"the glue that made FNM cool" ehh, I wouldn't go that far. I comment not as criticism, just to share my own opinion :). I thought King for a Day was awesome, and Sol Invictus pretty good. Having said that, saddened that Jim and FNM never reunited. I was happy to at least read Roddy was disappointed Jim did not return. Best wishes Big Jim, wherever you are!
@@ThirstyEye Jim martin was and i think he still is a "metalhead". and his era with fnm was more obscure and seminal for the 90s genre....but on "king for a day " the guitarrist was Trey Spruance from mr,bungle....another metal-head but more technical and sophisticated.
I swear this is the greatest song next to nobody has heard. I can't help but wonder how things would've turned out if this album had been promoted better.
I think FNM are, in esscence, Mike bordin and Bill Gould. They were who decided keep going with the band. Their first best choice was roddy, then jim and finally Chuck. Then... the patton era its just like an alternative reality. Like magic.
@@agitamaresI agree. I was just stating that Jim essentially found Patton via Bungle cassettes. I didn't mean that Jim was the core of FNM. Faith no more is hard to wrangle and it's all down to personal tastes. I love the real thing, angel dust and much of kfad. When I think FNM I don't think Jon Hudson.
@@agitamares he didn´t but when Billy asked him on the phone to be part of reunion, he accepted but at the end of the call jim martin made a "fax joke" at the expense of billy so the band refused to let him go in the reunion, shame, it seems billy was the most anti-jim in fnm tho
@@agitamares Refused?? Jim refused?? They offered him the "amazing opportunity" (their words) of playing Angel Dust in its entirety back to back on the new tour. The album where Jim was sabotaged and abandoned by people he considered "close friends". You're just one of the many that fall for the bass player's lies and manipulation. Gullible people are easy to be fooled.
Good music is art and shouldn't be judged by commercial success, but this is freaking Jim Martin and James Hetfield! Marketing really dropped the ball on this one.
I saw a negative review of this album and to be honest, this isn't that bad. Never listen to reviews, make your own judgments. I think this is pretty good for what it is.
Haha a few hours later and I'm here thinking the exact same thing. It's amazing how derivative both guitarists were from Metallica style riffs, but added groove to it.
Just discovered this gem, it should be more available to the public. Jim was the glue that made FNM cool in my opinion.

hard to believe this is the same guy that released "swingin' through Nashville" in 2020 very diverse artist
I just imagine Jim one day go back with FNM !!!! It's like my dream since I'm 19
What a riff maker! We miss you Jim
I googled what music was released on the day I was born and this was one of them! I love listening to all types of music this is cool!
Don't know about music but I was born the day The Undertaker debuted. We're old.
Welcome to Earth!
this is a great track from a fucking awesome album, need more Jim!
F.N.M. Lost Their Mojo When Jim Left.
He got fired I thought
What a massive riff
Love it
Jim Martin & Hetfield, cool. Thanks for the upload
hetfield!
hetfield?
I swear this is the greatest song next to nobody has heard. I can't help but wonder how things would've turned out if this album had been promoted better.
Jim Martin is Faith No More.
Jim was the talent scout that found Patton for the band.

Groovy as hell.
One hit track of killing cuts 4

Trying to picture Patton signing
Nineteensixty fiiiiiiive yeah! Nineteensixty fiiiiiiive yeah! The demon warp is comin' aliv- oh, oops wrong song.
Ahahaha
James Hetfield does the rhythm guitar and backing vocals.
Yeah, YEAHHH!
@@ThirstyEyeDumbass made an entire career out of "Ye, Yeeeaaaaa". Those 2 words should never be in metal.
Thanks for the upload! lost this CD and only have the empty case now
shit happens! cds are like that
Диск кто то украл
fantastic
How have I never heard this? Rock!
Jim Martin is ridiculously underrated
Thanks for uploading this!
COOL, thanks!
fucking good
strange hes not on spotify 🤔
Am i the only one who gets a La Sexorcisto vibe with this track?..HAIL JIM FOREVA (in Hetfield voice)
First thing I thought immediantly
Fuck! This king!
Nice!
Jim Martin is Faith No More without him on guitar the band just isn't the same. They've lost part of that sound i loved.
Yeah, no. Jim is great but what faith no more became after real thing is legendary.
King for a day is great tbh trey spruance is one of my fav guitar players
Their most iconic album is angel dust, and Jim hates it so...
Nice solo
Jim Martin and John Hatstand - heavier than a can of piss
The guitar tabs for this track do not exist anywhere in the internet...wtf?
Make em ; )
Learning riffs by ear can be challenging at first, but rewarding as fuck. Plus the riffs here are pretty simple. Cheers!
any one knows the lyrics?
Is Hetfield doing backing vocals on this?
@@Zerothson yes!!!

white zombie groove

@@LoganInThailand I just learned that Jim Martin were in a band together that predated Metallica. Perhaps Burton was influenced by Martin.
@@dainfuentes8168 I'm guessing you just watched the video about why Jim Martin was kicked out of FNM too haha
Forget comparing it to faith no more, this is way better than Metallicas late 90s music.
The mix is terrible though.
It sounds like a demo.
Bought this when it came out, liked it - some misses and some great ones. The drum sound is the worst part of it.
I feel like i could re re cord this and make it actuly sound metal lol and not like shit
White Zombe rip-off.
Yes, they ripped off his sound in FNM.. sad huh?
