Yoo love it man - would just add that for longer term prevention gamers should focus on performing endurance-based exercises to build tissue capacity along with understanding their own schedule (how often are you taking breaks, load management). Identifying the posture / ergonomic contributions are a great start :) Stretching oftentimes only provides temporary relief as it does not address the underlying cause we see when working with players (wrist conditioning, playing too much, wrist position as you mentioned)
@Wiley Cat Definitely - I actually have all of those covered in my content and speak about a few of them in my collab video with Ron awhile back about gaming shoulder :) have alot of routines, complete ergonomic guides, etc.
Just wanted to add my personal anecdote. I started to get wrist pain from wrist extension, and couldn't stretch my right wrist nearly as much as my left. If I tried to started to feel pain. By simply warming up and stretching my wrist before playing, the pain entirely went away in a few months, and I now can stretch my right wrist just as much as my left with no pain. Don't underestimate warming up!
Could you provide the exercises and techniques you applied? I would highly appreciate it. I’m in the same boat as you were, I’ve had this wrist pain for like 2 years now. When using a mouse I can move my wrist to the left without pain or motion issues but I have pain and lack of range when I aim to the right. Thanks!

Nice ad on the CBD!!! From Canada here, and it’s been doing myself and my animals wonders. I suffer from ADHD and chronic anxiety due to the medications I was on as a kid for ADHD. I now use CBD and sometimes more than CBD products as THC products are legal here in Canada. Really cool to see a gaming channel advertising cbd products.
Been told I have forearm tendonitis and that I had a pinched nerve in my neck causing discomfort in my forearm. Looks like I’m retiring from cod as much of a good outlet it’s been for me. These issues have been going on for far to long and keep becoming more advanced.
Thank god someone finally said it , ever since i held a mouse people were like " oh always use low sens so you dont mess up your hand " even tho i get it that low sens causes people to use their arm instead of wrist but they just lower it and flick XD
This video needs to be titled all caps...”DO NOT WATCH THIS IF YOU HAVE WRIST AND FOREARM PAIN WHILE GAMING.” The only shred of any advice that will actually help you was summarized up into “rest and stretch.” This is completely inappropriate for you to do AND without consulting a single credible source. “I think this is the cause” is going to send people in the complete wrong direction. If you would like to state your experience as a gamer that’s fine but this is outside of your scope of practice all you should be telling people is if they experience wrist and forearm pain AT ALL - consult a professional.
this might sound stupid to some people, but im getting close to 30 year and i noticed im getting stiffer and when i play i get sore after some time followed by pain if i play way too much or type in a weird position. what i noticed help's preliminary is to do basic wrist and joint warm up exercises and streches. but dont overdo it, just a 5-7 minute warmup you can do while watching a video seems to be enough to help get way less fatigue, joint and tendon pain.
I was in the military and I've been pc gaming for a while now. The military helped cause pain in my wrists from all the dumb shit we do. I started feeling pain in my wrist after a while, especially when gaming on MKB. My love for gaming wouldn't let me stop though. My solution was to switch to an ergo gaming mouse. It felt REALLY weird at first, but I got used to it fairly quick. Since switching to an ergo mouse, I haven't experienced any aches or pains in my wrist. Not saying that this is the solution for everyone, but I would 100% say give it a try. My choice was the Glorious Model D-. I don't feel like the weight of the mouse would contribute to the pain, so get what you prefer. You could even get the famous brick of a mouse, the G502. I just think ergo is the way to go from here on out.
For me, as an arm aimer, i had wrist pain due to my wrist touching the mousepad. Now i am holding the mouse so that my wrist is close to the mousepad without touching it.
I currently don't feel too much wrist pain while playing, but what really hurts me when I play is my nose, in fact I have the feeling of my nose being burned by the cold every time I inspire through it, is it due to the fact that I have less blood flowing through my nose while being focused on gaming ? Idk just wanted to share
I'm here because for the last three weeks I haven't been able to use my arms at all. I can barely make my own food and eat it. Haven't showered for three weeks and I'm using speech to text to write this. No gaming at all. It's all from playing too much. I reached the breaking point. it's been like this before but only for a couple of days at a time. Make sure your desk, chair, keyboard everything is good. Buy a cheap "ergonomic mouse" like a vertical one for non-competitive usage.
I think really the only two things that matter in the video is stretching and TAKING A GOD DAM BREAK. Go to the gym or something and work out and add in some mobility stuff at the end to strengthen your joints and help improve ROM. And also stop resting your carpal on the desk, that’s not your wrist which is why most people complain about wrist pains myself included. ( just started to feel pain because my muscles were very tense but I was also using my carpal as my anchor point so yea you live and learn)
Should I just stick to 1 FPS game? I play a lot of them like COD, PUBG, Valorant, CS, APEX etc and I only play for 2 hrs a day I don't feel like im particularly good at any of them.
how hard should i grip my mouse? I play on a high sens and I like to hold my mouse very firmly but it also makes it very hard to hold angle for very long. gripping my mouse makes my aim more snappy but Im not sure whats more optimal a stronger grip or a lighter one
personally, ive been playing minecraft for 2 years and have never experienced wrist pain, as because of the constant clicking most minecraft players aim only with their arm and no wrist
Yeah. I angle my kb diagonally, where the left side of the kb is higher than the right. I also move the kb a bit more to the left, so my arm is kind of in it's natural resting position. Just experiment. A lot of the positions you try may feel "weird" but give them some time before you say "that position isn't for me". Because many have been using their kbm in a bad position for so long, it feels "natural", but it's not optimal for your body. Try and get your body in it's natural resting position, and make adjustments to the kb. Your gaming might be off a bit, like movement, but you'll get used to it and be back to your normal skill again in no time.
Ron Rambo Kim: In this video I'm going to cover why you get wrist or forearm pains while gaming. Me who gets pains around my shoulder area: Yeah... that's pretty cool 😅

What do you think about wrist planting? I tend to plant my wrist which helps a lot with my aim. But downside is that i developed some pain around my wrist tendons. Idk what is the proper technique, some people says planting wrist is bad because it limits the manueverability of your wrist. And some says you can not have enough control without planting your wrist.
@@1alperenn makes sense. Now replying to ur original comment, for me personally planting wrist helps with the aim coz i am a high sens player so it gives me more control over my aim. But if u r a low sens player, then i think keeping ur wrist little bit over mousepad in mid air will give more freedom to ur movement.
