Thanks for all the Henry install videos! I just picked up my Big Boy X in .45 Colt today and already mounted my RPP scope base and lever quick takedown screw to start.
I’ve got all my parts lined up for my Big Boy Side Gate before it’s even in my hands! Thanks for keeping up with this series. The quality of the RPP hand guard is phenomenal, and so is the hammer extension. Can’t wait to throw all these bits on and take the rifle for a test drive!
That’s a great looking hammer extension, all the parts you are changing out look great it’s coming up better than I thought it would well done mate cheers Yogi Australia 🇦🇺🤙🤙
A torque wrench, even a budget option, is a must have for working on any firearm. Along with the proper tools the correct information for installation of any aftermarket part is essential. It will save an expensive and painful trip to a gunsmith. Looking at the Henry mods you have from RRP I may have to find an excuse to home another .45-70 in the stable. Great to see the subscriber count climbing. I recall enjoying your videos at the start of the channel. Keep it up mate.
Idk if I'll get hit back on a 3 year old video but what do you think about setting your scope high enough to be able to look under it for your iron sights. My hunting application isn't very scope friendly but I like the option to have one
Having just purchased a Henry X in 30-30, I really enjoy your videos and have learned so much. I have a Vortex Strikefire II and a Redfield Counterstrike and I wonder if either would work as an optic for my Henry?
Beautiful! Love your videos! Super instructive & brilliantly filmed. 1 question I want to get that exact Bradley cheekrest for my Henry Model X 45-70. Is the Kryptek color olive drab?
I love your videos been subscribed for a while now however on this particular one why can’t I just use Weaver rings as I don’t think I want any sort of Pickrell
Is the Bradley cheek rest specific to the Henry model, or should I be looking for something else? I'm on their website; but there is nothing specifically for Henry (sorry I'm a noob with lever actions, been an AR/AK guy for years; but this is my first lever action build). Thanks for the videos in this series. Ive had this handguard for about 5 months; but have been petrified to try the install; but watching your video gave me the confidence and knowledge to go ahead and do it. Great content.

I also just picked up a Big Big X in .45 Colt. I promptly purchased some Underwood +P ammo for hunting. What scope did you go with?
@@blindfromthesunI am running a Burris Fast Fire 3 on it right now, I may get a lpvo later on down the road though.

Awesome! And you’re welcome! Thank you for the support & good luck with your rifle 👍🤠
That is one sweet setup. I want to do the same thing but I’m thinking about a red dot. Great video!!
Holy cow you got a RUclips channel ! Hell yeah followed!
On Henry big boy X 44mag. Using rhino pic - can you still use factory sights since they claim it’s so low?
Sorry I missed that you stated that ! Great info
Love all your videos thanks for all the great information and ideas for builds .
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoy them 👍

Howdy! Thanks so much 👍

Did you come up with a better cheek riser? In the beginning of the video you mention to check back later.

I use a soldering iron to loose up red loctite. Just place it on top of the screw head. Although I use Blue loctite.
Gets the job done
Can you change out the stock on this riffle? held one at a gun show and the pull is too long for me.
Would you recommend blue loctite on the hammer extension?
I’ve not had an issue with mine. You just have to make sure you’re in the correct place and tighten it up really well.
What is the recommend scope rings height?

I don't see why not. Give them a try and see 👍 Thanks for watching!
What size is that Rhino Rail?

Can you see the end of the barrel through your scope on this setup?
Yes I could, but only on the lower powers.
That's a sweet rifle. Gonna have to get myself one.
What height rings did you use?
exactly what Bradley Cheek Rest model is this?
Just make sure you retighten the forearm stock it loosens up bit by bit every round that is fired.
Thank you!

Howdy! Thank you so much! You’ll have to mount some sort of rail, but it could be a Weaver rail for sure 👍
Great video!
What is that buttstock with a cheek riser built in you mentioned?

I'm trying to do the same thing and it's my first lever too! Let me know if you find out
@@cameronbrill5204 Im just gonna call them once I get done with work today. I'll post what they say.
Its the "Bradley Adjustable Kryptek Olive Drab" in the video.
seems like a lot of people might be jacking up their rifles trying to install this. I want one still.
Good,
Too bad you can't get a gun from Henry.
Everyone is out of 30-30 in my area.
Why scopes? Seems like a sickness today. They even put scopes on revolvers now? Scopes make a firearm delicate, this is not what most people want.
This was to compete with Remingtons Dark series and and Henry failed miserably.
What height rings do you use?
I believe these were Badger Medium rings.
