How I Repot Oncidiums

- While repotting a few orchids, we will run through a repotting of my Banfieldara Gilded Tower (Mystic Maze). I like to show you how I do things and there are definitely many different ways to repot any orchid. There is no right or wrong, but hopefully you can get some tips from this. Enjoy!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that uses LECA in the bottom of the pots. I mean, my pots don't need any help drying most of the year, but there are those few weeks in winter where it can take a little longer than I'd like.
Michael McCarthy I swear by it! Works really well and words up my watering as I don't have to wait so long for the plants to drain

Yes... no matter how many I get through there always still seems to be something to repot!
I have to ask, r u an RN? I regularly pick up extra shifts in hospital and understand long hours. Sometimes it can be hard to be motivated to work with our orchids after long shifts. And i don't even make videos like you, so thank you for your extra extra work shifts in the grow room 😉
I'm an Anaesthetist :). Haven't done night shifts per se since I was a registrar, but do 24hr on call shifts now in a hospital with a tertiary obstetric unit. I try not to sleep the day after so I don't ruin my normal sleep/wake cycle too much. The orchids are relaxing post call actually! But yeah... I should probably stop doing so much filming those days as looking back I don't make a lot of sense in most of my footage haha
Nice repotting video. Love the size of the Wilsonara, just got a few of those myself, hopefully mine will grow as big as yours. The clear pots are great, where do you get those from please?
Diane's plants at Victor Harbor South Australia lots of sources online! Orchid Den have a good selection. Otherwise eBay (though slightly more expensive I find)
