Really good job on this work. The measuring of the tire knob gap is something I've never watched a motoblogger do. Very important data. Much appreciated.
Definitely fun little machines. Taken mine all over the place- great lightweight ADV bike. Tries- now running Dunlop 605. A great tyre for both on and off-road. Cheers for the upload 😎👍
Thanks for the tire review. I love my ‘21 Honda CRF300 Rally. With only about 4,000 miles on it, I’m still on the stock tires. They’ve done well so far, but, I’ll be looking for something a bit more aggressive when they wear out. Happy Trails
Ive used Dunlap 605 on my last 2 bikes. They are on the "soft" side also. If "longevity" is an issue, look at these. RevZilla costs for 605's are $44 - $64 (depending on size & front or rear). RevZilla costs for AX41's are $109 - $231. You could buy 2-3 sets of 605's for each set of AX41's. BUT, everyone's preference in tires is sooo objective. Find what works for you and stick with them.
Ever considered Dunlop Trail Master Mission Tires for 50-50 riding that has strength & longevity ? I am a rider with similar riding needs & wants mindset as yours. So I might do a build similar to UR Honda NC750 DCT approach but with a Kawasaki Versys 300X MC. It has good power/comfort for HYW/Interstate travel via twin motor and yet has a low seat height & a 386-400 lbs. wet wt. for all gravel/dirt jeep road travel and mild off road single track trail riding at low exploring speeds. Also KV300X has much lower MSRP $ as a starting point for such a mc build than the NC 750. Thanks for the mod ideas & MC reviews. PS: Also looking at the 2024 Royal Enfield 450 Himalayan Adv motorcycle for my “Unicorn Exploring Bike.” LOL !!! Keep up the good work here, - great stuff !!!😎👍

The IRCs are better than people say..
I would love to here more of your thoughts on the lowering of your rally

Love the AX41 tires! My all time favorite.

Yeah that’s another big plus of the 605’s. I’m excited to get some on this bike
looking forward to the d605 test too -- they are much more budget friendly !
