    These 'then and now' comparisons are fascinating. As someone interested in the surviving clues of former 'lives' in extant buildings, I find these illuminating and it's great to be able to pick out the small areas that remain essentially unaltered. Many thanks for all the hard work in aligning the modern footage so precisely to the old films.

    The city was so clean back then and everyone was dressed so nice. I wish people still had that same sense of dignity.

    they all seem to have been brought from somewhere and released into the streets. I don't believe they build those houses

      "I can't believe" =/= proof.
      Some of us had relatives who lived there in the 19th and early 20th centuries. They didn't "stumble around", and they knew who and how their buildings were constructed.
      FFS study some history. Not everything is a stinking conspiracy.
