    One thing I will mention to all interested parties is that both these machines use aluminium pumps. Aluminium pumps will not last as long and are not close to the quality or do they have the endurance of a brass pump!
    On the more positive side both machines only use the low pressure bottle application method for applying soap or foam when in use which negates the issue of strong chemicals going through the aluminium pump!
    Chemicals such as some soaps often contain caustic which eats aluminium alive but doesn't effect brass pumps! This is especially prevalent with many alloy wheel cleaning chemicals and is worth noting even if purchase from another manufacturer.
    I hope this is useful information for everyone.
    I worked as a service engineer when younger on many makes over the years for friends and family.
    This looks like a handy product but if you install it outdoors which I wouldn't recommend, I would definitely ensure you protect it against the elements and ensure the entire piece of equipment is well insulated from frost as both pumps and hoses including the lance or gun/trigger will be highly susceptible in the colder months.
    Its always better drain the machine by shutting off the water supply when finished using running the pump for around 3-5 seconds to ensure most of the water is out of the system.
    Again I hope this additional information helps!
    Kindest Regards
    Aaron.

    I guess I should've waited as I have the BASIC model. But I did the same installation that you've shown for the PRO model, using cross braces into the 16" centered 2x4s behind the sheetrock and then attaching the pressure washer bracket to the cross braces. :)

      I am not sure they are even shipping the Pro model yet. I still like the base model and it has been working great for me.

    I bought a portable pressure washer but thinking about taking it back to buy this. Would u recomend this? Do I need an air compressor to make it work or just hook the water hose to it? Will this replace a pressure washer?

    Hello sir
    I saw your video on giraffe tools pressure washer pro
    I wanted to ask what kind of pump and motor is attached
    Also is the pressure sufficient as per given in detail Can you Please tell?

    • @cruisemansgarage
      @cruisemansgarage  Год назад

      No idea about the pump/motor, it is all one unit. Sufficient pressure will depend on what you are trying to accomplish. More than enough pressure for cleaning driveways, siding and for auto washing.

    Trying to do a similar installation as you since I have drywall behind. How long were your lag bolts and wood screws to compensate for the 2x4s?

    • @cruisemansgarage
      @cruisemansgarage  Год назад

      The 2X4s were attached to studs using 3.25" or 3.5" wood screws. The backing plate was attached to the 2X4s using 1.5" wood screws/bolts.

    They call it a metal gun because the basic unit gun does not have any brass connections, they are plastic on the basic. However, all the youtube reviewers were sent basic units with a metal gun for the youtube reviews. Same with the foam cannon, its all plastic if you order the basic. Both guns and soap cannons suck anyways.

  • @dfbsgarage

    If "Giraffe" sent you this unit, then they have essentially paid for your review. There is nothing Pro about these toys, and for the price being asked, they are ripping people off. There are far better machines on the market that deliver more performance for similar or less money.

      Which one would you suggest?

    • @dfbsgarage

      If I wanted a contained unit like this, I'd be looking at the Comet 1700 Static. Yes, more expensive, but it offers superior flow rate, a more robust motor and a much better hose. Induction motors as found on that Giraffe are not suited for pressure washers due to the ramp up and run down times. If you wanted to go lower in price, the Karcher Cube with a wall mount and hose reel would deliver decent performance at a lower price than any Giraffe, while also being able to improve easily adapt superior aftermarket guns, wands and nozzles. Aiming for the stars, a Kranzle or AR-Blue sits at the top delivering performance, refinement and longevity. The sweet spot though is that Comet 1700. @@kevinbrockett4198

      which ones?

    • @dfbsgarage
      @dfbsgarage 6 месяцев назад

      @@Godfather44055 Something like the Comet 1600 Static is another all-in-one type pressure washer that delivery far superior performance, more flow rate and a better hose. It's also serviceable if/when required rather than the throw away item that is the Giraffe. A little more cash up front but a machine that will outlive 6 Giraffe's. The Big Boi Washr Pro can also be wall mounted. I personally run Kranzle machines, but understand not everyone will want to go to that level. The Comet solves that and provides a far superior user experience. I just hate seeing people getting sucked into sub par products that are not all the cost effective to begin with.

      I’d never own gas anything nowadays. Noise, sound, cost-to-run, have to keep gas at my house, keep up with oil, on and on. “Electric XYZ is more expensive” - yea yea, and it has none of the running costs or upkeep. In a few years they are the same cost, but electric is 100x more convenient.
