jayvon howard Gene and Paul were completely willing to play with Peter and Ace for the HOF, but they also wanted to play a song with Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer, because they’re equally a part of kiss history too. The HOF said no, and that it could only be one line up so Gene and Paul decided not to perform.
I my opinion, one of the biggest mistakes KISS made as a band was not giving Peter Criss more material to sing. He had/has a great voice that would bode well with most hard rock songs, which would have added a lot more versatility to their overall sound.
James Lopez Rolling Stone agreed when they reviewed Love Gun, saying a huge mistake was being made by “underutilizing the songwriting talents of Peter Criss”. ;)
Oh, and I hope Peter, wait you know what, I would pay to see that. Yeah, if they played double platinum at Metallica speed I would pay 300 us dollars for that ticket! Now I am going to eat some Ben and Jerry's ice cream.

Hmmm, Peter sang less than 1/4th of the songs that Paul sang in his career. So never really "singing" is a good reason to have the same voice in your 70's.Let's also be truthful about it. He is "going out on his own terms" due to little or no demand for him. If he was able to continue to stay employed "on his own terms"....he would continue "on his own terms". He's not in the band he helped to form because he wanted it "on his terms" which wasn't realistic, nor profitable. So while being a "Ace and Peter only" fanboy, at least be truthful.

I love the video where Aces face is in photographs...Ace and Peter used to hang together...THIS VIDEO IS TOUCHING. You can tell Peter has love and kindness for the fans and the memories and the music. He is one cool cat. I saw him perform in '76. Drums rising, firesorks, drum solo to die for. It just feels so sad to me that he's gone out with a whimper in a little club. What a shame the 4 of them couldn't have put their differences aside and said goodbye together on a scale that did them justice (if you overlook the fact they did that already in 00/01).
Yep, well said. It is sad. Paul and Gene have run Kiss into the ground and Paul hasn't been able to sing for a decade. Seeing as the Farewell Tour was anything but, the four of them should have got together one more time while they still had some fuel in the tank and gone out in style instead of another tired tour of Casinos and the Catman saying goodbye without hardly anyone knowing about it.
Beautiful feeling and nostalgia when watching this video... The catman is really a sensitive human being. I don't care about all the butchery Gene and Paul do against him. He is great, and he still is my favorite Kiss original member!
