This Spring we're introducing a new box size to minimize unnecessary "nothing" in our packaging.

a while ago i picked up a copy of dwar7s fall without ever having heard of it before and not knowing what to expect; inside the MASSIVE box there was,,, a deck of square cards and a handful of meeples. the cards were probably a third of the width of the box, meaning you would probably be able to fit 9 entire copies of dwar7s fall inside 😭. the box was so oversized that they included a cardboard insert just to keep the cards from going everywhere, which also left 2/3rds of the box as off-limits blank space unless you take the insert out completely.
on the flip side of this, i picked up a stacking game not long after that didnt have a box at all, just a sheet of cardboard with formed plastic glued to it; once it was opened, the packaging was toast. it now lives in the empty space created by the insert in the dwar7s fall box 😭
on another note, i really like the sizing of your boxes. it reminds me of how lego/duplo/quatro are all sized to be multiples.
I had a similar experience with an early Kickstarter. The 9x9x3 box contained a deck of cards and a rulebook. They even included a tuck box for the cards - like they wanted you to throw the big box away anyhow. Silly. More rants about packaging from a year ago: ruclips.net/video/5gZ_PYO5SfQ/видео.html
If only other board game manufacturers did likewise. Most want a large box that will catch your eye on the game store shelf.

Dear Sir! I would like to see a presentation of three graceful games: TABULA (Roman match); BACKGAMMON ACEY DEUCEY and BACKGAMMON GRASSHOPPER. I would be very obliged.
I really want to do a series of "tables" games, including Acey Deucey and others, but they're a bit of a challenge in the peg game format. If we do produce these, I will probably pattern them after the old Drueke peg versions. Thanks for the suggestions!
