    Dude, subscribed 👍
    You have such a calm, easy listening voice for tutorials, really enjoyed it. Right up until the point the music kicked back in, which then blew out my eardrums.
    Also appreciated the 14:00 mark, where the audio died completely, making me fiddle with my headphones until bang: the music kicked back in full volume.
    So yeah, amazing job, I now need to find a UK leather supplier so I can try this! (Even if myself and next 3 generations of my family have tinnitus ☺️)

    I am new to leather crafting and I have watched my fair share of video's and tutorials. I came across one of your fantasy armor builds and learned a tremendous amount on the craft. Techniques on dyeing, painting, tooling, molding, etc. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I look forward to more tutorials and.... I am currently saving the funds to either buy the warrior kit or at least the pattern and leather. Again , thank you. You are extremely talented and generous for sharing your knowledge with others. Have a great day and stay safe.

    My very first leather project was the fantasy bracers from this series. I made both styles from the pattern - one in shiny black with the wings and one in mottled dark brown with the more traditional rounded edges. Boy, did I learn a LOT from that project. Come payday, its time to get this pattern (already have the leather and tools) but I tell myself that if I want to wear this in public I'm gonna need to really workout harder at the gym than I have been. Tandy, Weaver, Springfield, and Maker's Supply all owe you big time for getting me hooked on leather work!

    • @bjornsworkshop9288
      @bjornsworkshop9288 5 лет назад

      It's mostly a matter of streamlining the process. Depending on how you articulate the armor, many sections of the border will be permenantly hidden under/behind other plates. Since these bits will never be seen, the extra time, energy, and materials are unnecessary. There is nothing wrong with painting the borders beforehand, but waiting until things are assembled may save you a bit of time in the long run.

    It seems like raising an arm with this design (with a strap over a chest) is on the hard side, because the main part of spaulder is mostly rigid (only lower parts are flexible because of chicago screws). Sure, I can use gorget or a cuirass to hold the spaulders, but my costume doesn't suggest using them. Can you please give me an advice on how can I change the pattern to be more flexible?
