Always been some arguments about that. Much as I'd like to believe it's an 81, according to the guys at BC Rich (including Neal Moser!) it's an 83. There were some USA builds from around 81 - Mine is a Japanese import so it could be that it took longer to produce. It's very nice regardless!
Amazingly no! It's the same paint finish from 1983. The sides and the back are scratched and dinged to hell, but for some reason the front of the guitar has never been damaged.
They did some great stuff regardless. John Hudson and Trey Spruance were pretty good. However I did like the dynamic with Jim - He was going to play metal whatever they said. That created some interesting sounds.
@@brianharned9501 Thank you! It's not going through the Spider. That belongs to my girlfriend Terri. I'm using a Fender Frontman 25R straight in with no pedals.
Sick guitar and great playing, homie! This song seems like a lot of fun to play.
The good stuff !!
Hell's yeah, good job buddy
Nice job man!
If the Serial Number starts with 83 its actually an 81. Which is an even higher quality B.C.

Is that a refinish? Looks so good!

@@hrgiger Because you really know, right? Because you take their word as blind truth. Pfffff these guys...
@@FeelingShred Well I don't know for sure, but he was pretty crunchy.
They definitely lost something the moment they kicked Jim out.
Did you play that thru the Spider?🤘
Great job btw

Cool is that a neck thru???
Yes, it's an old 83 NJ Series.
Sounds like something Metallica would do.
