Awesome video, I bet it was a fun day! I have been to the Somerset, VA Steam & Gas Pasture Party a few times and enjoyed it. In fact, my channel wallpaper is from there. I have a few old videos from there as well.
Amazing, so glad you came out and enjoyed and you know you can always ask us questions we’re here to educate ! I’ll have to climb the hill for ya next year 😉
Oh wow Nick, words just fail me on this one! "Cool" just doesn't begin to describe those incredible old machines! And a steam roller too! A REAL steam roller, not the diesel powered ones everyone calls a steam roller out of habit. What a thrill seeing one of those! The spark show was incredible, although I couldn't help but think back in the steam railroad days a division superintendant would have had a heart attack if he saw one of his crews doing that! Hey, I've got a suggestion you can pass on to those folks. If track conditions cause a cancellation of the tractor pull contest how about a parallel parking contest? Wouldn't THAT be interesting? 😂 Thanks so much for bringing us along with you! Great video.
The only problem with wood is that is tarnishes everything black and it’s hard to keep that brass all shiny. I did the same thing a while back with my tabletop steam engine, it’s never looked the same since.
In the old days that was the beauty of these machines, as long as you had something to burn in the firebox you had power, and it didn't matter whether it was wood or coal.
Amazing!!!
Really cool stuff 👍 thanks for sharing
Thanks so much for watching! 🚂💨
Those old tractors look like Old Trains with wheels, so cool. Nice show, couldn't see a lot of the pulls, but cool anyway.
Thanks so much for watching! Unfortunately the day time pulls were canceled due to the track conditions so they did a “pull” with the spark show.
Find yourself a friend who owns one, they are very fun to run!
I was able to ride one up the hill. It was a lot of fun. Also shoveled some coal 🚂💨. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching! Definitely had a fantastic full day at the event. I think I need a tractor now 😂
@NixCrossing I would love to get behind the wheel on one of those, they're like land locomotives.

Thank you all for the awesome day! Definitely will look forward to that, that one hill in the back was insane! 🚂💨

I’d love to make it in Windsor when the weather gets better you should make rough and tumble next year it’s in Kinzers they have a bunch of steam
Thanks for watching! Definitely looking forward to that. Everyone said that’s the biggg show of the season.
Awesome video Nick. I remember years ago when a friend of my uncle used to operate one of these great machines!!!
Thanks so much for watching! I’m definitely thinking about getting a smaller engine to run at home
The peeps that own these steam tractors will tell you they run on 100% renewable energy wood.

Good thing every engine in this video is burning coal lol

Had a john deere 345 which when I got home it blow the crank out of the motor.
Thanks for watching! Ahh man, I’m afraid to dabble in the world of tractors. I’ll get too carried away
Pull up to work with one of those.
