How to Make Easy Thigh Armor [Crusader Cosplay from Diablo III]

  • Hey everyone! Today I'm making some easy mode thigh armor for my Crusader cosplay from Diablo III. They're really bulky but they're still SO LIGHT!

    Amazing you used the correct noun. Everyone else l have viewed says leg gaurds, which are for calves called Greaves.

    I mainly dabble in electronics (3D printing, LEDs and artsy-PCBs) but I love watching makers working in other media, gives me the motivation I need to get on with projects :)

      Same here. I have found personally the best way is stick it on the lowest setting first, then use a scrap bit of foam to practice your strokes and just remember to gently apply it when going at it. Soft and gentle not hard and fast.

      Always wear protection to help fend off cosplay herpes. Remember, no glove no love......Try the thin vinyl latex free gloves while doing it. Your hands will thank you for it.

    I see. I got it. This is good knowledge. I wishhowever, I could find a tutorial about how to make a buckle that works for other people who are not my size lol. I never understood how buckles work man. But ... luckily.. the buckle should work for people my size at least xD

      TNT IS SO GOOD. I'm so spoiled by their foam. EVA mats are great too though!

    Will it help to rough up the surface before hot glueing the elastic onto the back of the armor piece?

    Whenever I use a rotary tool on foam I find it really hard to control and it takes out big chunks of the foam instead of making smooth lines like I see other cosplayers make. Is the sandpaper too rough? I have no idea what I'm doing wrong 😭
