She sounds a little like Olivia Newton John. When I was a kid she was one of my favorite actors. My cousins, who lived in another city, and I would plant ourselves in front of the t.v. to watch Mod Squad. We would talk sometimes on the phone watching the program together. Julie Barnes was our favorite character. R.I. P. Peggy Lipton.💖

@vnssalas3368 Julie or Julia Barnes was a Canadian producer along with her brother Cliff Barnes and they produced the Canadian group The Poppy Family consisting of brother and sister Susan Jacks and Terry Jacks. One of my favorite songs by them is Free From The City.

Where you love like heaven is an excellent remake of Donovan classic. The arrangement is excellent❤

@nyumupuvmmpa5172 Susan Jacks is the real deal and the real life version of Julia Barnes and a more musically talented version of Peggy Lipton, not Peggy. Susan Jacks was a member of the group called The Poppy Family and she was from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
And one of the songs she sings that is my favorite is Free From The City by The Poppy Fields(1969) that is much better than Peggy Lipton's song here. Susan's song here is from the same year as Peggy's.

I agree with you, the Poppy family. Which are you going to Billy is beautiful song. I will check more music from Julia Barnes. ❤️

@@nyumupuvmmpa5172 Free From The City by The Poppy Family(1969) is also a beautiful song. Julia Barnes was a fictional character on The Mod Squad played by actress Peggy Lipton(yes the same name as Lipton Tea).

Saw the thumbnail and thought, huh, I don't remember her singing. Watched a few seconds and realized why. She was not where it was at!

Lip-sync, which is kind of unusual for the Hollywood Palace (this show). By the time I got into this very building were this was filmed they had turned it into a dance club (in Hollywood on north Vine St)

    Peggy Lipton?
    Singing?
With all due respect, Quincy blew an opportunity to produce a potential album for her.

Lou Adler did a pretty good job on 'Peggy Lipton' album 1968 - with The Wrecking Crew includes 4 songs by Peggy, which are as good as the Carole King sings
