The video doesnt show it but when I was replacing the battery, there are 2 rubber pull tabs for the adhesive on both sides of the battery, one in each side. Make sure to pull on the tabs to remove the adhesive or the battery wont be coming off.
Okay so I just replaced my battery on my C930 and two things stood out: 1. The other guy is right, there’s two adhesive tabs, they’re tiny and black and stick to the battery on the top, too. They must be peeled off and then pulled like a command strip. 2. When removing the back of the laptop, it was much easier to use a suction cup on one of the corners that is screwed down than it is to try to pry it up from the hinge corner with a plastic pry bar. I do not recommend the method he used as it applies stress to the hinge and mine flexed a lot but the back cover wouldn’t pop off. Also the back cover seemed to be designed to lift up at the screwed edge and slide out from under the hinged edge, based on how I had to maneuver it to put it back in.
@@vipgarg8572 Sorry for the late reply, I purchased it on amazon. I think it was the second cheapest option as I had fears about buying the cheapest option available about most products haha
Hi, I have a keyboard issue in my Lenovo yoga C930 13IKB , does the keyboard is replaceable or the whole case need to be replaced ? Thanks for your help.
Hey great video! I have a question: my lenovo works fine, there are no real issues except that my battery drains ridiculously fast. When it's charged at 100% the pc tells me I have 20 min before it shuts back off! Is that something I can fix by disassembling it and cleaning the interior or something else? What would you suggest? Thank you :D
could you please help me? my son spilled water on his lenovo yoga c930 laptop and water went all in his keyboard unfortunately its not power on. what should we do? Should we purchase a new motherboard?
I have a single vertical line on my panel that just appeared, not sure if it is the panel or the ribbon. Looks like getting into the panel is something I dont want to do. So I assume no good way to just replace a ribbon?
Not easily.... touchscreens can be a real pain to disassemble, especially for someone who doesn't do this for a living. I would try and find your screen as an assembly and just replace the whole thing.
Hey! A bit of beer fell on my Lenovo's 930 keyboard, the laptop works perfectly, also i did a hardware check since the Lenovo's site and everything seems to work correctly. But some keys stopped to work, so you think that I could remove and clean each non working key, or instead i should contact the technical service for a proper cleaning of the components? Thanks a lot!
Hi mine is running hot and I heard it was because it is dusty so I was wondering where the dust would be and if it is dusty (2 weeks later) Well now it isn't turning back on I'll pop it open when I get the tools
You fall through a trap door under you into the pit of despair. Really though it just keeps the thermal paste thickness even and keeps the excess thermal paste from coming all out on one side.
keyboard replacement - how handle the small pegs behind the keyboard. The keyboard supplier provided this instruction: "The plastic pieces can be removed by using a very thin sharp object and the plastic pieces are added once the new keyboard is in place w/ a hot glue gun." Anyone have experience with doing the procedure, how difficult it is to cut those pegs out and re-attach?
Yes, it appears he neglected to mention this. You have to peel up the tab of the sticky strip and pull it out from under the battery or you will damage your C930.

Looks like its held by dozens of tiny screws, should be replaceable.
I have the same problem as you, no one is delivering in India either. Just saw your comment on another video as well.

Mine had pull tabs on the sides of the battery. Just peel them off the top and slowly pull sideways until they come out from underneath the battery.
Hi, is it possible to upgrade (add) RAM to this laptop?
No

Great instructions, unfortunately I got to the keyboard and there's a ton of screws and it's a different model to the one I received......
Wow 2 replies I think both are spam.

I'm fairly certain they will never work again, most often when you spill anything on the keyboard it is toast.
@@Sellbrokedotcom isn't it possible to replace the keyboard like other laptops?

What happens if you tighten them in the wrong pattern?

IS THIS THE HYBRID WITH E INK DISPLAY?
No. The Hybrid is the Lenovo Yogabook C930
The video doesn't show how to do the screen replacement... and just as importantly, the camera replacement.
