I got a TSR2 and I love it! When I got fitted, I was swinging it slower (4 MPH) and hitting it further compared to the Sealth 2, Paradym, and new Ping.
This is just a perfect example of the importance of a fitting. All the major manufacturers club offerings are solid options. These days it really comes down to getting fit with the right shaft. Other than that the choice comes down to personal brand, sound and feel preference. Great video Matt, Much love. You can go ahead and send me whichever doesn't make it into your bag. 😜

And generally yes that’s how it works when you do a fitting at those places they charge you a fee if you don’t buy. But every year when the new drivers are coming out, the company (titleist, ping, TM, etc) have fitting events at the golf galaxy or pga superstore. They are completely free even if you don’t buy. That’s why I’ve tried every 2023 driver for free. As to why I haven’t bought any? Both are awesome drivers, it really comes down to a feel/sound when the numbers are that close. This past December I compared TSR2 vs my 2016 M2 with similar counterbalanced shafts and TSR2 and gained only 2 yards (about 1 mph ball speed). Certainly not worth spending $650 on a new driver for just 2 yards. Maybe more forgiving then my 2016 M2 but not making a move, maybe next year.
Dispersion and ball speed retention on miss hits was the best for me with Paradym vs TSR2 and all the other big brands. Got fit for a ventus red shaft.
Great video, You can't go wrong with either one of those Drivers, I just picked up a new cobra LTD-LS Driver With the hazardous smoke RDX black Under $300, I just couldn't think of laying out 600 plus for a Driver When I can get one for half the price That goes just as far !!!, Keep the good content coming
My fitting came down to the TSR2 and the Paradigm as well (both same HZRDUS Black smoke 6.0 shaft). Tough decision but I went with the TSR2, better ball speeds for me, and slightly straighter. My vote is the TSR2.
Exact same club and shaft for me. Completely agree. Plus, this thing qualifies as a work of art for me from every angle (face, top, bottom, from the back).
I wonder how the results would be if you used the same shaft for each head. Since this really boils down to preference, you would have to make that determination based on feel/sound. The only other complication I would consider would be adjustability.
A Psychological consideration. Being that the two are so close, but you like the sound of the Paradym… pick the Paradym. Sounds bring pleasure. Which can bring/build confidence. This could potentially lead to consistency and progression in one’s golf game. Thus making for a better game of golf. Great video. I was fitted yesterday, and saw similar results. Left miss flew higher and longer with the TSR2. Similar distance and ball speed. The Paradym weight set to fade produce nice fade shot for me, but I decided that gain won't help my game as much as the left miss hurts it. Ordered the TSR2 with kuro kage black 50g shaft.
Very cool to see both are essentially the same. I have the older TS2. I liked the feel of the TS2 over the competitors. Smoke shaft broke and had to go with 65 grams for a next day tourney. 5 grams makes a big difference in weight surprisingly. I’m about to upgrade and send the old TS2 to the beach house golf bag to replace my very old RBZ. I’d like to see the stealth in comparison as well.
Titleist is more consistent, I don‘t want a right miss to go further than my usual shot because it might get in trouble and I don‘t want my left miss to be low, because it might roll out further into the woods
I personally got fit into a TSR2. It just does what it’s supposed. The Paradym is a bit more flashy which is neat but it’s not going to hold value compared to the TSR. So for most people brand new, I’d suggest Titleist. For you it’s irrelevant and I’m sure most will vote Callaway.
Paradym for me I just got fit and I can say I have honestly hit more far ways than before and even miss hits are good. But drivers now are so solid it’s close. Keep up the good work can’t wait to see what’s in the bag
Just did a driver fitting. Went with the TSR2. For my specs it worked best. If the performance is identical you have to go with feel/sound of the Callaway.
Had similar when testing recently with the difference being that the Rogue actually outshined the Paradym and made it into the final bracket with TSR2. Went with TSR2 simply because I have been playing Titleist since the TS line came out. The look suits my eye better for one but the biggest deciding factor is that I have a couple of custom fit shafts from previous Titleist drivers that I can test and interchange with the TSR2 without having to retip them with a new adaptor.
I just had a fitting and it came down to the Paradym X and TSr 1. The Titleist was slightly longer with slightly better dispersion. Better smash with the Calloway. Went with the TSr1. The final reason was I had more confidence with the Titleist and felt like I could get after it more with it. Going in I really wanted the Paradym.
Paradym factoring in your preference for sound/feel. Great swing! Im working hard on my swing. Your rice spoon in the glove to the 3/4 position really helped! Thanks!!!
How to pick - whatever looks and feels better, and if you're buying used, whatever is priced best. One benefit the Titleist has that Callaway doesn't is ability to go .75* flat but the Paradym is slightly flatter stock, so there's only a .25* difference. With the flat adapter, Callaway can go flatter for those of us who need it.
I have an early TSR1. I love love love it and I hit it straight so I vote Titleist which means I’m probably wrong. Thanks for so many useful and entertaining videos!
Data in the test is sufficiently similar so difficult to pick. For me it would boil down the the one that provided me with the most confidence of hitting the target, subliminal or not. But you need a vote. So…. A stud like you needs a Titleist! Fun video as always.
I have the rogue st max. Very curious about the paradym. With regards to the review, maybe they are both equally as good. One does not always have to trump the other. It’s good to know that no matter which one you get it will perform well so the buying decision can be based on other factors like preferred brand, looks, sound, feel, shaft options during fitting etc.

Your shaft has a lot to do with the loft and that Ventus red shaft is a much higher launching shaft. These drivers are all so close which is why I say choose the one that fits your eyes and ears the best. Which driver inspires more confidence at address? I personally hit the TSI3 because I love the look, the feel and sound of it even though I hit the Sim2 further. I hate the sound of the carbon face drivers.
Callaway Paradym since you like the sounds better. It will bring more positive thoughts on the course and you will play better. At that point, when equal, then what does make you feel better. That's the one that would go in the bag. Would love to see the comparison with the Vokey and the Jaws wedges.
Can't wait to swing that Paradym. Have a fitting session coming up at my local course. Very excited. Now, for a 40+ handicapper like myself, I need a new driver. Mine is an 15 year old Driver or so from Dick's Sporting Goods and got like 16 extra yards average just by swinging the new Ping around. And it was so straight too. I just need to see if the Paradym can top it and see if I can push 225 on average cause that'd be just amazing. I pushed 220 with the Ping so
I just got fitted for my Paradym X. For me (newer golfer) the difference between clubs was VERY noticable (I was also fitted for PXG 0311, G430, and Stealth 2). I got more distance from PXG but was WAY more accurate with the Paradym. Callaway has my vote! Good luck!
I was just fitted today at TXG. For me it was a close race between the TSR2 and Aerojet, but ultimately went with the TSR2 as it looked prettier. So I'm going to throw my vote for the TSR2, since it's a dead heat... might as well use a subjective tiebreaker.
I hit with both and bought the Titleist TSR3. The Titleist is easier to hit straight and about the same length off the tee. The dispersion was much tighter with the the Titleist. The TSR2 is actually very straight and super easy to hit.
Pretty similar... Looks like you got a few more carry yards with the TSR2. I have the TSR3 and love it! But, In your case with them being both so similar. I think that is when you have to make your decision off of look at address, which looks better to your eye, the sound, feel (weighting) and the feel of the ball coming off the face. I think we are at a point with drivers you almost cant go wrong with anyone. Its is which one looks better, sounds better, and feels better to you.
I tried out the Paradym triple diamond 9 degree lifted down to an 8 degree, a paradym 9 degree at neutral with weight shifted to draw setting, and then the Titleist TSR2 with 9 degree loft. I have Callaway woods hybrids irons and wedges. Thought I was gonna replace my 09 taylormade burner with a paradym, but ultimately I hit the TSR2 about 20 yards further and more consistent shot path. So while my bag and most clubs are Callaway, my beginning (driver) and end (Scotty Cameron putter) are Titleist. I think the Titleist will have a better resale value down the road too. Both destroyed my old 09 Burner. Just the feel of the club, feels like it follows the correct arch/path automatically.
I currently game the PXG 0211 driver. My "old" driver is an Adams Titanium 360 (20 + years old). My Adams driver is actually longer, however, with the PXG and the gear effect, the PXG is more forgiving. My PXG cost me $230...I could get my old Adams used for $50. At my level of golf a $500+ driver makes NO difference in my score. I would rather spend a bit more on wedges than drivers. But that is my findings..
Shaft and loft/lie could adjust either to be even better with how consistent your swing is. Close call. I tried a Motore shaft and it cut the distance down but the dispersion got way tighter. I tend to like that little higher flight because I can plan better on how far it'll roll out. Therefore I would say get the perfect shaft in the titleist.
I would repeat the test. Use the same shaft of choice. I like Ventus core tech but in that range you can go red or blue with a stiff shaft, your choice. If distance and disbursing are still the same go with sound as a tie breaker. Send me the driver you don’t choose, all donations accepted.
Go with the Paradym. While I haven't hit it myself, I have owned and played most of the recent drivers since the original Rogue. Currently play the Epic Max LS and have to say it is the most consistent driver I have ever played. I have tried Taylormade (sim2), titleist TSR2 (not fitted however) and Ping G410. Callaway has stayed in the bag!
Man I am Titleist bias all the way ever since the 975D, rocking the TS3 right now. But I also LOVED the Biggest big Bertha and original warBird. Since both look stellar, I would trust the numbers and go Callaway. Hurts me to type that.
Super close, but I would go with the TSR. The main reason is because the TSR's mishits seem to be more predictable in regards to distance. The paradym's furthest drive was on a mishit fade, and it's left misses are super short, meaning your 2nd shot will likely be more difficult than a miss with the TSR. Also, considering that you naturally draw the ball, why go with the driver that goes furthest when you hit a fade?
Callaway paradym all the way just got fitted for a new driver went in hoping to get a tsr or stealth 2 and left with the paradym triple diamond. It was 15-20 years longer then the stealth 2 and tsr3 and kept me in the fairway more.
Not enough shots to really tell a difference, but when it's this close I'd choose the Titleist. Golf is a game of confidence and what really counts is which club you feel most confident with in your hand when standing over a vital tee shot.
I just bought a TSR2 and I love it, but since your shots were so similar and you said you liked the sound of the Paradym better….that should be your winner
Titleist for sure lower spin is better for carry. I have tried the Callaway drivers they are not for me nor was Titleist drivers till the TSR came out. I had a hard time giving up my PXG gen5 driver. I have the TSR3. My buddy even switched from his PXG to the TSR and that was hard for him to do.
Tested these two along with the Stealth 2. Found the stealth harder to control Found these two very very close. For me it came down to feel and the titliest felt better to me. More feedback and I like the old school titanium noise. Would not have regretted either choice.
I did the demo fit with the Paradym a while back with the kai'li. I tested the TSR2 on trackman with the tensie black and it was great. I ordered a Paradym on the double trade in deal with a hzardous gen4 black. I also hurt my wrist, just got it xrayed and not broken so hopefully will be healing soon. I have the kai'li 60s and the hzardous black 6.0 along with my old IM10 green 6.0 to duke it out. I have very similar numbers to yours at 103-105SS and a 4-5* launch. I don't do great with smooth shafts though. I have 2 shots, a pull and a pull cut basically. My old GBB Epic was a beast but looking for a little more forgiveness and need my misses to be a little better. It's the #1 thing holding me back as a 13 cap is consistency off the tee. My last 3 rounds playing a par 3 course with my kid I'm 3 over par for 27 holes. Need to get that ball out there with a shot inside 180 pretty much and I should be able to get to singles no problem.
I’ve recently been having driver issues so I completely put it away and went irons only. Par 5 wide open fairway? 5 iron off the tee lol. Never touched a wood. Went from shooting in the 90s with driver to 86 first try then 81, then 40 and 39 because I only had time for 9 the last couple. Also I have the same SS as you and maybe similar handicap, idk I shoot low 80s when I’m playing good. This exercise made me realize I hit driver way too often. For example there are 375 yard par 4s with hazards I don’t have to hit driver. Also I recently upgraded from players irons to t200s, so in this example I can hit 5 iron off tee to 8 iron in and swing easy. Another is the 320 yard par 4. Crushing a perfect drive leaves me at a disadvantage, 5 iron is perfect distance. Doglegs where I need to shape a drive over/around trees? I need to take my medicine and poke a 7 iron out there lol. Good luck figuring it out bud
So close it would come down to looks and sound. So I believe you said you liked the Paradym sound however the look of the Titleiest is a factor as well. Can’t go wrong with either but I’m more of a Titleiest fan over Callaway, so I say TSR.
If results generally close, it just make sense on which one you like the most through your eyes...for me it's gonna be TSR2 (match up with the rest of my set)
Paradym - I'm terrible but I love hitting the Triple Diamond driver. It's so much fun. Never could get the Titleist drivers to work. Everything else I have is Ping G425.
Both great clubs, play TSr 3 myself 65 Tensei Blue stiff. Going to have to say what you feel best with. I personally would play a couple rounds on the course with both and go from there. Bias rating TSr.
I had the original Stealth driver hitting 48% of the of the fairways, so I upgraded to the Stealth 2 driver. Now, I hit every fairway, which has lowered my score.. I'd say that whichever driver you feel most comfortable with, then go with that one.
Think you gotta go with the Paradym. Just slightly better. 1 more fairway hit, longer on miss-hit/more forgiving. It's close but add in the adjustability and the Paradym takes it imo.
Just did this review... so excited to see the outcome! lets go!! ---- Just finished the video... So My suggestion @mr shortgame golf would be to create a Poll. I'm in a similar situation with Paradym vs G430 Max. My vote if I'm giving one would be the Paradym. From my testing against these two the Paradym gives a bit more distance and is pretty forgiving, if we are talking about TSR 3 vs Paradym... we are having a different conversation. TSR 2 is a little more accurate than Paradym but Paradym would be overall winner to put in your bag.
Not watched yet, but 1000% TSR2. I have used them all, and TSR blew them all away. When I got fitted Titleist was not even on the table, but I tried it for the hell of it and it is the best by a mile, however, I picked up the TSR3 specifically.
Both are excellent clubs, would it be more beneficial to have the same shaft in both clubs for the testing? I don't know much about the Paradym shaft you used, but the ventus is a winner all the way around. Tough call, I have had both manufacturers, but have played better golf off the tee with the Callaway. The forgiveness is a selling point for alot of people, cause we all know that we don't hit the center every time. Good luck picking one.
Efficiency is better with TSR however club head speed faster with Paradym. The question is if you are getting better club head speed because of the club or just because you were more warmed up. Because if you can get the same club head speed with the TSR and the better efficiency then then go with TSR.
I have always seem to have love hate relationship with callaway drivers. Never really liked them but each time I try one, I seem to hit it great and it always long! Currently playing muzuno but will upgrade this year so it will be intresting to see what come out as the favourite
Call away did such a good job marketing the Paradym. I see it winning just off of that. I personally would choose the Titleist. They have always produced great clubs and they have always been the “business suit” style of golf equipment
Meh, I would choose both. One day I would feel like a Titleist driver then the next day Callaway. There's no need to settle for just one? One day Porsche the next Ferrari...
I’m willing to bet if you put the Ventus Red into the Paradym that you might get a little more distance. The Kai’li is a little softer shaft and adds spin.
both clubs performed equally well when hit well. I would be swayed by the performance with the poorer shots, the pulls to the left, which were significantly worse with the Paradym, indicating that the TSR2 was more forgiving and consistent with off centre hits. The TSR2 would be my choice.
70% of fairways @ 285 total vs 80% of fairways at 280 total. For a bogie golfer, that extra accuracy is worth way more than 5 yards, but you're a plus handicapper, so maybe 5 more yards on average is worth more to you. However, you know how to actually setup and hit a predictable fade, so I would go paradym. I bet you could hit 80-90% of fairways playing a cut.
Both are great clubs, but if it's the fade you like to play, I would lean towards the Paradym because it seems to give you a bit more distance. Maybe you should get some of your old buddies (Coach, Clair, Paris) and show us how your new driver is working out for you! 😎
Even though I'm somewhat biased (I play Callaway woods and a Rogue driver) I think you should definately go with the Paradygm since you like the sound at impact. Mentally, smiling at the sound when you pull off a nice drive cant help but put you in a positive mindset walking towards your next shot.

I pushed 220 with the Ping so
I got myself a paradigm just now. Can’t wait to play it this weekend
I know you're a Titleist gut but I'm voting Callaway Paradym on this one! Would love to see this same comparison with TM Stealth 2 .
I just got fitted for my Paradym X. For me (newer golfer) the difference between clubs was VERY noticable (I was also fitted for PXG 0311, G430, and Stealth 2). I got more distance from PXG but was WAY more accurate with the Paradym. Callaway has my vote! Good luck!
I hit Paradyme and Titleist. Walked away with TSR2. Just looked classier and better. TSR 2 was better in the bay.
My vote is for paradym. Just got one and love how forgiving it is while still maintain the extra distance I am getting compared to my old driver.
I would repeat the test. Use the same shaft of choice. I like Ventus core tech but in that range you can go red or blue with a stiff shaft, your choice. If distance and disbursing are still the same go with sound as a tie breaker. Send me the driver you don’t choose, all donations accepted.
TSR2 for me...plan on buying one in the next or two. Played one at Wailea (old course) and it was gorgeous and forgiving and long. I fell in love.
Given how close the simulator data was, I think you should go with the one that you loved on course, which was the TSR2.
Callaway has stayed in the bag!
ive got a tsi2 and love it but i would go paradigm. love the look and sound
Callaway all day! I really want to go try this club out! I have heard nothing but good things and I love the look of it!
For merhat Titleist TSR 2 is a game changer.Love the feel especially with hazardous shaft.
I just bought a TSR2 and I love it, but since your shots were so similar and you said you liked the sound of the Paradym better….that should be your winner
I've been playing tsr2 for 6 months..( sim in the winter) favorite driver ever..
Have to go for Calaway Paradym more foregiving. But the feel of a driver is important too you must be comfortable. Bothom line it.s your call!
Both are great drivers. As a fitter....I would lean towards the Paradym based on numbers and dispersion.
Callaway for me. Love the new look plus has a tiny bit more spin. Same distance with a little more spin puts you in the fairway more.
I love the video and content!! I had to go with the TSR2 I hit it some much better at 95 mph club head swing
I’d go to the range and test and get some outdoor on course data. Great video.
I had suggested Paradym based upon sound, but I agree go to the range
Go with the paradym and get fitted for a Ventus shaft.
Love my TSR2 with Graphite Design HD6. That shaft makes it a bomber for me. I was a lifelong Cally fan until trying TSR2
I agree with the Callaway "sound'.......never had much luck with drivers that sounded loud, tinny or otherwise..........(big price tag though!)
I would go for the Callaway on performance. Both are excellent drivers but your numbers appears slightly better and more consistent with the Callaway.
I gotta go with Titleist, I love the adjustability it sounds like a driver should and just look at it...thing of beauty.
Tested these two along with the Stealth 2.
Found the stealth harder to control
Found these two very very close.
Since the data is so close, would pick the TSR2. Classic look with the Fujikura shaft and better match for the rest of your clubs.
I would like to see Paradym in your bag. Keep up the great content.
Retest. 20 shots each. Winner must win by 3 fairways. Otherwise go with aesthetics if too close or tied.
Yes, no golfer will choose a club based on ten shots only.
Paradigm
Efficiency is better with TSR however club head speed faster with Paradym. The question is if you are getting better club head speed because of the club or just because you were more warmed up. Because if you can get the same club head speed with the TSR and the better efficiency then then go with TSR.
I have always seem to have love hate relationship with callaway drivers. Never really liked them but each time I try one, I seem to hit it great and it always long!
Currently playing muzuno but will upgrade this year so it will be intresting to see what come out as the favourite
I was between the tsr2 and g430 max. Ended up going home with the tsr2!
Titlist but think more shots are needed, especially outdoors at the range...I'll stay tuned!!
Great video love the way you break it down and provide so much information and are unbiased!!
Almost a toss up, I lean to Callaway, but (and it is TOTALLY personal), you prefer the sound of the Paradym Go with it
Going with Paradym, although I would like to see you get a callaway adapter for that ventus shaft and test it in the callaway it might surprise you!
Call away did such a good job marketing the Paradym. I see it winning just off of that. I personally would choose the Titleist. They have always produced great clubs and they have always been the “business suit” style of golf equipment
Great review, I would go with the TSR2!
I would go with the Paradym, but would try different shafts to get best launch, carry and dispersion.
I would go with the tsr 2.
It seems to me that you are better with the Callaway. However just in case things go sideways on you, keep that TSR around the garage.
Meh, I would choose both. One day I would feel like a Titleist driver then the next day Callaway. There's no need to settle for just one? One day Porsche the next Ferrari...
I have the TSR2 with Auto Flex, have tried to replace it, but nothing has beat it! So I vote TSR2!
I’m willing to bet if you put the Ventus Red into the Paradym that you might get a little more distance. The Kai’li is a little softer shaft and adds spin.
I tgried both at club champion. The titleist was really good, but I liked the Paradym a bit better (hit further), so I went with the Paradym
All things equal and based on the numbers, personal sound appeal, I think Callaway tips the scales, especially on the right missed distance
both clubs performed equally well when hit well.
I would go with the Paradyme. Both are amazing drivers!
Both are great clubs, but if it's the fade you like to play, I would lean towards the Paradym because it seems to give you a bit more distance. Maybe you should get some of your old buddies (Coach, Clair, Paris) and show us how your new driver is working out for you!
😎
Ball spin is much lower with Titleist so that is what works better for me. Plus, it matches all my other clubs!
