I remember this one time a store got used for lying about their clothes being made in the U.S. while they were actually made in China. The tags said "Made in the U.S.A" clear as day, and so most people thought that they were in hot water. However, they got off since the tags themselves were made in the U.S. and there was a tiny tag at the right bottom side of the shirt that said "Made in China." It's a great idea, but this loophole was patched, lol.

Africa is far from those scarcely populated tribes of North America where the colonizers fought over land and power. China doesn't need more land for its people, it rather needs more people for its land and products. And exactly that is where the problem turns out to be the opposite of what you are talking about. They are doing what the US did to China 5 decades ago. Sending all their factories into Africa for cheap labor. For this to work out, they gotta build their infrastructure first, so their growth can continue, even after industrialization. A genocide or any killing of population in general would be counterproductive for this cause. Africa will be their new workforce after the demographic shift with their extremely young population.

The difference is that China isn’t pillaging Africa. They arnt making starving people unlike the rest of colonial history. They are building things for Africans. When other nations did it, they built stuff for themselves. But when China is doing it they are building stuff for China and Africa. There is a big difference. That is why China is gaining popularity. The African people are consistently seeing a rise in wealth and help. Not in just food but machines and tools. When the west came in we built machines and then worsened their nations. China hasn’t and isn’t doing that.

Pal, the very thing presented here is a problem. If China employs lets say 30% of certain African nations don’t you think they can do what they want afterwards? Lets say fuck over stuff? First play nice, then become irreplaceable and needed. Sounds like what colonialism did but in 100 times faster, from simple trade to taking the land. “Lets trade funny tools we have for some of your fur” says the colonialist, then he says: “This is now mine, but wait, that next thing there too, we helped you, that’s the minimum you can do” The Chinese says: “I will buy this land and give you a job producing for us” then he says: “Do as I say or that village where we employ 80% in the factory rots with the end of the factory, we make the rule, you follow it or we shift next door” hmm sounds like Africa gets screwed again

Heh, funny thing that you mention bombs and invasions. The Chinese government, not the people, they got nothing to with it, has done its fair share of bad things including mass censorship, systematically suppressing the culture of their annexed neighbors, building concentration camps and importing slave labor from North Korea. Oh yeah and their oogling of sovereign nations nearby is threatening basically all of the globes technical infrastructure. BUTT this is not Africa's problem. You do what you gotta do to protect your people and be it accepting China's yoke. It's the global power's fault for not providing superior or equal "help" as China does. Is it ultimately bad? Yes.
