Rule #1 of Pantera:
You don't listen to Pantera, you and your neighbors listen to Pantera.
Someone just used the neighbors dumpster, with the music loud. I cranked up the Marshall, with Pantera on the speaker end! They got the message and left
Amen
That's big big big facts
Play it blasting out of your car as you drive around, so ALL of your neighbors get to listen to Pantera.
Everytime
"These dudes look like they just cracked open a six pack at the trailer park." That's the best description of Pantera I've ever heard! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 Great reaction!
that’s a trailer park i wanna live in
If you've ever watched interviews dimebag was said to wake up at 6pm and open a bottle of Jack and start partying
@@treycantrell8590
Was about to add "And a bottle of Jack" for anyone that knew of Pantera beyond just the music.
@@psychobetha yes
Except they grew up in the suburbs here in Texas. Their Dad funded and managed them until they made it. They played local clubs here in the 80s :)
"This is not safe!" This is the best comment ever!
His comments are 😂🙌👏👏👏👏
Omg I take that back....🤣 him telling them to lick it! Bwahahahahaha 😂😂😂
It is gold! I'm like I've been in moshes like this where you gotta watch all around you cos people are climbing up on the lighting trusses n all just diving like 8 feet or so. I've stage dived & it's a big buzz but I was also LESS OLD than I am now but I still will go in a mosh regardless of like cracked ribs n whatnot lol
"What are the doctor's bills like for these shows??"
Freaking gold 🤣❤
It was brilliant
"People jumping off the balcony. It's not safe."
Welcome back to the 1990s.
Shit, welcome to Texas. I've had friends get their asses kicked at a GODDAMN 311 SHOW in Houston...SA is nuts, too. Of course Dallas. Not quite so much Austin. XD

"Don't kick my ass, Pantera" lololol this dude is silly as shit. I like him.
The guitarist Dimebag Darrell (Yes, his name was Dimebag! Have to light one up every time you hear his beautiful guitar riffs) and Vinnie Paul the drummer are brothers. Both have passed on at this point. RIP. Dimebag was shot on stage by a crazed fan and Vinnie Paul died of heart issues.
Started off as Diamond Darrel. Before Phill, during their hair band days.
@@edwardrichard2561 I've got a copy of Vulgar signed by all the band, he signed it Diamond Darrel but that was literally just after Vulgar was released. It changed to Dimebag shortly afterwards.
No.... His name is Darrell Abbot. Dimebag is his Stage/nick name
@@thesparkedbrain ,miss typed "stage"
Damn, my heart still aches for Dime and Vinnie.
Pantera pits were brutal, broken bones were the norm at their gigs. And that last dude didn't do a RVD he did a Jimmy "Superfly"Snuka into the crowd! 😂
Hell Yes He Did
Love the LOA you got!
The last time i got to see Pantera live, at Hara Arena in Dayton Ohio, I was in the pit, about 30 ft from the stage, i ended up with a concussion, it was an amazing show, and my ears still hurt the next day more than my head did!
😂
Although this was RVD's original theme in ECW.
This is the best reactions to this song since Beavis and Butthead...
"Pantera looks like Pantera's dad kicked his ass as a kid"
lmfao
LOL. Yes. "You respect your Step-mother, Pantera!"
@@NashaWriter85 Mow the lawn Pantera! Is daddys little girl crying??
Cemetery Gates... the ending when Dimebag mimics Phils voice with the guitar.. legendary
True story. Cemetery Gates is my favorite. Amazing song.
Rob Van Dam actually used this song as his entrance theme in the ECW days.
I don't know if it was a five-star, but it did look like an attempt at a frog splash!
Yes, me and some friends would debate whether or not his "one of a kind" theme was better, and eventually decided, it was not, but it did suit him, just not as good as this, lol.
I loved hearing the ECW fans chant in unison "RE....SPECT.....WALK"
RVD used the Kilgore cover of this song
@@markrymers7552 - He also used Pantera's version before Kilgore covered it.
Q: "How are these people surviving?"

Pantera - Domination (Official Live Video)

when this song comes on, there's furniture moving around the house
When CFH was released, Pantera was still doing small club shows and lots of them. Got to see them in a little dive called the Backroom in Austin 4 times. The raw power and energy in a small place was so far beyond anything any other band had done previously.
I guess it was the second time I caught them there - Phil was doing his thing. Suddenly he stopped the band and called out a punk skin head “you fuckin’ spit on me again and I’m gonna kick your ass... 1, 2, 3, go”. Back to jamming. Suddenly he throws down his mic, gets on his knees, and starts pounding this guys face. The fans behind the guy shoved him forward so Phil could reach! It was epic. Then security got hold of the guy and finished him off.
Another time, their sound board went down so everyone went to the other side of the bar which was a game room. A George Forman fight was on the big screen. Had the pleasure of sharing the tables and drinking a few pitchers with Phil and some of their roadies.
Saw them in a rock dance hall in San Antonio another time. Place was packed with metal heads. The place had two dance floors that had wooden rails around them and the walls were covered in neon signs. When Pantera erupted, the wooden rails were torn out and passed above the pit and thrown out of the way against the walls. By the time it was over there were no rails or neon signs left in the place. Don’t think that club ever had another metal show.
About that time, they had out grown the small places and were doing arenas and outdoor venues. Saw them at the Starplex in Dallas with White Zombie. Saw them at Southpark Meadows in Austin with Sepultura. I loved the intensity of the small places. That was about the end of my Pantera show days. Arenas just weren’t the same. Thanks for letting me relive those times. I feel so blessed that I was there to see this genre in it’s infancy!
No prob man
I fucking skipped out on a show in Amarillo Tx. Because this chick I was trying to get with just happened to hit me up that night and wanted to party. I invited her to the show but she didn't want to go so I abandoned my mission. I thought that I would have another chance to see them as I was a nomadic traveler and was always in an area where bands often played. I didn't get my chance as they broke up, then Dime was murdered and I was pissed. I had the chance to go hang out at their strip club in Dallas when I was a runner for a Mexican car tell but this trip I ended up picking up an elderly woman and didn't feel right bringing a 75 yr old Hispanic woman who just spent two days in the trunk of a Le Sabre in a hot desert to a strip club. Lol. So the lesson here is.......
Live in the Backroom 1994!!!

The Soviet Union collapsed not long after that, coincidence? I think not! Hahaha
Welcome to Pantera! Groove metal just pops more than other metal to me...and they created it. They are from Dallas and are legends here. I remember going to a Pantera concert at Reunion Arena, the old arena that the Mavs and Stars played in. The Mavs had played earlier that night so the wood floor was still down and they put chairs on top. Really dumb move. Even worse, the Stars were playing the next day so there was ice under the wood. People were throwing chairs and pulling up wood sections to slide around on the ice. Some people were body surfing across the crowd on the boards. It was wild...and the police had to shut it down.
Then when the Stars won the Stanley Cup in 1999, Pantera made a battle song for them. I went to the parade through downtown Dallas after they won the championship and Pantera came through on a float with huge loud speakers playing the song live. They got a bigger reaction than the hockey team...lol.
You know Mr. Video is a real one when he doesn't edit out takes :P

Pantera is from where I'm from and I was lucky enough to party with them back in the 90s. I know first hand how awesome they are...not just on a musical level....the most down to earth souls ever (RIP Dime & Vinnie).

Pantera - I'm Broken!
Former Pantera roadie. Video was filled in Chicago Illinois Aragon Ballroom. Pantera was best ever to get on the stage!!! Best time in my life 1991-2000
I always thought of this song as one about calling out fake ass friends. You know the ones who are nice to your face but talk shit behind your back. Chorus “re-spect. Walk.” Like learns some respect and walk the f*ck away. “Be yourself. By yourself. Stay away from me.” Because I don’t need your fake friendship.
“Run your mouth when I’m not around it’s easy to achieve. You cry to weak friends that sympathize. Can you hear the violins playing your song? Those same friends tell me your every word”
That verse says it all.
Check out Black Label Society-In This River live version
I want to see what you do when you see and hear a face melting guitar solo
Stage diving is a BLAST. I used to do it when I went to shows - the thought of injury was never a thought. Also you NEVER stage dive unless the pit is FULL. A few times some moron tried to stage dive with a few people in the pit and they scattered like roaches so the guy hit the floor spread eagle, yes he had to be carried out. Medical bills - drugs - we were too poor for that kind of shit. Booze and pot were the biggest thing, but more than a few people were like me and didn't drink or do drugs, it was called Straight Edge. Speaking of which - check out Minor Threat's Straight Edge.
Oh and one time stage diving did go bad - I got vaulted off the stage into the crowd, and I had no shirt on and was dripping with sweat. My pals who tried to catch me slipped and my face slipped and scrapped the concrete. The side of my face got torn up - got a big friction scab from it that took over a month to heal. People said it looked sick, but I thought it look kool as fuck. A few times I told people I thought it looked so kool that once it healed up I was going to take a belt sander and do it again.
@@GKinslayer did it leave a wicked scar tho?
@@zeallust8542 sorry to say no, I heal real well.

K. Right on catching up on your videos. I used to love sitting with my friends trying to one up each other with new songs and smoking down. Even if I might not like a song right off if a friend was passionate about it, it was contagious in the best way. Music is the universal medium.
all too often people forget that when pantera was around, they single-handedly made every other band around them look like complete pussies, because they were. pantera had an iron-clad tight rhythm section, not to mention dimebags once-in-a-lifetime guitar innovation, add that on top of phil's no-nonsense vocal writings and you have the most dominant american metal band of all time.
EXACTLY. These guys burst onto the scene in the very early 90s, when most rock / metal bands were still in their glam / hair-metal phase and wearing makeup. They were a shock of pure cold ice to the system. When every other "metal" band that was big at the time was still using AquaNet and wearing guy-liner... well.. yeah...
@@ambermarshall2263 true but don't forget Pantera was glam at 1 point

This guy needs to see some SlipKnot
Used to go to shows like this a LOT in the early 90's, they were just as crazy as you see here (some crazier). It was a great way to release all the frustration and anger that built up over the work week on Friday or Saturday night. Get in the pit and punch total strangers in the face, catch a few fists yourself, but after the song's over you buy each other a beer and all is good. You watched each others back and if it looked like someone was getting too fucked up you help them to a chair somewhere and make sure they're alright. I still go see shows like this but these days I stay off to the side and let somebody else get dirty, it's definitely a young mans game!
Russ W , can you imagine some of the kids now in the time machine for this? Who would step up? I think respect your elders would take on a whole new meaning for them! Ha ha!
One of your best! Thank you Mr V, you entertained me. I laughed tears out of my eyes.

Been to many Pantara concerts back in the day! Yes, people jumping off the second balcony was insane! Dude, you are classic thanks for making me laugh! Great reactions and commentary on all your videos! Everything mentioned on this great band below! RIP DB, VP! One blunt a video WTF!
The drummer for Pantera, Vinnie Paul had a house a couple of miles from me in Arlington, Texas. One day I went to Home Depot, and he parked in front of me. The dude that stepped out of that new Cadillac SUV, looked like he couldn't afford it. But it was Vinnie Paul! We shook hands and talked for a bit about the early days, when I saw them at a club named Saavy's in Ft. Worth. Little did either of us know he would pass away a few days later. I may have one of the last pictures of him. Vinnie Paul Abbott was buried a few days later at Moore Memorial Gardens, next to his brother, "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, who was shot onstage years earlier. Eddie Van Halen attended Dimebag's memorial and Eddie's Yellow & black striped guitar from Van Halen II is buried with him. That's just another reason explaining why Vinnie Paul was wearing a Van Halen necklace the day I met him.
One of your best reactions. I thoroughly enjoyed😁😂😁😂

Even since I moved 2,200 miles from home I dont have friends to listen to music with. I enjoy this gentlemans metal videos. Metal makes everything better. I feel better now.
Pantera concerts are/were some of the most brutal badges of honor you can earn. If you didn't leave with something bruised, strained, dislocated, cracked, or even broken, did you even experience them right? Yeah they're rough, but when you're in there, really in there, you're in there with your new brothers and sisters. Bonded by blood, sweat, and the metal!
