  • It's a pain manually cranking to get the Gramophone to work. One, you have to keep a steady pace to get a steady stream of music. Secondly, it can get manually tiring real quick.
    The solution?
Motorize it! No more getting tired and music playing lousily when you can sit down relax and listen to good music.
Now if we can only improve on the sound quality...
Outside the ToyBox. Unbox, build and play. But not necessarily in that order.
Bring out your inner child and let your imagination run wild.

Update on the update. You can purchase the "electric refitting pack" (that's what the guys at ROKR called it) at their website: www.robotimeonline.com/products/electric-refitting-pack-lkb01m-apply-to-hand-rotating-gramophone

Hi, I just finished building mine and I was hearing that they could be motorized and was interested....so thanks for the great vid and the link to where I could purchase the Motor Kit...Much appreciated! As to the sound quality, I think people are failing to understand that, back in the day, these devices did have very poor sound quality.....ok for the time they were built, but extremely poor by today's standards! But I have been playing some 45's on mine and they sound reasonable. Anyway, thanks again for the info and the link! Cheers, Doons

Hi, glad you got something out of the video. Really appreciate your feedback. Too bad I don't have any 45's lying around. Would have loved to try them out.

Amazing!! I hesitated to buy this gramophone or not, because some of the reviews said it is not playing the music well and the other reason is that it needs to be spun by hand. I just decided to purchase it with your video!!

That's a good idea but I little to no knowledge in fiddling with electronics. But some would argue it would ruin the aesthetic of the piece.😊

Do you have a link to the instruction printout. And also do these kits have the same motor ship with them now…. Or have they changed them.

Hello. The instruction printout was directly emailed to me by ROKR Customer Service (service@robotime.com). You can email them and request for your copy. I believe the kits still have the same motor. You only have to install their Electric Refitting Pack to get the motor running. Where do you get the “extra parts”?

Mine surprisingly came in the box. You can order directly from ROKR via their website:

For some reason when I click the link it says Page Not Found. Can you upload a new link if possible?

I've checked Robotime's page and looks like it's out of stock. Found another store though I don't know if it's reliable. Cosnail: www.cosnail.co/products/electric-refitting-pack-lkb01m-apply-to-hand-rotating-gramophone
You could try a Google search (rokr refitting pack) to find other stores that may have them in stock. Hope this helps.
