Explain the auto purger sequence ...hansen

@mrcalifornia_7177 It's like any other refrigerated purger. We refrigerate the foul gas well below saturation, allowing the ammonia to condense to a liquid. This separates the noncondensables from the ammonia. Once enough has collected to open the float, then the purge cycle will purge out the noncondensables into a bubbler. You should read the hasen manual. Or just check out the hansen website and read the bulletins / O&M manual.

hello guys, greating from VEnezuela, this video made remember when I just find this kids ofa desing failures by fabricant. But I have a question, dis you reemplace de damange coils, and how much it cost at that time?...... ahhh Congrats droping these videos , love them!!......thanks Daniel & Sebastian......whata a super profesional job!:...

This whole job cost a lot of money. It all could have been avoided if the manufacturer would have protected the coils. The coils were about $30,000.00. The Freon lost was almost $29,000.00. And the fan was about $3,000.00. About $62,000.00 in parts and freon. Not adding labor into this. I still love the design of these condensers. I would still buy them but make sure we protect the coils.

@@alliancetechnh3368 oh man, the coils were replaced by new ones and $30k...it´s insane!... but we know those coils are the most value´s parts in condensadors.

Do you have any advice for someone trying to get into ammonia.

It's amazing. Buy more tools. Lol. Way more with compliance and regulations.

What a shame. I've not had the best luck with Zeihl Abegg fan assembly's. Although that's not a failure I've experienced.

Man that's a shame. What type of refrigerant does it use. I have never seen a condenser with a setup like that with the sump and pump. Does it possibly spray water on the coil. Thanks for the video

It's like a evaporative cooler aka (swamp cooler). It gets the pads wet and Cools the ambient air before it passes through the coils.

He said before it was freon wich would make this an environmental disaster as well as it is a famous ozone layer destroyer that I thought was phased out long ago globally! The motors should be flipped around so that the rotors are at the top with the motors below them inside of the box. The motors will be possibly harder to get to for service but its clearly worth it compared to this happening! If the rotors then do come loose they will not fall into the coils but just rattle around on the drive shaft. Having the fan rotors hanging down from the motors like this is a recipe for disaster esp with the coils so close there is no space for the rotor to go but slicing like a lawn mower into the coils.
