could have even pitted the sony srs-XG500 against the soundboks go, as well as the JBL boombox 2. Both would have beaten the soundboks go with ease. By the way, the Sony XP-500 has hardly any deep bass and it is therefore ridiculous how weak the soundboks go seems.
Seems legit because he has get the soundboks go for free so he test it against bigger speaker to Safe it.
And jo youre right the XP 500 has literally no deep bass in comparison to the XG500 and for sure JBL Boombox 2
@@Santosnimez you mean that he used slightly larger speakers on purpose to save the go and not see it fail against cheaper alternatives??
. The Partybox 110 is a very good opponent and the XP-500 rather unnecessary, as I said I would rather have seen the XG-500. In any case, the strength of the Go is its volume, but unfortunately the bass is completely underexposed.
@@schacktastisch He safed the Go because of the comparison with xp500.
This speaker is worse dude but the jbl partybox 110 is amazing , destroyed both of it.
So the winner of the comparison is the JBL Money.. Even the Motion Boom can destroys the bass from Go i think 😂👏🏼
The xg500 and boombox sound weak compared to the Partybox 110
@@Pablo-hw5ik but not to the soundboks go. This was my Message about it
Are you using a binaural audio microphone? Also, I think the JBL was the best, much clearer Sound with better deep bass. I'm disappointed from soundboks, especially the price. Loudness just isn't everything. And Sony was just to weak...
Why would you do the Sony and JBL in bass mode, but not the SoundBoks and then just talk about the lack of bass? You literally said you prefer the GO in bass mode. Honestly a pretty dumb comparison.🤦🏽♂️ (btw I’m not biased because I own the Sony, JBL and SoundBoks 3).
I'm confused why a 10 inch woofer has no bass. My 8 inch sub like shakes my whole house
For the price of the go. You can get a jbl 310. Way better then the 110
jbl take it sound wise more rich
Soundboks cost duble than the other...
Soundboks go sounds to muddy for my liking so I bought JBL Partybox 310
Jbl qualité sound 👏👏👏👏
Did you miss the Sony verdict?
Sound box is killer volume but no light display..it's sad
Light features just drain the battery 🔋 even more lol Light features are pointless
So no mics for soundboks for karaoke? Thats a bummmer!!
the jbl 110 is amazing...
JBL all the way!
interesting to see most of the comments here are preferencing the jbl or the sony. Here in Norway everyone has Soundboks, you never see anyone with a jbl or sony, but it's also very commen to party outside in different places where u dont have access to electricity. And often out on boattrips and skiing vacations. So for most of Norwegians Soundboks is the way to go because of how loud it can play and the portabillity, even though its at bit more expensive.
I just don't understand how somebody would pay that much for the soundboks, it sounds soooo bad, its just very loud, I wouldn't even pay 300 for that, the pb 110 destroyed it not even a comparison.
I know right lol
He had the other 2 on bass plus, but had that one in power saver
I tested both and the go has nearly as much bass as the partybox while getting way louder and having over twice the battery life but i do agree that way too overpriced
Sorry but the jbl sound the best balanced for everything the soundboks sounds to boxy
Agreed, the JBL just cant be beaten. Unless you put it against a Devialet Phantom Speaker.
Yeah, I like the 110 the most as well. It is very balanced for both low volume and high volume.
@@teslacybertruck750 and to be real I would rather have a jbl boombox than or a smaller charge 5 that doesn't really have that boxy sound
I almost ordered the Soundboks Go, but after watching this comparison, JBL is obviously BY FAR the best speakers. Too bad there isn't any in stock where I live.
How does this Soundboks Go cost 700€ and sound like a cheap chinese knockoff speaker off of aliexpress. Jesus christ I feel sorry for anyone who bought that piece of crap. I really admire the replacable battery feature and the battery life in general, but the way that speaker sounds I'd fucking want it dead as soon as possible.
Soundboks punchy and kick bass with perfect loudness just crushes the sony and jbl literally there is no substitute for pro audio if you want sheer power
@@HAIYANE9910 and clearly youre a jbl fan😂😂😂try using your jbl or sony in big parties and gatherings they become like tweeter on the other hand pro speakers like soundboks are meant to play loud and bro talking bout low bass the bass below 35hz is not necessary as lots of power of system gets wasted in producing low bass and its not efficient at all ill better get 15imch pro subs instead of these plastic toys
Just get a battery pack for the xp500 for when you take it out
No, wrong. Soundboks is terrible? The sound is shit and no bass
??? what is WRONG with sony!!! lmao!!!
JBL Partybox wins for sure!
Soundboks has always been shit and will always be shit!
Bruh i testet both and the go has nearly the same amount of bass as the partybox while getting way louder and having over twice the battery life
JBL 110 with 12 hours on 20% volume🤣 straight in the trash can, if u want to use it as an outdoor party speaker.
But Soundboks sound like a cheap kitchen radio.
For 700$ a PA system will be a better option for partying
How long do outdoor parties last?
Probably no longer than 6 hours.
If anything, I don't mind sacrificing some battery for vastly better sound quality
I've heard partybox 110 has longer battery life at full volume. the party box 110 with bass boost and light 4 hours. and the jbl full sound 2 hours or even less
Correction you say the JBL is stereo that is incorrect it is a mono speaker unless you hook up a second one of them then they can play stereo mode!
