What drew me to your channel 9 years ago was your sincere personality. Your not fake or putting on a show like so many beauty creators. Your right the Beauty community has changed. Maybe instead of talking about beauty you can do vlog videos of your personal life. I also miss watching Honey in your videos. I'm sure she is watching you from dog heaven.🌌
Jess my heart really goes out to you. Honey was your soulmate and the hole she left is so painful. Dogs are so special and their love is like nothing on this earth. You described a lot of what I went through. When I lost Jordan a lot of things shifted for me, the depression is truly numbing. Just take all the time you need and figure out what you want out of life.
And I completely agree with what you said about social media. It stopped serving me. The amount of time it takes is not worth the effort for me anymore. If you aren’t posting everyday then you’re irrelevant and I refuse to do it. I haven’t looked back and I don’t regret it and neither will you. I’m so excited for your next chapter and making a new start in the tech field. You’ve got this!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I basically grew up alongside my yorkie (got him as a puppy when I was 6 years old) and seeing him go blind and have seizures was heartbreaking. After he passed, I remember coming home from school and feeling so depressed because he'd normally greet me at the door with his little sheep toy ): Losing a pet is harder than people realize, but I promise you'll get through this. Take time to heal and do what's best for you. You'll always have Honey's memories.
I was in high school and we rearranged our living room for the first time in forever and all of a sudden our dog was running into everything. We were like what on earth? Took her to the vet and found out she was going blind from a tumor. We ended up having to put her down a while after that. It was so sad!

Oh my goodness Sweetpea! I'm crying along with you! I can't tell you how much I have appreciated our time together! I started way back there when you had your sweet bird, and of course Honey too! I loved every second of it. I had to take a step back for awhile due to weird health stuff...I've been receiving shots in both my hands for painful joints. Good times (not!). I would pop in but not comment.
Recently I actively searched you out and joined you in your heartbreak over little Honey Girl (did I ever tell you that was the name of my horse?). Your TikToks of Honey's passing was so beautiful in your homage to her. She was such a special little being. I'll never forget the two of you and your sweet relationship you shared with us on the other side of the camera.
I'm so proud of you, Jess, in the way you have graced the RUclips community with integrity and intelligence. Yes, it is now the time to grow in something else, but you truly made a difference in representing healthy choices in beauty. You did it so well and without compromise. Be proud of your honesty and continue to recognize what is important in life. I say without hesitation that you are beautiful inside and out!

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with such a difficult loss. My sweet girl has been gone 16 years and I still cry all the time. I have other furbabies that I love dearly but she was my soulmate and best friend. I know she is still with me. I feel her I honestly thought I saw her the other night. So sorry. I’ve been through that 2 times and it’s so heartbreaking. When I was 30, my family had to put down our family dog Jessie. I’d had her since 7th grade! Then, in 2015, I had to go through it again with my 16 year dog Scout. It gets less raw but you will always miss her. As time goes on, you will remember more of the good times with her, I promise. I feel sorry for people who say “it’s just a dog”. They clearly have never experienced that true unconditional love our pets give us. Best of luck to you. Hugs to you! ❤

Thank you for this! I totally identify with the hole in your heart when you lose a beloved pet. You feel like you'll never get over it. This morning I was snuggling with my soulmate cat, he just turned eight. He's a Maine Coon, they only live to be 12 at the most. I'm crying with you knowing his days are numbered, and I will miss him so bad. God bless you and comfort you in your new Journey. I am so sorry about you losing your little girl, she looks so much like my first dog. I completely understand the pain and realization of an empty home with them gone. As sad as I am to see you quit You Tube, I’m glad that you are doing what’s right for you. You need to take time for you to take care of yourself, and grieve for losing Honey, Get your education and enjoy your husband and loved ones. As a You Tuber, it’s frustrating for me to do, because I have so many songs I want to do covers of, but I don’t feel like filming videos, because well. I’m tired from coming home from work. I have to care for my elderly mother. Keep up with my house chores. I’m turning 50 this year, and I’m going to have my colonoscopy done 😱. IKR! TMI 😊. I’m so sorry to see you go, but I understand how mentally draining social media can make you feel. And I’m really sorry to hear about Honey. I have pets and have had them my whole life and they each touch you in a unique way. I’m so sorry for your loss, I know how hard that is. No toxic, petty environment is worth it. Unfortunately, you run into that a lot in life, it’s everywhere - but , I just choose to stay to myself because of that very reason. I believe being friendly with people is very important but I wouldn’t be stupid enough to trust anyone more than surface level. Not in my life-Sad but true. Oh Jess, I can hardly see with the tears streaming out of my eyes right now. I’m not ever done with the video yet but hearing about your Honey just gets me. I know that relationship with pets and animals have always been where my heart is. Always. I think it hits closer to home because I currently have three 17 year old cats that I have had since they were 9wks old. They are all having health issues, expected for their age, but it kills me to think about losing them. I have no idea what I will do and I am terrified of feeling that pain if loss again. Ugh, it’s the worst. Animals are everything humans aren’t and we are beyond lucky to be able to share our lives with them. I am so sorry you lost your soulmate, best friend and dearest companion. My heart goes out to you.

Jess, I'm so sorry for your loss of Honey. I lost my pet during the pandemic and it is definitely a pain that only other pet owners would understand. I have been subscribed to your channel for so long that I had to go through your videos list to see when I subscribed. I must've been subscribed for 7 or 8 years now, back when you still had numbers at the end of youtube handle, lol. Time flies! I will forever be grateful to your ELF and other drugstore videos. You introduced me to AOA!!! Nobody talks about that brand! I've been following your channel for as long as I have been using ELF and I've been using ELF since the beginning, largely thanks to you! I will miss your calming voice, your cruelty-free drugstore reviews, your love for ELF, your declutters, and I love that your channel was not the same as the others. You showed your alternate, goth-y, edge-y side in your videos and I always loved that! Your makeup storage was also different from the other Alex drawers collections.
I've been in the online beauty space since 2008 and I 100% agree that the beauty community is so toxic and I hate the way it has changed over the years. As a viewer of beauty content, I will never leave RUclips. Short-form content like tiktok does not give me the information I need to make informed decisions on what to buy. So thank you for being one of the content creators who helped me be wiser with my money when it comes to makeup. I don't often comment on RUclips videos, but I wanted to share with you what your channel meant to me.

I lost my senior chihuahua in July. Nothing has been the same. I’ve learned to live without her but it’s a pain I never imagined. The hardest part is coming home and still expecting her to be there. Your pain is valid. I didn’t think I would watch this video but I made it through. I know how much Honey meant to you. Sending you love!

Maybe do something different on RUclips. IT videos will bring in a lot of views and better pay. IT is very important and probably will be essential for a long long time. I know your barely learning but when your ready maybe consider it. Or true crime is doing good too. Sometimes you just have to try something different. You don’t know what other things you like or are good at until you try. So if you ever decide to give it another try maybe try something a little more different. I personally don’t think you were in denial. You gave it your all. A lot of people are quick to give up but you didn’t. You can hold your head high knowing that you gave it all you got.
