I've watched so many tutorials trying to set up my first ExpressLRS module and reciever, and this is by far the most straightforward and clear. Solved my issue too. Thank you.
SPI receivers DO NOT support D(D250, D500), F(F500, F1000) and Full Res(100Hz Full Res, 333Hz Full Res) Modes (Packet Rates) and thus will not bind or sync with a TX module in any of these modes. This helped for me to bind Boxer, because default was F1000.

and if all this fails, try going to CLI, typing bind_rx, have the controller ready to bind, press enter on CLI first and then bind on the controller and Voila, but do everything he said first :)
Greetings, please help. I can not connect to the remote control. The remote control works, connected to 5 and 7 inch. In Betaflight, I entered the bind word, but it still doesn't work. I saved the settings, flashed it, it still doesn't connect.
hi i got a new radio recently so i was binding everything again and I had some problems with the mob 7, I bound my 5" quad with no problem but with my mob 7 when I plug it into betaflight I cant set up the modes the AUX selector is either blank or auto and the bars on the receiver tab are blank and don't show what channels are being used.
I fly on CRSF daily, and find ERS so frustrating. Imagine: pure field, no wifi, no computer and friend left me a drone. How can can I bind it offline? Is it not a disaster?
Some dump reason maybe the USB cable, some even with the data mark will still not be recognized. Try a different cable to see if it works. Or try to force the FC into DFU mode to see if it works, press the button on the fc and plug in the cable at the same time should do the job.

Ok. I have a Pocket radio with 'PACKET RATE F1000 AND TX POWER 250 mH' trying to connect with MOBULA 8 and it doesn't work. What's wrong. Connecting with phrase. Radio version 3.4.3 Mobula version 4.5.1 (27-Jul-2024). This radio connects with a Pavo Pico.

Follow the method to set up your radio on elrs configurator with a binding phrase , then you can use Betaflight to set the binding phrase for the quad and then hit the bind button and your done . The quad will have a solid red LED and your radio should tell you telemetry lost and then regained if you did it correctly

That doesn’t sound right, if you binding phrase is set up correctly both should have been bounded directly. Can you confirm you Mob 7 is BF 4.4 or above ?

Happymodel support told me officially that the version 4.4.2 will works on analog mobula 8 & analog bassline, always using the x12 FC. They dont recomend 4.5 yet

I wanted to update to 4.2.2 just to get the HD OSD, but the SPI ELRS range doesn't work properly and I lose the drone at 40 meters. I am going to stay on version 4.3.1 as there are no problems with the SPI ELRS 3.0 unless I add an external ELRS receiver later

1st try a few different cables- this is mostly the issue 2nd if cables is not the issue, run the impulseRC driver fixer to see if it fixes the issue impulserc.blob.core.windows.net/utilities/ImpulseRC_Driver_Fixer.exe

Did you reloaded your presets? The binding method is based on using bind phrase which is the recommended method, try to set up your bind phrase for both your RX and TX

I flashed mobula 8 to 4.4 and after arming, 1 or 2 motors do not spin. What is the problem ? How to check motors? I checked the connectors - its ok. Betafly has a reaction to the motors when the sliders move.
@@iFLYXWings6589 I solved the problem, but I'm not sure of the source yet. To test the drone, I used a 1s battery 660mah, which may not be enough for the initial spin-up of the motors. In the manual on the happymodel website I saw the ESC settings for the Bluejay configurator . There is a significantly higher min start power than the default ). After flashing new values and taken a fuller battery, the motors began to spin up as expected . Joining the FPV is not as easy as I imagined :)
I was able to bind it but arm switch does not work under modes Aux 2 for acro/ horizon works fine Aux 3 for turtle works fine , but Aux 1 does not work , but if I change Chanel 5 which is my arm switch h to the opposite direction it works in beta flight. I believe there might be an issue with the board
iv been trying to get my Bassline to bind for over 4 months on and off, iv tried everything and still cant get the bloody thing to bind. Very frustrating. Iv updated the board to the newest betaflight, My transmitter is also on the same firmware, iv tried with and without binding phrases and still nothing. it just sits there blinking red and green. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Which AIO board do you have? X12 or F405 ? Reason I’m asking, X12 is SPI F405 is serial. Also, have you plug it into betaflight to check the receiver tab? Any stick inputs ?
@@iFLYXWings6589 it's the Crazybeef4fSX1280. Which is obviously an spi based board and I have correctly selected this in the receiver tab, then ELRS. I have updated the board to the latest Betaflight firmware, and my ELrs transmitter is on version 3.2.1. If tried binding with a binding phrase and without. Used both 250hz and 500hz nothing. Also tried in hybrid mode instead of wide, nothing. Even took the quad apart to bind manually using the tiny bind button, guess what... nothing. All it does once plugged in or with a battery connected is blink red and green, Which to my knowledge is ready to bind. But nothing at all. I do believe i have a faulty board. If there's something iv missed them I'm all ears. Cheers
For Frsky, i am not so sure. but the general idea is to press the button on the FC or click bind at Betaflight and then hit bind on your Radio. Also double check to see if your protocol is at D8 or D16

I've got it ready to fly now but my eachine goggles are not connecting to the drone, normally I conected them but just Turing power on and search for channels usually it finds the channel easily. This time I can't conect I tried two different eachine goggles, they work fine with my other drones. What do you think?
@@puc19 This happens, what you need to do is 1. Remember which target your FC is 2. Press and hold the button on your FC and at the same time plug in the USB, this will force the FC into bootloader mode, if you do not see "Exit DFU mode" button glow up, try the process again
This video is incorrect, because a Mobula8 can come with a UART ELRS. You should specify that in the video otherwise people are gonna try flashing BF when they dont have to with a UART ELRS

Yes, you need to program the TX as well. 1. Make sure your TX is also at ELRS 3.X 2. Set up the binding phrase to be same as your TX 3. Well ELRS does have a initial learning curve but once you understand it, it becomes quite easy

You can try to force the board to go into boot loader mode by pressing the FC button and plug in the USB cable, it should fix you problem

Have you got the factory board hex please, only the red leds are showing on fc now. I need to put it right back to stock.

It should not do that, so something is wrong. You can check the first tab of betaflight to see what are the arming flags

Which FC are you using? X12 or Crazy F405? Depends on which one your ELRS flashing method my be different.

They are quite similar in performance but TBS is generally more costly but beginner friendly, ELRS has the initial learning curve you need to overcome

Mobular 8 amigo , até agora não consegui vincular com o rádio depois da queda eu ainda fiz um vôo mas quando coloquei no betaflith ele até deu sinal e depois foi diminuindo e não vinculou mas.

Both have to be on the same level, right?
If you have a SPI ELRS receiver, this video should explained the steps, also as long you RX & TX are both in 3.X you are good

I succesfully binded my mobula8 to my controller but when i disconnected the drone with the pc, my radio says telemetry lost and the controller doesnt seem to control the drone

In most of the cases, this will be all you need to do.
i did the exactly same thing and it didnt work =/. I click on bind on betaflight, and when i click bind in lua script, the quad model on betaflight mades a flip and nothing hapens wtf kkkkk, maybe a problem on rx? There is anyway to check it?
Did you reloaded your presets? The binding method is based on using bind phrase which is the recommended method, try to set up your bind phrase for both your RX and TX
"D(D250, D500), F(F500, F1000) and Full Res(100Hz Full Res, 333Hz Full Res) modes (package rates) are not supported by SPI receivers, and equipment in this mode will not be able to combine with an SPI receiver."
This setting is in the elrs script on the transmitter. Write if it helped.

I flashed mobula 8 to 4.4 and after arming, 1 or 2 motors do not spin. What is the problem ? How to check motors? I checked the connectors - its ok. Betafly has a reaction to the motors when the sliders move.
Please confirm you have save and loaded your presets after flashing ?
@@iFLYXWings6589 I solved the problem, but I'm not sure of the source yet. To test the drone, I used a 1s battery 660mah, which may not be enough for the initial spin-up of the motors. In the manual on the happymodel website I saw the ESC settings for the Bluejay configurator . There is a significantly higher min start power than the default ). After flashing new values and taken a fuller battery, the motors began to spin up as expected . Joining the FPV is not as easy as I imagined :)

I was able to bind it but arm switch does not work under modes Aux 2 for acro/ horizon works fine Aux 3 for turtle works fine , but Aux 1 does not work , but if I change Chanel 5 which is my arm switch h to the opposite direction it works in beta flight. I believe there might be an issue with the board

iv been trying to get my Bassline to bind for over 4 months on and off, iv tried everything and still cant get the bloody thing to bind. Very frustrating. Iv updated the board to the newest betaflight, My transmitter is also on the same firmware, iv tried with and without binding phrases and still nothing. it just sits there blinking red and green. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Which AIO board do you have? X12 or F405 ? Reason I’m asking, X12 is SPI F405 is serial. Also, have you plug it into betaflight to check the receiver tab? Any stick inputs ?
@@iFLYXWings6589 it's the Crazybeef4fSX1280. Which is obviously an spi based board and I have correctly selected this in the receiver tab, then ELRS. I have updated the board to the latest Betaflight firmware, and my ELrs transmitter is on version 3.2.1. If tried binding with a binding phrase and without. Used both 250hz and 500hz nothing. Also tried in hybrid mode instead of wide, nothing. Even took the quad apart to bind manually using the tiny bind button, guess what... nothing. All it does once plugged in or with a battery connected is blink red and green, Which to my knowledge is ready to bind. But nothing at all. I do believe i have a faulty board. If there's something iv missed them I'm all ears. Cheers

For Frsky, i am not so sure. but the general idea is to press the button on the FC or click bind at Betaflight and then hit bind on your Radio. Also double check to see if your protocol is at D8 or D16

@iFLYXWings6589 I can't see it. I can see the boot button but not bind button. I. Looking at the mobula 8 manual and the diagram of the FC does not show it, do u have any pic link of the FC

I've got it ready to fly now but my eachine goggles are not connecting to the drone, normally I conected them but just Turing power on and search for channels usually it finds the channel easily. This time I can't conect I tried two different eachine goggles, they work fine with my other drones. What do you think?

the concept is the same, just the mob 6 has a different FC thus your target will be different

1. Remember which target your FC is
2. Press and hold the button on your FC and at the same time plug in the USB, this will force the FC into bootloader mode, if you do not see "Exit DFU mode" button glow up, try the process again

This video is incorrect, because a Mobula8 can come with a UART ELRS. You should specify that in the video otherwise people are gonna try flashing BF when they dont have to with a UART ELRS
I agree , this video was made prior of the HD version that came out with a different AIO. Let me update it to analog only

do i need to program the transmitter too? isn't the binding phrase written in the tx screen? i updated the firmwares i've seen a lot of videos but no one spends a word more on the binding process

Yes, you need to program the TX as well.
1. Make sure your TX is also at ELRS 3.X
2. Set up the binding phrase to be same as your TX
3. If you RX is SPI based set your packet rate to 500hz
