Right on, nothing better then fishing tight lines with your buddy, I've been searching for the HOOK UP with my bro for 40+ years!! Nice toads on the river looks great up in Alaska, thx for sharing 👍🇺🇸🎣🎣
Ninilchik is a cool, sleepy little fishing town. Right in between Homer and Soldotna. Definitely check it out if you’re coming through!😎🐟 thanks for watching!
They are going as far as shutting down some of the personal sett netting (Kasilof) to try and get some Kings to return home. It's looking real slim in any of the rivers for wild Kings, including Soldotna area. Most of the saltwater is shut down North of Homer for King trolling as well.
Those bad boys are sold at Trustworthy hardware in Soldotna. First come, first serve it seems they sell out quick. You’re right about them being several years old now.

oh no doubt! usually we bring them home but in this instance we couldn't be sure if it was under 20in. didn't want to count such a small king against the harvest record. Measuring next time!
I remember when I used to go down here as a kid and catch 10-20 kings out of one hole. I went down this summer after years and there was 50 people fishing it. It’s such a small stream with such a small king run the fact videos like this are made and folks are running guided trips on it is absolute trash.
I grew up in Ninilchik myself. The kings were trashed well before RUclips existed and all locals know that. I’m sorry you’re frustrated with the runs not being what they used to be, so am I.
@@alaskasmallcraftadventures i get it, but showing everything for it and all that stuff. I know your just trying to help people catch fish and all. respect for that. but are kings are going away pretty fast even with hatchery’s. and getting crowded sucks especially on a small local river. 🤷🏼♂️

Cant wait for some Russian and Kenai river sockeye updates. LOVE this channel
Yea, I’m on it! The Russian is packed full already and the ADFG is doubling the limit this Sunday June 18 to 6 per day!
Hoping that this bodes well for the July sockeye run as would love to get that 6 fish limit then. Tight lines Ryan and Vinnie
Great video ! Hope to check out the area sometime!

@@alaskasmallcraftadventures Yes sir, bought land in Nikiski a few years ago, hope to be up there a lot more at some point
05:25 A really fresh king salmon. Interesting to learn that king salmon fishing is open only for a few days a year.
yea the fishery gets hit pretty hard to really allow any more days on it. They are pretty fish though.
Let’s get together and fish for kings always wanted to try that river
It’s a pretty sweet river to fish that’s for sure. Fishing the harbor and mouth area an hour after the high tide is primo!
Right when I was thinking its fishing time, better review the regs, get license and of course youtube it on, your video popped on up!
Always ask the algorithm! Awesome that you’re gettin out there, it’s time! Seriously can’t believe it’s almost solstice..
Try using a centerpin
If you have an extra one I’d be glad to borrow it!
Where did you get those ugly sticks? They’re probably older, if they still sell them

Spot Burning for likes
How does one “burn” a state park public access facility that’s been open for decades? I’ll just have to assume your laughable comment is for likes.
Exactly. Just wants to be a make believe celeb at the expense of fishin spots
