I think they are the best bang for the buck.
Looks amazing
Can I add a EDIFIER T15 powered Subwoofer to it ???
I just got me a pair of these for 188€ yesterday. Waiting for the delivery now.
sold about 1200RMB in china
Where did you buy them for that price?
I listen to al lot of blues, (hard) rock, pop, music, mostley flac . I wanna bij these speakers for my bedroom (12m2) to listen some music and to amplify my tv. Do you recommend them ?
A ta2020 based amplifier inside would get rid of the hiss. I don't get why such speakers still have it.
Checked out this speakers yesterday and now am in the dilemma which one to get - this or marshall standmore 2.
Possible to connect a active subwoofer to them?
Можно
Hello boys, i have one, for me very important question. Is it possible to pair this system with a SMART TV Panasonic through a BT or fiber optic cable? Thanks for the reply, Marcel from Czech republic.
Yes you can.
Can we use a dac and a preamp to make the sound much better
dac sure will improve sound quality, but this active speaker built in amp inside. it's no use, using 3rd party amplifier, if you want use amplifier go for passive speaker.
Are these €110 worth more then the r1855db?
Back ground hiss when switched on? That killed it for me.. was interested in them for computer desktop use. Dont want to hear that while being a few feet away :(
Does it have a software like in Razer that doesn´t allow you to listen unless you install the software ? :D
this speaker have standby mode? kinda annoying with this features
You had answer?
@@rogeriomurcila no
Thanks for the video. I will need the remote every time i want to turn the speakers on?
Nope, you can control the speakers with the volume knob.
Da pra conectar o PC nela pelo USB?
What is wrong with just a straight though "flat " replay and not messing with it?
Its good for movies ?
Yes, it's also easily customizable!
those are amazing i just received them... have to comment ! i have the 1700 next to them to comapre the sound but those makes your hairs stands up ( worse the 100 e more)
I also have the rt1700 and considering the s880db.
You feel the s880 are worth upgrade?
I dont really like the r1700 the bass is uncontrolled some times, but this may be due to laptop rca cable. The s880 usb input should be much better
@@brucedeo1981 yes they are best ( i use optical and bluetooth )
@@jackfaciale thanx. Have you tried usb input? Do you feel its better?
@@brucedeo1981 i havent.
ah these or the kanto yu4 ?
I'm wondering exactly the same... did you end up choosing something?
@@antonk5414 yea decided a sub was needed to fill in the low end due to there smaller size so decided to go with the edifire db360
@@alpinab14 Ohhh okay! Great! :) I just got the YU4, my room isn't that big and I had the Edifier 1280 and I think they're similar size, hope it sounds clearer!
S880 or R200db ? what is the best?
2000 gives better bas
How much is it?
Some people are just not that bright
i just bought them looks awesome but i enjoyed listening music much better with my logitech z623.. sad that they died after 10 years.. these speakers feels like so dull. maybe i got used to to a subwoofer.. i dont know
by the way use it on PC mode.. usb mode better?? i will buy a optical sound card. i know its the best mode
Would these be suitable for connecting to a turntable with a built in pre amp. In other words, would vinyl music sound good?
Brian Mentor
No, it will make you go blind
the cheap side panels kill all the design. for that price, they could have sacrificed a tree or two...
Ikr, I expected polished wood but fugly stickered pulp is what arrived in the mail...
@@Spookspek buy the black one
@@Spookspek how is the sound? btw my room is 10 by 10 feet.. would you recommend these? I care little about boomy bass. I like fast bass. TIA
nyquist is laughing in his sleep.mainstream ad for edifier it looks like ........
can you control volume with your smartphone when using bluetooth?
Yes
Yes
@@Itsogaitnas yeah i ended up getting them, downside is the default volume is too loud, especially when you have multiple devices to manage, remote not very good, otherwise really good speakers.
Then there is the S350 db. That has the very same drivers PLUS a subwoofer for the same price...i guess the satellites are the same..check the s350db.
S350db is only hifi with only 20khz frequency response.. this s880db is much superior with sound quality because it is hires certified it has 40khz frequency response double of s350db that is why it is more pricey but it is a bang for a buck bacause s880db is the cheapest hires capable speakers..
You've really swallowed Sony's marketing hook-line-and-sinker. Unless you're a bat, 'Hi-Res' makes about as much sense as HDR video for the average joe.
Well this isn't really a review. Seems like a advert. Hi Res means nothing lol
Hi-res refers to AptX, high resolution bluetooth streaming.
@@Daumex in the context of Bluetooth it does. But not in the case of sound quality
Of course. I watched the video now, he clearly presents Hi-Res audio as a regular feature of the speaker which it clearly isn't.
Hi-Res is a PC term. It's important since these can use USB for sound.
hi dolla
DO NOT BUY THESE SPEAKERS! unless you like having control over Modes, completely dependent on a cheap piece of crap remote. My remote arrived not working, no big deal right? I don't plan to use it anyway, oh wait, you NEED the remote to control modes, a major part of enjoying your speakers. I'm flabbergasted i might have to return these things over a goddamn remote.
Update: Mine don't sound clear enough, even with treble turned all the way up, and bass all the way down, they sound like they have a 'layer' over the clarity. They also have an uncomfortable 'plugging' or 'pressure' sensation on my ears, which I've never experienced before. This sensation is present, even at low volumes, I don't get it from my car, tv, computer, or any other speakers, even at high volumes.
You know you can switch between modes by clicking on the volume knob, right? 🤦
M
No sorry. Would never want speaker that have a built in amp, bluetooth and all that jazz....too much stuff going on in one unit. Keep them separate I say. fair enough to those who like this type of unit, but don't expect anything great. Jack of all trades, master of none.
You should try these.. they're insanely good and i ditched my amp and speakers in favour of them. Welcome to 2018.
@@Jay-Dee No, of course not. For those that want a traditional set-up with separate componentry, that is still an option. And for some percentage of people, that will be better. But it would be a mistake to think that an integrated amplifier (aka active speaker) will necessarily have less sound quality. KEF, for instance, makes a *very* high quality active speaker system.
@@alanlo-557 You're right, but snobs must always sniff at affordable speakers.
ever heard of price?
You honestly wouldn't say that if you owned a pair.
Chinese based company? I don't support Dictatorships if I can help it...
Probably everything you use every day is made in China
apple products, other high end audio speakers & almost all of the things we are using are now all made in china..
