That is a great holiday layout but the Grinch display is awesome - and fun!

I'm also from Baltimore. The German "Manger Under the Christmas Tree" scenes eventually morphed into the Train Garden when Lionel came out with electric trains. I still have my father's 1931 Lionel 262 engine and cars. Love that ozone smell. There are a number of model train layouts open this season, and I'll be making the rounds starting soon!

wow, I finally found one at the show at Hamburg (NY) fairgrounds for 20 bucks and it works great, sounds fantastic! You mentioned PRR, Lionel made a PRR whistle tender from the same shell mold as this one, I put it on a train sounds tender and may get one for my railsounds tender too

Hey friend I was raised I prince frederick and I m 73 and ever year my dad would take me Baltimore, Glen Burnie And Rockville to see trains I still have family in Baltimore down on Pratt st I remember Nick’s sub’s and still have my sister still live in prince frederick it’s just about the lady big farmin Calvert co. I left in 69 to join the military and I retired to Knoxville Tn now my son is a Andrews base he has served in Afghanistan ,Iraq , Kuwait he’s a colonel we were just Silver Spring for about two weeks, visiting my son and his two children and wife who had back overseas to Afghanistan and we visited some of the shows there Train shows I mean Nix please say a prayer for my so and all the Military at The Holidays my son and his son, my great grandson love toy trains thanks for mentioning the mall Train and thanks for being one of the best guys that do content. I think you would probably be a person that would just invite guys to your home and the love of Trains some of not very inviting. Merry Christmas to you and Family and please keep up a good job. Jeez Nick, this place has a lot of train layouts. From The one layout with SpongeBob gardening the Christmas tree, too the trains that their running and the skiers going up and down the hill. The Dog park just made my day. Also Brings back a lot of memories from when I saw those ski accessories from I Love Toy Trains 🚂 Very Cool video as always. Thanks for sharing man!

So cool, Nick! Those layouts are really neat. It takes me back to when I was a kid, growing up in the sixties. All of the department stores, here in Toledo and out east in Philly, had big toy departments and holiday train layouts. Wanamaker's was spectacular, as they had the monorail, running around the the toy department and a huge train layout. Today, no Wanamaker's or Gimbel's, in Philly. Wanamaker's was taken over by Macy's, but it isn't the same. Lion and LaSalle's, among others in Toledo, are also gone. Sears always had a great train display, during the holidays. We have one indoor mall left and they do have a decent holiday display, which includes a nice layout. My old modular club still sets-up at the Zoo and in the Manor House, at one of the big estates that became a park, for the holidays. Either way, it is great to see that the tradition is still alive, for the young and the kid inside all of us, to enjoy and remember. Great times, for sure. An excellent video, as always.

Train garden sounds German as in Kindergarten which translates to kinder=child garten=garden I think its the same concept Nick. Great layouts. I love all the layouts you bring us along with.
