A needle gun works great for the Korean glue that is on every layer of a Hyundai. The electric versions are kind of expensive but the cheap air powered ones are all over the place. The colder it is outside the larger the chucks of glue will fall off. Grinding or heat only smears that crap.

I heard dry ice is good for that but I could be wrong. remember some guy using it to remove all the sound deadening material from inside a car.
