I really enjoyed the insight that you brought to this video. I am about to record my third video, and your advice is something that I am going to take to heart. Thanks!
Hey Sam! The sponsor integration was the absolute BEST integration I've ever seen in 8 years of watching RUclips videos. I rarely comment but this video was so good that I even watched the ad without skipping. Amazing job!
Ahhh I make all these mistakes! :) awesome video Sam. Really loved the content, but the fun sponsor segment, and different camera angles for the A Roll made this a fun , and informative watch!
Sam makes me a better creator with every one of his videos. This one goes the extra distance as I was one of the subjects.. Thanks for including me, Sam!
Super valuable content. The best part is how you show the original next to your changes instead of just saying what the original creator should have done. Make this into a series!
I love this video so much! My current struggle is retention. I realized that I ramble so much on my intros so I need to work on that. 😅 Love your videos, Sam. Keep them coming! 💜
As someone who is brand new to creating content, like a baby content creator, information like this is gold! Thank you for your advice and guidance because I will certainly be incorporating it into my next edit.
interesting video, and i have a seen a few videos of "delete this" bla bla bla, but you are currently the only one that makes it fairly clear what to delete and what to add in addition to the video
You do have a natural talent for editing. Though I do believe anyone can learn to edit not all have the talent to understand what makes a video amazing (I am guilty of this). I also believe editing your own videos is even harder because you can't see it from a viewer's point of view. I would love for you to eventually make a video on how to find an editor and the process behind it. Also what to expect and the benefits it offers creators.
This entire video is fantastic, definitely a lot to learn here. One thing I'd like to add that's unrelated to editing is that Owen's lighting kind of conflicts itself, in the background the left side is shadow while the right is being lit by the lamp, whereas the lighting on his face is the exact opposite. Flipping the light he's using to brighten the other side of his face will not only make the lighting seem a lot more natural as if that light is coming from the lamp in the shot, but it'll also switch the camera to the shadow side of the shot, which makes the dimensions pop and make the overall image more pleasing to the eye.
Thank you so much for making these types of videos! As someone with only hands on experience with editing, this helps me have something in mind when I go into editing a video and I will no reference this everytime I go to edit a new one 🙌
First time watcher first of your vids I’ve seen and I’m hooked. That was the first sponsor segment that made me laugh. Sometimes I think the videos that you feature here are easier to edit. While I’ve gave a try on gaming vids like dayz and cod. Talk about hard going.
Thanks for all these tips, i recently started and i am working hard to make a great base that can help me grow, your videos play a big part in that ^w^
Hi Sam! You make the best videos, I just watched at least 10 of them at once and liked all of them! Can you please make some videos on how do you edit your videos step by step? I really like the flow and everything. What software do you use to edit your videos? How do you add voice-over? Do you use the voice recording from the original video or do you add it at the end? How do you add other videos? Look forward to a video on that. Thank you.
Interesting video. On one of my channels I do tutorials, any recommendations on how to break those up? I am struggling with how to do that effectively without detracting from getting people the info they are looking for. I am considering adding face cam so could transition to that some but the focus is what I'm doing on my computer screen.
This is awesome stuff! Do you ever think about reviewing gaming videos and other gaming related content too? I know that's not really your main focus and might not be the kind of content that you are most familiar with, but I'd love to hear your opinion on that kind of stuff!
This is such a good video, funny the arrow advice, I just started doing something very similar in my last video! This gave me some ideas to improve my video, thank you!
Great video sam. Been a sub of yours for a long time and you never disappoint. I’ve seen you become better and better at editing. Although I have a editor that does my videos, you inspire me to try editing some of my videos myself. See you on the next video!
hey probably a weird question but is it hard to create that heaven light effect? I've been trying to figure it out for an open chest but cant seem to find anything
I appreciate these kinds of videos so much! Makes me reflect on the way that I edit currently and how I can make changes for my genre of videos. I know that AdMotion for FCPX has been nothing less than a godsend! I’ll always be grateful to you for that recommendation! Running a gaming channel myself, I’d be curious what your suggestions would be for making gaming channels more intriguing, engaging, or attention retaining. Again, love what you’re doing to help other creators improve!
Was thinking the same thing. That was fantastic. Whoever it is, I would love to see them do more Morgan Freeman impressions. By the way, nice seeing you here as well Odd, I really enjoy watching your gameplays.
Hey I have a question, i recently bought a Logitech C920 webcam and two led rgb light I have one led white light for a key light and then the two led rgb lights in the back round, one is blue and one red but when I have the lights on and my main ceiling lights off, the background flickers horizontal bars bad. Why is this I’ve tried adjusting the rates from 50 to 60 hertz to try and fix this but it doesn’t work. Any suggestions?
This is why we should hire someone who is a professional video editor rather than doing it by ourselves. Finding a good way to make content out of thin air is by itself a time consuming task. Marketing, networking AND videoediting are roles that in companies are spread through whole departments, its very difficult to concentrate EVERYTHING into one person and expect a great result. Even more if you dont' live out of your content, bc you also need time for your job, and RESTING from that job working isn't a very healthy advice.
Hey that Vtuber looks familiar! (Thanks for having me on Sam; was great getting to speak with you all about RUclips!)
Do you edit for socks 🤠
(Socksfor1 is a space man)that one?
I really enjoyed the insight that you brought to this video. I am about to record my third video, and your advice is something that I am going to take to heart. Thanks!
Thank you Sam so much for taking the time to look at my video and giving me actionable items to work on! The sponsorship was amazing btw 😂😂
Sam, I absolutely love your channel, thanks for keeping content creators inspired!
This video is pure gold to beginners! Thanks so much to you and KingKiio for this content!
Hey Sam! The sponsor integration was the absolute BEST integration I've ever seen in 8 years of watching RUclips videos. I rarely comment but this video was so good that I even watched the ad without skipping. Amazing job!
This was great Sam! Amazing tips and LOVED the sponsored segment intro. Very unique
This video was actually SO informational. I learned a TON and it actually made me want to watch some of the featured videos too.
So good, love how easy the tips are to improve on each video - you are one of my fave youtubers hands down, always dropping knowledge
Super valuable content. The best part is how you show the original next to your changes instead of just saying what the original creator should have done. Make this into a series!
Thank for all the help Sam. Can’t wait to get to work!
I love this video so much! My current struggle is retention. I realized that I ramble so much on my intros so I need to work on that. 😅 Love your videos, Sam. Keep them coming! 💜
Sam working with VTubers, absolute chad move! Loved the video, keep up the good stuff as always.
Wow Sam… this was deep!! Your editing vision is incredible. Plz turn this into a series 🎉💯
As someone who is brand new to creating content, like a baby content creator, information like this is gold! Thank you for your advice and guidance because I will certainly be incorporating it into my next edit.
This was an excellent video, and having the guest speakers really added to it. Great content, Sam! Thank you.
interesting video, and i have a seen a few videos of "delete this" bla bla bla, but you are currently the only one that makes it fairly clear what to delete and what to add in addition to the video
Very helpful video Sam, great job! Also love that ad part with Rob, instantly knew it was him! ;D
There's so many actionable tips in this video! I feel like there's so much to take away from this for any channel. Awesome work!

Omg that sponsorship part was amazing! Really well performed, edited, and gave me some big laughs.
Very well done. This might be my favorite video you have ever created. Super helpful because you showed us examples.
Awesome tips! It helps a lot to understand why some videos are hooking me and others not.
Best of luck to everyone grinding out here! Great vid!
This was a great video Sam! It really is a night and day difference with the adjustments you made :) Learnt a lot here!
Thank you so much for making these types of videos! As someone with only hands on experience with editing, this helps me have something in mind when I go into editing a video and I will no reference this everytime I go to edit a new one 🙌
Thanks 👍👌
That sponsor spot was gold! I normally scroll past those sections, but that made me want to listen! GG
I recently discovered your community and I really like your videos!
I usually skip the sponsors but this one was something else
"Show and don't tell" - Sam

This is AMAZING! Best sponsorship segment ever done! I've watched it probably 3 times 😂
Kiio's the man! Fantastic video
Thanks for this Sam! I love doing my own edits and I will try to make my tutorial videos much more interesting!

That was a great ad section...very creative and actually interesting unlike most standard ones
What ever they paid you for that product spot in the middle, it was not enough. Brilliant!

Absolutely incredible video!
Hey Sam! This is a solid video, would love to see how you do this with a GAMING channel.
Interesting video. On one of my channels I do tutorials, any recommendations on how to break those up? I am struggling with how to do that effectively without detracting from getting people the info they are looking for.
I am considering adding face cam so could transition to that some but the focus is what I'm doing on my computer screen.
Thank you so much for the REAL Examples!!!!
Thanks for the tips. 👍👍
speaking of captivating content... That sponsor segment was so good LMAO
This is awesome stuff!
Do you ever think about reviewing gaming videos and other gaming related content too?
I know that's not really your main focus and might not be the kind of content that you are most familiar with, but I'd love to hear your opinion on that kind of stuff!
Weird timing! I was browsing your channel for a few things and this popped up 😎
That might have been the greatest ad read of all time 😂
Great video! Also one of the bets sponsor sections I've seen in a long time XD

This was great!
really helped you deserved the views!
Great video Sam!
Amazing vídeo!
Bro… your Elgato brand segment = amazing.
Maybe a stupid question but does the intro for a livestream need have the same short and snappy vibe? Thanks Sam for all your usefull videos.
Live streams are different, but if you are turning one into a video, go back and create a short and snappy intro after the fact.
@@SamWoodhall thanks Sam. Have a good weekend.

Can’t believe you got Morgan Freeman..I mean, God, to come on the video. Amazing content.
The RUclips editing iceberg just keeps getting bigger. Looks like I got some work to do, and some tricks to learn.

Who did your “god” voice?? Love it!!
Was thinking the same thing. That was fantastic. Whoever it is, I would love to see them do more Morgan Freeman impressions.

His name is Rob Raven. You can find his Twitch link in the description!

the voice of god was powerful. I felt fear flow through me.
I'm trying to go to bed and Sam just keeps recommending videos! lol
What's one more gonna hurt!
Oh you can never leave...
Best sponsor section of all time! 😎
I don't show my face but if Morgan Freeman tells me to buy one I suppose I do need one
How much does it cost to hire an editor to do what you just did here and where would I find such a service. Thank you.
Really liked the video
watched some of this live, but u cant miss something u watched live when Sam edits its cause it's gonna be completely different story
