It's impossible to understand how much those leg kicks hurt, let alone the numerous knockdowns. I've been hit with 4 or 5 much less powerful leg kicks from a much smaller guy than Roundtree in sparring and the next day leg was black and blue, I can't imagine, what the next few days were like for Anders. He is immeasurably tough, Roundtree is so crisp.
@@JakeSimmons-r2u your job as a coach is to protect your fighter, sometimes from themselves. He js tough, he kept fighting yes, but again, if it wasn’t a title fight or something big he is taking a lot of damage that you can’t get back.
@@iChefTheImpossible I understand that. But he did not look punch drunk. And Khalil was gassed after 1.5 rounds (as usual). All he needed was one of his power shots to land.
Dude, they should have thrown in that towel. He took wayyyyy tooo much damage. He’s tough yea, but that doesn’t prevent you from long term damage and TBI. God bless, it’s a dangerous sport ❤️
Ya for sure! Fighters are just built different, they take serious damage and injury's rather than give up, got to respect that! 💪🖤💙 Thanks for the support and comment!
Yeah tbh. That's an automatic loss in muay thai right there. It's protecting the athletes and this was yearrrrrrrrrs back but I've seencfights stopped for far far far less and I'm sure you have. This probably would have been stopped now imo 😂
💯 Agree on both points! Anders is tough as hell, dude is a stud! and Khalil got some real kicking power! One of the best displays of leg kicks ever for sure! Hope you're Enjoying the channel! Thank you for the support and comments! 🖤💙
Ya! it looked really rough in R2, Eryk took a lot of damage! He is tough as hell though! Gota respect him and his team for never giving up! Dude has heart and not an ounce of quit in him! ❤💪🏻👑
so smart, get them worried about the legs switch to hands, then switch back to kicks, keep your distance, use your legs to keep them off of you. A man good with his legs can even keep a wrestler off of him by a vaietly of pusk kicks, side kicks, teap kicks, oblique etc.
I dont get why they dont sqitch stance when they get theier leg destroyed like this. Like sure most fighters wont be as proficient while being switched but thats way better than having an unusuable lead leg
💯Agree, seen a few fights where it's just painful to watch the endless low leg kicks and I'm begging for the dude to switch or check 😭 I guess it's easier said than done though!
Most fighters don't train both stances and for good reason. You can become a far better fighter training one stance than both. It would be good to focus on switching later in your career but you're essentially starting from ground zero and learning to fight again. Tldr, it's a waste of time. Better to learn one stance
The push down on the hands is a basic test to test for concussion/ tbi that can affect your movement how does Joe no know this 😅 that was the first thing they did to me at the hospital when I got concussed in Muay Thai sparring by an mma fighter
Herzog is a joke. The man was beat up for 10 mins straight had three knockdowns at the end of 2 - that third or fourth knockdown should have been stopped or the coaches should have thrown in the towel. That was upsetting
Naaaah! I think that'd be a terrible idea! 😑 Teams and fighters can throw in the towel if they feel the need to, the ref is also able to stop fights that get out of control. 3 knockdown rule would stop so many amazing comebacks from happening! 💪🏼💙👑
Nah bro, he respected him a lot. He touched gloves after every knockdown and even didn't throw anymore inside leg kicks so he wouldn't do permanent damage. Also you can't underestimate Erik's power, any liberties and he'd be down.
Did anyone notice after second round when the coaches talking too anders, the doctor spoke too the coach and the ref spoke too anders, then the coaches blow off doctor and when he walks away the look anders had on his face, like come back!!!! Then the coach is like look at me! You can tell by the look on his face he dont want too go on, but he wants his coach to make the decision because he is a warrior and wont quit on himself! The coaches should have read thay better and called it for him. My opinion.
“Look it Khalil touched his gloves out of respect I appreciate that” like my favorite under rated Rogan quote.
2 real warriors! 🖤
Nothing but respect! 💪

💯 Ya! those are some devasting kicks, Anders took some serious dmg!
Dude is a warrior, tough as hell! 🖤💙
I've never had a leg kick done to me before, but always wanted to do it. How bad would it hurt from 1 - 10 with an untrained leg taking it?
@@eagle5818 Thanks for the support and comment bro! 🖤💙
If the leg kicks were from Khalil I would imagine 11? probably spend a week in bed 😐
Sorry you got kicked in the leg man….
@@solarpoweredafricanvegansp178 🤣🤣
I love how he’s adapted Thai movement to mma that inside Low to jab hook to hook then that Thai ass angle cut PIVOT to round kick was beautiful 😮💨
Ya, 10/10 performance!
Very smooth!
Beautiful stuff! 🖤
I'm starting to like this Rountree Jr guy
Love him!
He has the full skillset, very rounded game
Always moving forward, exciting to watch!
Dude is legit!
Khalil is just diffrent beast after going to Thailand. His muay thai style is so powerfull and cool to watch
Damn I would have stopped that fight after round 2 as either the ref or the coach. It wasn’t a title fight or some big payday event
Eryk Anders is one tough dude!
I agree. He went through all that and probably only got paid 15k max lol
Why? Yes he got knocked down but each time he instantly put his legs up to keep Khalil away. He wasn’t out of it.

REAL argument for a 10-7 on that 2nd round
Ya! Pretty brutal, very dominant round! 😐
Thanks for the support and comment! 🖤💙
80% of fans on mma decisions scored it a 10-7
Thought it was 10-7 too 😂
I feel like I'm going to be seeing more of this guy. That muy Thai style is perfect
Please tell Anders fired his WHOLE team
🤣🤣
Dude roundtree found a new fan!
Big Khalil fan! 💙
Both these guys are warriors and legends though! 💪💪
Thank you for the support and comment bro! 🖤
Homie ate 32 leg kicks mostly to the inside. Anders pain threshold is quite impressive. Fight should've been stopped in round 2.
Ya! brutal stuff, dude is so hard, 0 quit! 👑
Thanks for the support and comments! 🖤💙
Anders did not check one single kick… maybe he needs to be the one going to Thailand
🤣 Agreed!
He didn’t check or throw any either I’m pretty sure
That inside leg kick he didnt check for the whole first round.....

Thai Rountree is a BEAST. That said, Poatan will send this good man to the shadow realm. I've seen enough
Show us your bet slip
The 2nd round was like a 10-7 🤣
Ref should've stopped that after that 3rd knockdown lol

I watched this live and still think 2 things....
1. Anders is a straight gangster.
2. This beats Aldo for the best display of leg kicks ever imo.

Did they make the right decision not to stop the fight it looked bad the second round but he came back next round alright

Is he still fighting!??
Yep! Both are still active! 💪

I love khalil one of the greatest warriors and fighters ever. This fight could've been stopped like three times this isn't boxing
Anders is tough but holy shit, the dude definitely has cte after this fight

The brutality of watching this without commentary is haunting.
I keep checking to see if it was a video game in the 1st round.
In this fight Anders was look very Mediocre fighter but he strong character wise

Jason Herzog is a bad referee, who for some reason never gets called out
Will he walk again 👀
Maybe!? 🤔
Thank you for the support and comment! Appreciate it! 🖤💙
Looking again at Roundtree after his fight with Poatan was announced.
If you knew the guy you were fighting went to Thailand to train Muay Thai, why wouldn’t you do at least some training on blocking low kicks?
MMA might need a 3 knockdown rule.
Naaaah! I think that'd be a terrible idea! 😑

Anders 1 - 0 Death. Gyyyaaaaatttt 😂
Idk. Alex moves forward and is strong too. I dont see khalil getting away with those same leg kicks
And new
lmao joe talks about this fight
i don't know what anders did but i think he's at fault here.
Lack of respect from Khalil. If he truly respected the guy he would've finished the fight in round one. Dragged it on for longer than it needed to be.
Eryk is tough as hell! I don't think Khalil dragged it out on purpose, just the way it went down!
Thanks for support and comment! 🖤💙

if Anders could check a kick😢
