My father, Vic Blake, was ASM at Colac in the late 1940's early 50's. During "Light Duties" due to surgery he was assigned as Guard on the Garrett on the narrow gauge line that ran to Crowes via Beech Forrest, until he was able to resume his ASM duties at Colac. He retired from Victorian Railways as Station Master of Spencer Street around 1974/5.
