I was watching this lecture yesterday, and I was in tears. Thinking of all the times I disrespected my parents, especially my father, as we do not get along. We rarely see things in the same perspective. And just now, it happened again. Astaghfiruallah. It's difficult to improve and I feel so helpless sometimes, I feel so provoked. I love my parents, I'd give anything for them and their well being, and for sure I have my faults, many faults. May allah guide us and also make it easy for those who are in a far worse position. Most of the time we have different opinions with our parents but one thing you should do when you have disagreement with them is do not raise your voice, do not insult them, just be quite and listen even they are shouting...never fight back by words or physical just run away when they get physically...

I just lost my dad few weeks ago, after couple of weeks of losing him. I started to see how good and great he was, and how ill he really was due too many medications laying around. I took care of him a long with my mother and my sisters. I was rude to him, and I know that I was durhaka to him. But I have tried to repent and helped him. I have changed so many times so I can treat him better. Now Allah has taken him, everything starts to come in. We love him and we never give up on him. We get tired and sometimes we treat them like a nuisance, I realized how awful I really was to my dad. He loved us all and he never give up on us. I have tried my best to be there for him but it was too late, I wanted to let you know, they are your only friends. through out hardship. I am still regret until this day. Everyday I pray to Allah so I can meet him in Akhirat and I take great care of mother, more than I have done. She's my only one friend. We miss him so much. Ya Allah forgive me. I know that I was never good for anything.

Nothing like Islam helped me become more patient with my parents, appreciate and love them for the sake of Allah (swt). For some of us, our parents are the most neglected people in our lives, because they're always there. Ever since we're born, the first two people we saw were our parents. So we think they will be there forever. But when that moment comes, they depart from us as they begin their journey to the other side and meet our merciful maker! For some it's a sad day, but I see it as a joyous journey to a beautiful place. Only, that our parents get to leave a little earlier. I want to see all the good Muslims become reunited with their parents, siblings, friends and families in Jannaha (Insha allaha). The “Shahada” is the first and most important of the five pillars of Islam.
With the pronunciation of this testimony, or “Shahada”, with sincere belief and conviction, one enters the fold of Islam.
Upon entering the fold of Islam purely for the Pleasure of God, all of one’s previous sins are forgiven, and one starts a new life of piety and righteousness. The Prophet said to a person who had placed the condition upon the Prophet in accepting Islam that God would forgive his sins:

I wish I had a mother. It's hard to be a mother when you have never seen how a mother should act. But I understand that being a parent is not easy and it's not every parent that can manage a child. So I don't hate my mother for not looking after me, I feel sorry for her.

Your mother, Your mother, Your mother, and then Your father. "Whatever belongs to you, all belong to your father." Islam is so very beautiful and peaceful. It takes a peaceful mind to see its BEAUTY.
Nothing like Islam helped me become more patient with my parents, appreciate and love them for the sake of Allah (swt). For some of us, our parents are the most neglected people in our lives, because they're always there. Ever since we're born, the first two people we saw were our parents. So we think they will be there forever. But when that moment comes, they depart from us as they begin their journey to the other side and meet our merciful maker!
For some it's a sad day, but I see it as a joyous journey to a beautiful place. Only, that our parents get to leave a little earlier. I want to see all the good Muslims become reunited with their parents, siblings, friends and families in Jannaha (Insha allaha). I want us all live with people we love in the presence of our Allah almighty in peace and harmony and reminisce our days here on earth. Good luck to every Muslim making it back to our FINAL home.
