    Those plastic anchors are meant for brick/or stucco applications. You were supposed to screw the lag bolts directly in to the wood studs.

    I must be behind the times as i've never used a water pressure when washing my motorcycles. And you've seen my Goldwing in my vlogs and it's alway's squeaky clean and glistening!

      100% Ge. I wouldn’t either. Even with finessing of the spray and direction of the nozzle, it’s just not worth the possibility of any water seepage over time due to the pressure. Cruise did mention being careful in using one for the bike. Torrential rain wouldn’t target water like a pressurized flow from a nozzle would. Besides, hand-washing is relaxing and part of the ownership experience. It’s becoming one with your ride.

      @@roadglide I agree with "becoming one" with one's ride. Same goes with doing whatever maintenance I do; being more intimate with my 2018 Goldwing Tour DCT. :)

      I bought a 2300 psi electric washer from Harbor Freight that is cart mounted. Portability and cost is unbeatable especially with their discount coupons. Added the soap fogged, shortie handle and wand extensions off Amazon also a turbo nozzle. Totally satisfied and saved substantial bucks going with their tools across the board. Compare pricing as I do not know the cost of this unit. Just checked on the pricing of this unit. $300. This price point opens 10’s of options gas and electric all more pressure and all portable. A wall mounted pressure washer is an innovative approach in the market for sure. They would likely be more competitive if they included a portable cart with removability which is routinely needed. You can pick up the Harbor Fraight 2300 psi model for $240 and can find 10 to 20% discounts routinely. This would pay for the accessories off Amazon.

    If you need to wash the back patio just lift it off and take it to the back yard. They probably sell another mounting bracket that you could mount to a outside wall. I would also assume you could mount a bracket to a dolly,

    Hello! Mmm....you have an exposed aggregate driveway, if you use the wand only on that type of concrete job, you remove the small fine particles holding the aggregate together and the sealer(ask me how I know) you should use an attachment for that purpose which this is a good quality one ....... Mi-T-M 14" surface cleaner...... also after you wash your driveway let it completely dry and you should re-seal it . Very easy to do with a pump sprayer. I do this every second spring, twenty years later and it still looks new 😁. Thanks for the vid. Be well !
    P.S: a good review deserves a good deed(advice) back.

    I won an electric powered pressure washer from work in a raffle. I love using it. I sold my gas pressure washer since I only used it once or twice a year and was always fighting the carbs. If I was a professional cleaning guy, I would keep a high-end gas pressure washer around, but for small projects around the house (and me living in a single story ranch), I don't think you can beat a small electric pressure washer.
    Gas pressure washers are worth the money when you have to hit multiple story structures without a ladder, plan on using a rotating ground brush attachment, or simply don't have access to electricity in a remote area. I'd also suggest investing in a "turbo nozzle" for any pressure washer regardless of gas or electric. It gives you the power of the zero degree nozzle over a much wider arc.

    A suggestion from a small engine tech, if your unit does not have a bypass, turn off the pump if sitting for more than 30-60 seconds. You can tell if it has a bypass because water will flow with less pressure when trigger is not applied. The pump uses the water as a cooling device. So no flow, means no cooling. I've seen many blown seals because of this.

    This should do ALL you probably need. I have a Simpson 3300PSI with Honda Motor. Inhave a lot of concrete to clean, and actually use a surface cleaner for my driveway/Patio. Change to a lesser tip if you want to have less force coming out, especially on motorcycle! I use a foam cannon for my cars all the time. I recommend Chemical Guys Snow Foam for great foaming action.

    You'll now need to invest in a motorcycle blower dryer....something like a Bruhl here in the UK. They are absolutely essential for getting the water out of all the nooks and crannies in order to properly dry the bike and so prevent any corrosion.

    Accessories. Wand extension(s) and a high pressure multi nozzle rotating surface cleaner which makes large surface cleaning much easier. I also use it on the metal roof and side oy my large metal storage shed. Remember water hose length and extension cord if remote usage away from the house. Do they sell a wheeled cart? If you need portability. There are compress spray can lubes available. Harbor Freight has similar but portable units. 100 ft hose from compressor source may reduce head end nozzle pressure just a thought when spec’ ing pressure requirements.

    Just watched Crown talk. You're absolutely right. Electric vehicles can't be supported with current infrastructure. It won't happen in my lifetime. I do have Electric power tools, mower, saw. They work fine. I'll have the wing out in 2 weeks. Fuel, 87 Oct. $4.39. I have a feeling the price of all motorcycles will go sky high. At 38 to 42mpg is a no Brainerd. Just like the price of used trucks. Sorry I had to go on this blog, couldn't get to comments on the Crown blog. See you on the road .

    Chris you would really like a Black Max 15" surface cleaner for your pressure washer for $100 I saw one at Walmart last summer. It would make pressure washing your driveway quick and easy. I have one I bought at Sam's club that doesn't have wheels by Power Fit 15" for $80.They have two pressure nozzles that spin under the 15" housing. If you don't already have one you will be amazed.
    You have been a big help to me with your videos. I felt I owed you one.
    Have a great riding season

    Chris, Having been in the trucking industry for a great many years, I have used pressure washers for a long time, and these are the industrial type. My current pressure washer is 3500 psi at 5 gpm and will heat the water almost to 210 F way more than what you are using, and this is just a statement not a contest of pressure washers. The thing to understand is that no matter how much pressure you have, to get something really clean there has to be contact made to the surface of some kind with something other than water. That would be a brush or micro fiber towel, a chamois, chemicals help but they are not the complete answer. Over the years I have washed paint away from a truck, without getting the dirt. I also use it on my current 2019 Goldwing all of the time, however I am very careful how I use it, especially since the combination of that much pressure plus the heat can be extremely damaging to painted plastic parts, this I learned from a divot I put in the front fender of my 2009 Goldwing by getting too aggressive. I like you stay long distance from the buttons and switches, however I am not afraid to get after the wheels, (I really like how it gets the brake dust) tires, and aluminum parts. i think the real key to success with a pressure washer has to be using a measure of common sense. I have also found that sweeping the spray and not concentrating it will really help to keep you out of trouble. I love having access to my pressure washer and use it on all of my vehicles, however I have learned a great deal through experience. I good bug dissolving chemical is also the best way I have found to remove the stubborn bug residue, then you don't have to concentrate your spray so much. Hope this will help some of your followers who may be considering a pressure washer, I know for me I would hate to be without one.

    DISCOUNT CODE. I used your link to go to the companies page. I added the pressure washer to the cart and put in my shipping info, email etc. I got distracted for about an hour and didn’t complete the transaction. I got an email from the company prompting me to complete the transaction and giving me a code that I redeemed for an extra 10%. I live in WA state and we have a Sales Tax and in my case that’s 8.9%. By buying it direct there was No Sales Tax, No Shipping and 10% off. It remains to be seen how long it will take to get it and the PayPal transaction showed I was paying a Chinese company. My fingers are crossed.

    Can the unit be carried to the back of the house and the cord and the hose be attached there? Or does the unit have to stay mounted to the wall to function properly?

    • @cruisemansgarage
      @cruisemansgarage  2 года назад

      It should be able to function, although a better solution would be to have a separate bracket mounted in the rear of the house. But, it should work OK sitting on the ground.

  • @lnk4328
    @lnk4328 2 года назад +1

    Mounting bracket is poorly designed. Agreed that it appears to be intended to be mounted on concrete, blocks or brick, but I would never mount that much weight on drywall with anchors. Bracket should be long enough to at least mount to two studs on 16" centers. Think that if I had one, I would attach a piece of 3/4" plywood to a wood framed wall and then mount the bracket.
