Scott, I really loved this episode, Prada the pig, and it was very well done bike trail.. The fountains were spectacular!! Keep up the good work! I especially like the song at the beginning!! Thanks so much!
@@joyfultrails I had the pleasure of visiting the trail on Saturday. Six miles out and back. Plenty enough exercise and site seeing for one morning for me. Looking forward to trying some of your other reviewed rides.
@@LivHard I'm glad I rode it. Seems everything I do these days is 1/2 hour or so away. I rode once at a leisurely pace, and I think it took 45 minutes or so. Not rising to a regular ride, but worth checking out.
Love your videos! Always enlightening, entertaining, and tickling to the funny bone. I especially appreciate the cinematography paired with a God-honoring song, followed by some brilliant sarcasm!... Can't wait to check out this trail!
I must have just missed you. Did you get a chance to see the velodrome near the starting point of the the trail is. It’s just a little short ride from the factory pump house restaurant. Very nice to watch the races on Saturday night. This actually how specialized bicycles got it start back in the day in the Silicon Valley by selling parts at the velodrome races. Thanks for your comment on my video.
Tremendous video work as always. Rock Hill is also home to the USDGC Championship each year. In case you are not aware that stands for the United States Disc Golf Championship. So you might see a few flying Discs when around town so speaking of minds or heads keep them on a Swivel.
Yes, Rock Hill is becoming a great cycling destination with the velodrome and (literally) world class bmx race track. It will put this cool town on the cycling map.
You missed out on the best part of these trails which is the mountain bike section up in the woods and north of the pump house upriver. The Carhartt mansion ruins are right next to the dirt trails.
I'm typically not a mountain biker...my Townie is built for comfort and isn't very rugged (LOL)...maybe I can check that out on a return trip sometime.
Enjoyed the video BUT I’ve never encountered a PIG on my bike rides! Guess there is a first for everything. I always enjoy your historical insight into the local towns. Thanks again for sharing your trail rides. I had not heard of this trail.
Loving the new logo! Can't say I desire to go to Rock Hill, SC but this trail looks great! Also I can agree as a kid I used to bike/fish on the D&R Canal! #notallyankees are bad
Ha! I agree - my Dad grew up in MICHIGAN! I actually look forward to riding trails in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, etc when I can find the time. Thanks for watching. 🙂
Scott: I always enjoy your videos and escapades. Makes you want to get out and enjoy the world on a bicycle. This was another great one. The only problem was the advertisement RUclips decided to show in the middle of it about "Stuck Poop"! If more people got out and rode their bikes this might help to "eliminate" that problem also.😆
Late viewing video, but appreciate the attention to my home town. Agree with another comment that as a cyclist you might have enjoyed checking out the Velodrome oval, the Criterium loop, and the BMX track. Heck, that might even have added a star or two! Sure wish you'd add helmet to your glove PPE when riding your bike. Thanks.
Love your videos and trails. My favorite here is the trestles and fountain. The pig was a bonus.lol. thanks for sharing your incredible videos. They made me wanna ride an visit trails. Gid Bless 👍🙏
Nice peaceful trail. I just stayed near Rock Hill on my way back from Georgia. Too bad I didn't go into town. the music was good for morning wake up, but would like a little more up tempo. I like going slow on trails, life is to fast.
You had me on this one. I'm usually pretty good at guessing your star rating. What took off 2 stars? Also in response to your proposed Yankee Land. We have Dixie Land. Where you'll swat flies and mosquitoes, contract diabetes from the Sweet Tea and listen to people with strange accents.
@joyfultrails The way you talked about it. I would've thought 4 stars but maybe it was just your excitement about Prada. And you aren't kidding. Coming from the West Coast sweet tea was a luxury. Here, it's a challenge as to how close we can get the drinker to a diabetic coma.
Great trail! We rode it last year, but somehow, and I can't figure out how it's possible...I missed the trestle. Now I'll have to go back and ride it again... haha. Probably the worst part of the video was the "Responding to Comments" section and I'm definitely not saying that just to get into the next video's "Responding to Comments" section.
Could you explain what you mean by calling Winthrop ia woke indoctrination center? We’ve liked the videos we’ve seen so far, but my wife was a little turned off by that.
There's a cyclist in Colorado that is a far left guy...I don't agree with his politics AT ALL but I can still enjoy his videos. In fact, he was a major inspiration for me deciding to do this. So hopefully you guys can overlook... "Woke indoctrination center" is my nickname for pretty much all colleges and universities. Even the very liberal Bill Maher admits that academia is so far left these days that parents would be shocked to know what their kids are actually being taught at these places. There are a few schools that are conservative (like Hillsdale and Liberty) and a handful that play it right down the middle...but very few. I always go on the school's website and have a look around before I give them the WIC label. Usually within 3 or 4 clicks it's confirmed. But hey...I try not to major on anything political on this channel. At the most, there will be a snide or sarcastic passing remark now and then.
Thanks for watching! As for Winthrop...well...these days I begin with the assumption that colleges and universities are woke indoctrination centers unless proven otherwise. Even the very liberal Bill Maher has said, "There is a rot in America, and it's coming from academia." So I clicked around just a bit and, sure enough...they have a Socialist Student Union, a Diversity Council, and a Stand for Justice organization, the purpose of which is to "empower...and mobilize the students of Winthrop University to advocate for oppressed groups locally and globally. We seek justice, humanity, and liberation," blah blah blah. They say they will "create solidarity in the fight for human rights with those whose voices go unheard and unacknowledged." Although I'm pretty sure they are not referring to unborn babies (whose voices certainly go unheard and unacknowledged). Winthrop also promotes Safe Zones to reduce "homophobia" and promote all things lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender/queer and/or questioning/intersex/asexual. All of that was just a few clicks away; I'm sure it gets even worse. I miss the old days when going to college was about preparing for a job or a career. You know - making money. Today it's just crazy town. Defund Higher Ed!
lovly trails etc but how about no music? love the backround noises of the trails and birds etc, music is distracting and frankly ruins the mood. at lease for me anyway. so I had to mute which means if you made any comments I did not hear it, sorry. your not the only one who does this but I wonder is this about the trail or about you riding the trail? I would rather just see the trail, itself, not you,, unless this is about you riding trails and not the trails themselves. anyway the trails are beautiful, but unfortunantly to much advertising of these trails makes them to popular, bike packing seems llike a nice way to enjoy biking trails, for someone who has disability like myself.

I was on this trail just a few months ago. Really good trail although I got lost at one point.
Of all the pigs I've seen on bike trails I have to say that Prada is now my favorite.😉
Please tell me you didn’t get your drone wet at the fountain….?
That was the 360 camera...and it's waterproof! I just had to wipe it off. 💦
Fantastic trail, too short though. Wonderful video.
Thanks! 👍
