There will never be another like uncle willie. Rest in paradise. God is good
AGREE!!! His voice is unique
@@BigBoy74X very unique and powerful
I've probably heard a dozen covers of this song...this is my favorite.
I can still remember the first time I heard him... live on Front Street, Maui, before he became well known statewide. I was walking on the opposite of the street when I heard this singing that caught my attention and immediately drew me across the street. I sat in one of the last two open seats and was blown away. I was truly mezmorized. A moment I will never forget. ❤
You are most fortunate the braddah is a gift. 🤙🏽
Never have I ever seen a rendition of this so powerful and on ukulele. That says two things. Ukuleles are powerful and Willie K is freaking amazing!
Willie k is incredible!!
Tyler Woods Amen

Thank you for being an inspiration to generations. Hawaiian legend and ambassador of aloha. Rest in love Uncle Willie K.
RIP Willie K. The world misses you, but we thank you for your amazing contribution to music.
Going to a live concert was always on my list of things to do. I am sadden for Hawaii's lost of a valuable treasure. Uncle Willie's talent was immeasurable!! He will live on in my heart forever. May God be with his ohana during this difficult time. The Angel's are singing with you, Hallelujah!!!
If he had one last song to play, this would be it. Rest in love unko Willie!
I think Leonard Cohen would be very proud of what you've done here. And now you can ask him yourself. RIP Willie K.
Yeah, It's true...........What a remarkable performance.
Yes!!
Well said Robert...🤙😔
WOW...never could I have imagined that I would think anyone could equal Leonard Cohen's original rendition of this amazing song. Until hearing Willie K. and the power in his voice! Stunning.
Nothing beats a great legend 😇🙏This one definitely touched many hearts through his beautiful and powerful vocals❤🙌
I've listened to many renditions of this song. I can honestly say that this is the first time I have really understood the deeper meaning of the song. Thank you so very, very much.
Thank you for sharing your music and your aloha here on Earth! Rest now warrior, your fight is done. 🙏🙏🙏
Willie K will always be remembered for his beautiful voice and awesome performance. He is also loved and very well known for his cutesy comical scene of fun and laughter that his audience loved. You will be very much missed. ❤️🌺❤️ RIP my precious bradah “Willie K”. ❤️🌺❤️
MEAN! Still bringing the hammah vocals like he was back in his prime. Seen Willie K live for the first time in the late 80's. I was one teenager. I think it was Birthday Bash. He did a solo three song set. I was blown away! Just him and his guitar. The guitar jamming and incredible vocals made me and my friends stop partying for his set. Local people know what that meams. Ever since that day I tell everyone who is intetested in Hawaiian music talent to see Willie K live. In my opinion Willie K is up there in the ranks with Bradah IZ and Pops Pahinui. It is hard to express in words how exceptional this man is!
And mine was Aloha nights downtown Honolulu 1991. I sang we are the world and hit every persons voice to the absolute Tee
Bless you Willie K. I will always remember Kualoa Ranch when you blew us all away back in 1994 I think it was.... so glad I got to see you two years ago at Rancho Nicasio in Marin to tell you how much I loved that show and your music. The world will miss you terribly. May you make beautiful music wherever you are and be at peace.
RIP WILLIE K! I just read that he passed away today. Just so happens I was practicing this song recently, I went on RUclips to listen to him tonight and found this video. There will never another musician like him. What an amazing Godly talent! ❤️
I regret that I only heard your name because of your passing, and did not hear a chance to hear your music live. This is a beautiful rendition and I hope you live your endless life singing a joyful Hallelujah. Rest in peace Uncle Willie!
Rest in Aloha Uncle Willie. I will always embrace the times we shared. I can't tell you how many times I sat in Hapa's on a Monday night and listened to Uncle Willie K. It is one of the favorite times in my life. Aloha nui loa.
I loved L.C.'s song when it first released. After hearing it covered a million times since, I thought if I never heard it again, great... Oh how wrong I was. It turns out it only really needed to be played and sung once! What a blessing to discover this today. I'll play it a million times more! 💓🌊🤙
Most powerful rendition I've ever heard of this song. I'm loving your most powerful voice. Lucky ... all the folk who get to see you perform and meet you in person. Awesome ukulele playing. [ If ever you come to perform in Australia ... I want to know about it. ]
Rest In peace- I can't count how many times we listened to your music😔💗
