So the JBL Boombox 3 is a very capable and very portable bluetooth speaker. Thanks to it new speaker set up, the Boombox 3 sounds good, its super durable, and thanks to it built in battery, it can hang for awhile. However, the Boombox 3 is a very premium speaker. But then there’s the Partybox 110 and Sony XP500 which are usually a little more affordable and they pack a lot more sound. So today we’re going to see how the Boombox 3 stacks up to both the Partybox 110 and Sony XP500 and lets see which one is right for you.

@@TheAscendedTechNinja Partybox 110 is unbelievable for this low price in contrast to the boombox 3 and here you can clearly see that the partybox reproduces more low extension and bass strength. The XP500 is attractively priced but it can't compete and I remember you even saying that the XP 500 has the deepest bass against the xg500 and xp700. This is very sad for sony

Would have been great to see how they compare connected to power, I know its important to see there performance on battery, but also consider how they all sound connected.
Excellent editing and options coverage as always- your videos are first class!! For myself why I would choose the Sony would be better SQ at medium volumes to my ears, PRICE (sales can find the XP-500 for as little as $200 each), and connection to the other Sony speakers you mentioned. I have the XB-43s and the 500s running through the Sony app and it creates a pretty darn good “faux” surround sound…you gotta clear all BT previously paired data each setup and start from zero to get these to behave right in the Sony pairing process or it’s a mess like you said. All in from pricing specials for the 4 under $650 and I have a lot of flexibility between small and medium venues with sub bass missing until you get to the 710s or 1000s…those are a whole different league!

Bb3 is looking like the right choice for me. Easier on the go and outdoors durability. I already have a home theater for indoors music and a xtreme 3 for mild listening or while in the shower.

Hello, I have a JBL partybox 110 when I charge the speaker after I unplug it from the socket after about 30 seconds, the speaker turns on spontaneously. What could be the problem? Sorry for my English, I use a translator. Thank you.
Manufacturer defect. Call JBL and file a warranty claim for a replacement. Same thing happened to mine after a year of use

I drove a family to a wedding in a 12 passenger Mercedes Sprinter. The vehicle stereo is absolute garbage so I took my two Tribits
The first thing I was asked by the daughter was do you have a way to connect my music? I smiled and said I brought two bluetooth speakers for your enjoyment. I placed one speaker on the floor in the front and placed the other one on rhe floor in the rear. Placement is crucial. The front speaker was facing the passengers. The rear speaker was facing the back door throwing the sound against the wall for a fuller sound with a sort of reverberating effect making it sound like you're in a dance club
The venue was a 3 hour drive each way and they were blasting the Tribits at 60-80% volume all the way there and back home
Every song they played from hip hop to club dance mixes, 80's pop and 70's rock came through loud and clear with floor shaking bass. Every kick drum, snare hit, hihat effect, guitar strum, bass thump and pluck, piano chord, strings and horns were reproduced with exceptionally clear dynamics as if they were sitting in the front row of a live concert
They were so pleased with getting a phenomenal and loud club party sound that they tipped me $500 cash plus my hours, I earned $800 bucks that day
I only paid $300 for the two Tribits through a Walmart sale and they're already earning me money

I've owned JBL Partyboxes and they have the best sound hands down, but HORRIBLE battery life
JBL BB3 is too harsh in the highs and must be toned down before usage and for me the battery life is also HORRIBLE
Tribit is well balanced out of the box and you get 16-20 real world battery life hours at 60-80% volume
Nothing else on the market comes close to Tribit on value and price point. They are demolishing everything in its path

Sony is missing the bet not tightening up "party connect". Having music play in sync throughout the house is great.

So after having both for a few days, I'm gonna give an unpopular opinion. I think a big point here that is missed with the xp500 is that when the sound is lower I think the xp500 sounds way better then the 110. Lots more range in sound and clarity. Jbl tries to make the sound as loud and boomy as possible. But that doesn't really mean the sound good either, sounds more flat when not played loudly. And with the battery I think this review missed the fact that the xp500 even has the capability to run for 20 hours if needed and 30 percent is not quiet on either speaker lol. I personally would turn off the megaboost anyway bc there's enough bass already. So that would help in performance. The xp500 is quite capable for different reasons, 110 would be good for a dance night with its flashing lights, xp500 seems to me better for more everyday use and relaxed environments with its lights being dialed down but also very pretty.
Couldn't agree more, I sampled all three at best buy. My goodness, the treble on the JBLs were horrible. I couldn't listen for more than a few minutes. The Sony was way more balanced overall. As far as the lights, I'm a grown up, don't need all that mess. Sony, has enough without it being ridiculous.
I live in Europe, and the 110 and bb3 are here exactly the same price.(300 euro) should I go with bb3 or 110? Which one is louder outside?

I'm looking forward to reviewing the 110 the Boombox 3 is a good speaker but the upper mids at higher volumes indoors can be annoying indoors. The XP500 is by far the worst speaker for its size in volume I ever tested on battery power. After 2 hours on battery power the Xtreme 3 can compete with the Xp500 in volume thanks to Sony's battery management ☠️

You could get a 110 and pair them in stereo by using the daisy chain.

i actually disagree, the boombox 3 is way detailed and clean than both bigger ones. the partybox 110 is simply boomier, has more lower mids and upperbass but doesnt have much seperation... and im pretty sure the boombox goes deeper in bass than the sony XD
its just boomier and more box sounding than the boombox. its the closest speaker to be HIFI compared to the big ones
Partybox has way more deep extension as the Boombox 3 in comparison and sony is trash.. Just boomy 60-70 Hz Bass only
@@HAIYANE9910 also the eq is very important for the boombox 3 here, if you lower the highs it will sound great for people who complain about harshness.. but lets be honest here. outdoors with a lot of background noise you would want that loudness and highs from the boombox because you wanna fill more space with sound. so the boombox 3 is for sure gonna be noticed from a long distance with highs and mids boosted. indoors, using the boombox 3 higher than 60% volume is scary loud. and i really mean scary loud. although my room is fairly small, if i use 60% volume its a ear damage, besically like headphones on high volume.
@@HAIYANE9910a completely different signature in the sound. Since the bass is sometimes placed in the middle 60-70 to 100-250 hz, you can hear the deep sub bass a little quieter in relation to the upper bass. JBL is known to cheat, for example the 310 partybox has less upper bass than the 110 and a little more low extension and therefore sounds twice as deep.
@@HAIYANE9910 Partybox 110 goes down just as low, but the difference is that it can play all available frequencies more strongly than the boombox 3. The boombox series only focuses on the low frequencies and lets the others be reduced somewhat, giving the impression that it is deeper but I am just suggest you do a bass generator test with both The Partybox 110 clearly wins in the bass range, no comparison at all.

Porque ese anuncio de 24 horas era a prueba de el Boombox a un volumen de el 30% aproximadamente, que sería 8 horas aproximadamente a máximo volumen,después de eso al boombox 2 le mejoraron varias cosas,pero no la batería, entonces como no podía ser posible que el modelo nuevo dure menos ,lo dejaron así "24 horas" pero duraba aproximadamente 6 o 7 horas al máximo volumen,lo mismo paso en este Boombox 3 ,siendo la batería de 9200mAh, mejoraron muchas cosas pero tampoco la batería.

Just had at home Sony XP500 and JBL Partybox 110. Which one is better? The answer is simple : JBL Partybox 110 sounds like an annoying, big piece of loud garbage. Sony XP500 - sounds like a luxury speaker with an amazing balance, bass etc. If you want loud annoying party music, buy Partybox 110. If you want to listen to the music, buy Sony XP 500. Btw, this is my first ever youtube comment, 100% honest. Just don't understand how anyone could prefer JBL Partybox 110, over Sony XP500. This is like driving old annoying car, loud car (JBL Partyboox) or a luxury new car (XP500).

Played all three at best buy. The JBLs sounded horrible. The 3 treble was exhausting, way overly exaggerated. No way natural. That goes for both JBLs. Sony is a more natural, blending tone. So, I totally disagree with this reviewer.
