I just want to point out from the perspective of a person with legit carpal tunnel. It is not limited to just your fingers. Your entire arm will go numb, and not only that it will result in some of the most horrific pain you can imagine. I thought my nerves were dying. I have had to sleep with braces on both of my hands for over a year now, and it has only dulled down a bit. Carpal tunnel is no joke. It can happen immediately with barely any warning.

@@FriginHavoc Quick question. I played video games in the morning for like an hour or so but then i stopped and out of know where my thumb feels weird and i cannot move it right. When i put pressure on it for example like pressing a button it bends. I dont have pain or numbness. It just feels a bit weak. Should i go to the doctor?
Thank you so much! I kept thinking I had carpal tunnel and tried every stretching exercise but the problem wouldn’t go away. It turns out it was cubital tunnel syndrome this whole time. This video is a life saver!
The distinction between compression of the carpal tunnel and forearm muscle fatigue was really helpful. I didn't even know the symptoms of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and just assumed my soreness was a symptom until I watched this video. Thank you or clearing that up.
I've also got anxiety about this and this video just makes me more terrified about my health, because as it stands, there won't be anything i can do about it.
That towel solution was a lifesaver (my setup doesn't look good anyway so I'm not picky). I also have this vertical ergonomic mouse to help keep my wrist off my desk. A lot of people say it's not their favorite for fps games but I've used it for so long I'm used to it for pretty much anything
In order to prevent this carpel tunnel shit, I watch this vid, like, subscribed, and watch this guy streaming on Twitch all the time. Thanks Dr. Fracno for providing solution
I love the idea of this being "for gamers". Obviously it's helpful for anyone who sits for a long time and uses a mouse and/or keyboard, but I feel like gamers are the most stubborn about doing this kind of stuff or are just uninformed. 10/10 would stretch again
The two things he said, that cause CTS, I've been doing for the last 8 months gaming on k&m. I've been to emergency 3 times complaining about numbness. Everybody just got really quit after describing to symptoms. I had to research on my own, to find out what was going on with me. I remember it started the first time I tried k&m for gaming, it strained my fingers, so I stayed on controller. I decided to give it another try, and now that's my preferred method of input. I also have old hand, wrists, and finger injuries that makes me a prime candidate for CTS. Since they won't treat my condition, I've resorted to hand, fingers, wrists exercises, and going hybrid. Wish I would have found this video before I started keyboarding. I even used to rest my wrist on my desk when I used controller.
I noticed when my room was too cold the joints in my thumbs wouldn’t tighten and hurt while gaming. Now whenever I game with a controller, I make sure my room is warmer. The temperature of your environment plays a big role in proper joint mobility for your hands since they have very little flesh insulating them.
Found this channel cause my wrist was sore after using a wrist rest and oh boy was this an eye opener. My wrist was sore but no numbness prior. I tossed it to the side, moved my mouse pad farther back on my desk and started going through some of your other videos. Good to know man. Subbed, the wrist excercises are already a good help. Turns out its just general fatigue which makes sense when I play for like 8 hours.

@Devin Fuller I'm a DPT and orthopedic clinical specialist and have been treating gaming injuries for the past 5 years. I have had to untangle a lot of beliefs associated with MD/Online/Orthopedic Surgeon education influencing their pain system (a la lorimer mosely's / pain revolution / CNS sensitization). Often this leads to the incresased sensitivity and the pain is not representative of the state of the tissues. I have worked with at least 20-30 gamers who have had severe CTS diagnosed through MD, through nerve conduction studies, etc. which could have been avoided just through proper education around load and pain system knowledge. Many of these are gamers who have dealt with the pain over 4-5 years leading to multiple visits to physicians and exploring Dr. Google leading to more beliefs we have to untangle As you know PT's work closely with Occupational therapists so I love and respect what you do. I think there is a gap in current healthcare knowledge around gaming injuries, specifically CTS (since as i mentioned it is almost never CTS but more tendinopathy)

lol thanks for the video... I literally paused the video at @ 4:13 to raise my chair, adjust arm rest, and brought up the recline on my chair as shown. I am definitley a 'recline' type of lad myself when it comes to basically any type of sitting, and with that, my form is identical to 3:28. I am going to try this new position for the day, hopefully i adjust to it well and quick. Because initially it's def not as comfy, sadly. Thanks again! Keep up the great work, it is much enjoyed
I've been watching your video series on how to improve gaming ergonomics and I feel it's really helping my setup and my comfort thank you for your help. I believe the culprit for my wrist pain is my keyboard. It's a nice full size mechanical keyboard but it's also quite high off the desk. My fingers are doing a 3.5 centimetre high jump every time they want to get on the keyboard with no ramp to rest on.
Dude. This video was amazing. So incredibly informative. You thought of everything. I have no questions left. Thanks for doing what you do this video helped me a lot. Keep it up you going places!
I dont use a wrist wrest and I have my elbows ALWAYS HORIZONTAL and with space, but maybe because when I Am playing fortnite(kbm) I maybe do tio much pressure and I only felt that pain 2 times in my life one like 5 months ago and the other more than a year ago! I play exacly like 10:36 but felt that pain one day and I was worried if it was tendonitis, maybe the long palmar one!! But thank um soo much for making my doubts disappear!!
Great video! Learned a lot of useful things about the symptoms I've been having. And I think I'll definitely buy that new chair I've been looking at, my arm rests are a good inch below the surface of my desk.

Really loving what your doing.... I'm a competitive Fortnite player and my hands started hurting... Thank goodness I found your channel and due to the many videos you've made.. I've made a fast recovery
Key word, "rest." When resting, drop to the wrist rest. When working (i.e. typing), get your wrists up in the air, where your wrist and fingers are the least stressed. Then, when resting, go ahead, drop your wrists, and take a break.
Happen to be using the wooting wrist rest lol, not only that but the 60he which is the fastest keyboard on the market with pretty crazy features. If anyone is serious about competitive gaming, definitely buy one for yourself. Game changer for me, I mainly play cs2
I've had carpal tunnel in both my arms for the past five years and it really isn't fun. I never really had issues since the doctor who diagnosed me gave me correcting splints that I wear when I go to sleep. I'm a little reluctant to give up my cushioned mouse pad, but I'll have to try using my mouse without it.
Hmm will keep this in mind but I will mention I hover my hands I never rest them. Reason why is similar to why drawers don’t put their wrist on paper it has to do with the muscles in the wrist up through the arm. I literally felt it in my muscle all the way up my arm whilst doing it. Plus it makes typing easier.
I’ve had next to no issues with my hands when concerning games(Usually had more issues with MnK though), but that all changed after not even *3 DAYS* of having a fight stick. My hand became really sore and hurt pretty badly after just messing around doing wavedashes in Tekken. That sucks too, since those things are really fun to play on.
Things are bound to hurt when your body is adapting to a new movement or skill if it utilizes muscles that you aren’t used to using. It’s not necessarily a bad thing. Monitor your pain, and if it’s lasting for longer than 2-3 days then you may need to change something. But if it’s just soreness and adapting to a new thing, some stretching and exercise will likely take care of it. Good luck and have fun!
Purchased the Kinesis Ergonomic Gaming Mechanical Keyboard, and it has been the most comfortable keyboard I have ever had. It can be set at multiple angles vertically and the fact that its a split keyboard means you can set the keyboard at an angle horizontally to relieve any of the strain further more.
Holy I love your videos man, they are so professional and I just cannot wait for you to blow up. Love the streams as well, keep up the great content :)
I sometimes get this injury when i swing my Alucart sword lucky for my vampiric regeneration it goes away in moments, but I do not get this when I use the real Alucard Sword.
Hey, I'm actually really impressed and considering that wrist rest you showed off here. Like a lot I'm a cubicle mouse so I'm always looking for stuff to make my desk setup better.
So I'm a console gamer and I've been playing call of duty for years, I've noticed that for long play sessions I've been feeling pain around my left thumb and directly under the thumb around my carpal tunnel area, now I'm not feeling any tingling at all it's just stressed pain, now based off this vid I don't believe it's carpal tunnel but maybe it is, could I get some confirmation and maybe some wrist excercises?
I remember when I was 13 and jitter clicked a lot and got a bad wrist painand I ran to my dad crying cause I had carpal tunnel syndrom, th funny thing is that I had just fell onto my wrists 20 minutes ago but I thought it was the jitter click
On the delta hub wrist rest. They actually make one that is lighter and has a strap that goes around your wrist to keep it in place. I just dont see paying 50$ for it.
Man thanks for the tips! This discomfort on my pinky and ring finger was getting to me. It's been a week and it was getting in the way of my work. I'm gonna raise my seating height, rest my forearms on the table and maybe use a towel under my right forearm.
Glad to help. I have a ergonomic desk setup guide video as well. These days, when I game I just turn my wrist rest long ways to support my forearm. Works wonders.
True used to play lots of csgo and still do and after hours every day at one point my hands muscles were stiff and wouldn’t react as well when I went back the next day to play = making me bad at the game because reflexes weren’t there therefore yes it’s important to take a break
fun fact you don't have carpal tunnel if your seat is too low it's just have no blood flow, the human hand is like a bunch of rivers if your too low the red blood cells have to work overtime just to get to your hands
nothin in my hands but as of 2-3 months ago for some reason my forearm back near my elbow has been getting really sore while im using my keyboard and i dont believe im doing anything differently i havent moved anything around it just came out of nowhere and ive tried moving my keyboard placing my arm differently even moving my whole mouse pad but it just doesnt seem to go away
i feel some uncomfyness using the mouse sometimes (this started to happen a few days ago), it didn't happened years ago on long gaming sessions, but this video is LEGIT a good source to fight that (a lil bit)👌🏼the tips to prevent it are great too! Idk if i might develop or have it already but yeah, now im aware of it
My wrist is just hurting and my fingers are feeling really sore, I play around 8 hours every day and I don’t think I have good posture on my hands. And I’m just scared what I should do I’m almost 12 years old and never had a job because I’m 12 but I don’t want my fingers and wrist to be hurting the rest of my life

You need to get designing and TM it - this info was outstanding. You also saved me wasting more money on a new wrist rest. I ditched mine and it actually changed my world. Thanks ;)
wow thank you i thought i had it, love your content my dude, im currently binging all your content
Glad to help! Thanks for the support as well.
Spoken and described better than an occupational therapist could! Perfect man!
Excuse You, You Dont Belong Here
Get back in your orderly room!
I discovered your videos maybe a few weeks ago but you deserve so many more subs and views. Your videos are very high quality and it shows you do your research, I hope you blow up man :)
Thats rude, if he blows up he cant make anymore videos :(
awesome video man, just came across you and feel like i am going to be a massive fan!
lol thanks for the video...
I have carpal tunnel AND cubital tunnel, so rather than most of my hand going numb, my entire hand goes numb and feels pain
Yeah, so, I just readjusted my desk space watching this video. 🙃
That’s what I’m talking about!
Glad to help!
So scared to be on my laptop now because of me having signs of carpal tunnel. first it came with a bruise on my wrist, then lately i’ve been having tingiing in my hands. ugh
Great Video! Your production value is incredible for such I small channel. I can't wait till you get the large amount of subs you deserve.
the production quality on these videos are insane, how do you not have at least 100k subs
I’m workin on it!
Great video... Recently joined in on online gaming and woke up one day and my thumb, index and middle finger felt asleep.... Has been this way for about three days now... I have no idea how long it will take to go away but I'm surely going to apply your tips from this video.....
I do a lot of computer work if it's either for school or personal use, and my future goal is to be a hardware engineer so I'm gonna be using to the computer a lot more. Therefore I'm very happy I have my mom as a massage therapist so she can tell me what is wrong, and also your channel to help me learn more of some problems I may be facing and what is good medically. Keep up the good work, I genuinely love these videos.
That’s awesome! Glad I could add to your network of support.
fracno i didn’t experience any medical issues that i needed a remedy for but this was very entertaining and i enjoyed! and i have subscribed and i hope you pump out more juicy content like this because it made those 12 minutes and 6 seconds amazing
Dude your quality of video, wealth of knowledge and personality is top tier! Love the content
i have been getting pins and needles every once in a while and its been scaring me. im happy there is a video on this.
Best video to watch for anyone working at home. I'm spending 10 hours at a time on my PC and the tips you gave helped a lot!
Really loving what your doing.... I'm a competitive Fortnite player and my hands started hurting... Thank goodness I found your channel and due to the many videos you've made.. I've made a fast recovery
Love to hear things like this!
Key word, "rest." When resting, drop to the wrist rest. When working (i.e. typing), get your wrists up in the air, where your wrist and fingers are the least stressed. Then, when resting, go ahead, drop your wrists, and take a break.
Thanks bro. My arm started hurting over a 2 day span and it’s still hurting 3 days later I thought I had ct
Great info man! Keep up the good work
Thank you for sharing this information in an easy to digest way!
I've broken my scaphoid 3 times in my right wrist and had carpal tunnel for ages so I'm going to try a few things
Good luck! That sounds painful.
Such a great vid ! I've made it a habit to do your shoulder and wrist excercise you showed.!
Happen to be using the wooting wrist rest lol, not only that but the 60he which is the fastest keyboard on the market with pretty crazy features. If anyone is serious about competitive gaming, definitely buy one for yourself. Game changer for me, I mainly play cs2
Always great tips and videos FRACNO! Love it!
I play non claw for about 3-4 hours a day and have developed bad carpal tunnel pain in my wrist and some fingers
i cant express how much you telling me this has helped
Glad to help!
COULDNT OF SEEN THIS SOONER?!- love the vid
An incredibly well done video. Keep up the good work man!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice!
Is there some reason you can’t use the Alucard Sword all of the time? Sir.
Hey, I'm actually really impressed and considering that wrist rest you showed off here. Like a lot I'm a cubicle mouse so I'm always looking for stuff to make my desk setup better.
Hell yea!
thanks man. think i have over-use, or tendonitis. whole arm so tight! gonna watch your ergonomics video to set up my new adjustable desk next week
I’ve played on console half my life never had a issue bought a PC a month ago and started being woke up with pain/numbing feeling in my arm
My condition feels like a tickle that literally drops my grip strength to 0
I remember when I was 13 and jitter clicked a lot and got a bad wrist painand I ran to my dad crying cause I had carpal tunnel syndrom, th funny thing is that I had just fell onto my wrists 20 minutes ago but I thought it was the jitter click
He the kohi gamer
On the delta hub wrist rest. They actually make one that is lighter and has a strap that goes around your wrist to keep it in place. I just dont see paying 50$ for it.
That computer setup! It's beautiful 😍 I love the purple throughout it!!
Thanks!
What about the 3D padded Booba mouse pads, that have the dip in the middle?
I think the weight of your arm compresses the booba to the point that it makes full contact with your wrist anyway despite the booba dip.
You saved my life, keep up the good work Fracno
Happy to help!
thanks man, I just got the carpio from Amazon and I think its pretty great!
Hi Franco, I love your videos and I love the clip at the end of this video
That clip was painful haha
A wrist rest despite its name is not for under your wrist. You put the heel of your palm on it. Not your wrist
Another thing with cubital tunnel is that if you sleep with your hands under your pillow can cause it too.
i... uh oh
I’ve been dealing with cubital for a while but also neck issues which makes it hard to zero in on the exact issue. Work less is the move.
Idk if i might develop or have it already but yeah, now im aware of it
I just finished a rhythm game and MY WRISTS AAAAAAEEEE OW THIS HURTS TO TYPE 💀
This was very helpful I thought I was dying. Just some good old muscle fatigue, guess I’ll just chill for a day. Great Video btw!!!
It feels like something is trapped at the back of my hand below my knuckles, I have to stretch it.
My wrist is just hurting and my fingers are feeling really sore, I play around 8 hours every day and I don’t think I have good posture on my hands. And I’m just scared what I should do I’m almost 12 years old and never had a job because I’m 12 but I don’t want my fingers and wrist to be hurting the rest of my life
Stretch, exercise, and take frequent breaks (to stretch and exercise).
