"Joy to the world" is a great tune you might like
"An Old Fashioned Love Song" would be another great song for your Three Dog Night playlist. It's one of my favorites. Written by the great "Paul Williams" who wrote so many of the Carpenters hits. Paul wrote the song originally for the Carpenters, but they turned it down.
What an awesome band !!!!.... forever in my heart !..So Multitalented...
One, Old-Fashioned Love Song, Pieces of April, Black and White, Liar, The Show Must Go On, Joy to the World... Lots of great songs from Three Dog Night.
"Black and White" is simple and pure and, to be blunt, "Joy to the World" was one of the biggest songs of the 70s (and earns it!).
When you have 3 lead singers you can sing in many different styles
And they're all equally superb!
You need to react to Try a little tenderness by Three Dog Night. Play the live version. It will knock your socks off.
Late '60s to early '70s was the peak decade of pop music, IMO. Another great Three Dog Night song is "One" (later covered by Harry Nilsson).
Fun fact: Three Dog Night played in a "mini Woodstock" type concert at the Pocono Raceway (1971, I believe), which was three miles from my family's summer cabin. The band came onto the stage and launched into "Joy to the World" at 3 a.m. I know this because we could hear it from our cabin THREE MILES AWAY.
Family of man, each individual solo and mostly harmony! So good!❤
THE SHOW MUST GO ON
THREE DOG NIGHT
I love everything 3 Dog Night has ever done
3 Dog Night had 18 number 1 songs. My favorite and one you may know is Joy to the World.
First time here. Loved you reaction to "Shambala" & wanted to see more of you reacting to Three Dog Night. Not disco; not everybody did disco in the 70s. They were a top group after The Beatles broke up. Their songs had a variety of styles. They had 3 different lead singers -- they took the lead on different songs. Will request more 3DN after I hit subscribe! Nice to join you.
Just disco? Lynyrd Skynyrd. Died in '77 but one of the biggest then.
Hey Fabian, how are you buddy? 3 Dog Night is one of my favorite groups. My favorite 3 Dog Night tune is "OUT IN THE COUNTRY". A mellow group indeed. Keep rocking dude!
Three Dog Night - Mamma Told me - Shambala - Old Fashioned Love Song - The Show must go on - Black and White - One
"One Man Band" by Three Dog Night is Fire!!! I recommend that be your next reaction on audio.....no live performance.
Three Dog Night - One
Love the country twang and rhythms...Still holds up!.
They had quite a few big hits. 'Joy To The World', 'Easy To Be Hard', 'One is The Loneliest Number', 'The Family Of Man'
Joy to the world.a fun song ❤️😆
New subscriber asking for more Three Dog Night -- "Black & White" (1972) great live version, complete w/70s outfits (e.g., open shirts with chest out). The song was actually written in 1954 after the Brown v. Board of Ed case when the Supreme Court made segregation in public schools illegal. Sorry; I don't know how to insert a link! Thanks. Peace out!
SHAMBALA ,you will like that one ....Hoyt Axton wrote this record it first as well as Joy To The World,, Hoyt also wrote recorded THE PUSHER for Steppenwolf and that is a band you can get alot of reactions from
One of my favorites of three dog night is “out in the country”.
Love this one ..."Out In The Country" next , please .
Take a listen to "Try a little tenderness, Piece of mind, Pieces of April, You, Midnight Runaway...talk about changes, Let me serenade you. that should give you a good start on Three Dog Night.
another different sound from them "Liar"
Joy to the world was 1 of the Most popular I've never been to Spain
Your reaction vids to these guys are helping me explore this band that i'm just getting in to. Thank you!
Corey Wells in my opionion has one of the best voices...Play this song again if any doubt. Mama told me not to come is another great song!
Black and White is a super good song by them!!
Everyone is suggesting the same old same old by them. Yes, but what do you do after? I suggest Pieces Of April, The Show Must Go On and Old Fashioned Love Song.
Yes, those are all great, well worth checking out
You said 'even though I've never been I do still understand'. I like that. I've heard this song for decades without being able to understand what it means -- but what you said really makes sense.
I'm not sure if this is the title but the song is called Black and White from Three Dog Night
I
Loge this song; haven’t heard it in awhile!
Grooviest song in its day
I'm glad I found your channel again and I've subscribed (again). I can barely hear a word you're saying. I have to turn the phone over and put the speaker to my ear to hear. Can you do something about that?
All of them lol. Hoyt Axton wrote all the hits.
Enjoyed! Requesting 3DN's Easy to be Hard, from the rock musical Hair.
Let me serenade you. You will develop a whole new appreciation of Cory Wells vocal talent
The show must go on.
Easy To Be Hard for a Negron superb vocal 😊
Chest Fever , off of Live at the forum 1969
One is the loneliest number.
A Hoyt Axton classic!
My favorite three dog song is one is the loneliest number you must check it out
Play Something Sweet (Brickyard Blues)
some of their songs were on the Guardians Of The Galaxy sound track. 3DN like others were their own genre.
Song written by Hoyt Axton, check his version out.
Look into music by Blood, Sweat and Tears!
Joy to the World, another song written by Hoyt Axton.
Momma Tols Me Not To Come
It probably sounds familiar cause you've reacted to Elvis in the past....not sure if you reacted to this song though. He had an MGM documentary that came out the following year and this is one of the songs in it. This version I gotta give props to - it has that southern rhythm n blues / folk flavor to it. BUT, if you hadn't checked out Elvis' live version you're missing out. And I gotta stress the point that it's not like today, the lyrics aren't the foundation to the song. It's the musical components: the arrangements, the band, the delivery, the timing, the feel etc. No bias, but Elvis takes this to another level and THIS IS a good version with talented artists. PEACE!
The genre was ' soft rock soul ' , very few groups were in this genre, and even fewer had multiple lead singers. The 70's was a testing ground for new ' story telling ' music, the band America was another one.
The songs you have reacted to by this group all had the same lead singer you should try some with the other two singers doing lead.
React to Ritchie valens he died in the same plane as buddy Holly and the big bopper
Mama told me not to come as a classic
think Gospel
To not offend Oklahomans Three Dog Night changed the line from, “In Oklahoma, not in a coma, what does it matter?”
@@57mab Hoyt Axton’s version can be found on RUclips.
@@57mab I just listened to it. I got the lyrics slightly wrong. He says “Born in a coma.”
He doesn’t mention Arizona at all.
Try a little tenderness
are you in a giant cardboard box??
I THINK YOUR TRACK WAS DRAGGING DUDE,USUALLY A LITTLE FASTER
when you rub your chin, is that supposed to make u look intelligent?? like you be really contemplating what he be sayin... like yo... know what i mean.... who day is... whay you stays? do day do dat? is it yo burfday??
Elvis Presley’s version is better?
