  • All about my new pattern: Swoop Softly! This cardigan is as light as air, and is worked in garter stitch stripes from side to side. Short row wedges on the back give the sweater a gentle A-line silhouette. Techniques include Judy's Magic Cast-on, German short rows, wrap and turn short rows, picking up stitches, and a beautiful modified 3-needle bind-off. I've linked short tutorials for each below.
Come hang out with me as I walk you through this pattern step by step! You can ask me questions in the live chat too! You can send me your questions, too, and I'll answer live. I can't wait to hang out with you all!

If your goal is to hone your knitting skills - especially lace knitting - you've come to the right place! I'm a life-long knitter and crafter, and I've been designing patterns for hand knitters since 2007 under the name Designs by Romi and Rosemary (Romi) Hill. I created this channel to share the experience I've gathered (sometimes in the most difficult way!) with you, and to offer support for my patterns. I often go live here to talk through techniques, charts, and pattern specifics; and to go over knitting basics. I have a series of shorter videos - Teeny Tiny Tutorials - where I show you just the technique, so you can get right back to what you love most: knitting! If you have a question about one of my patterns or a request for a tutorial, let me know, and I will do my best to cover it for you. I want you all to feel empowered, because you are the boss of your knitting! You can find my patterns at www.ravelry.co... and at designsbyromi.... 🧶 Find out more at designsbyromi.com and sign up for my newsletter to get 15% off your first pattern purchase! designsbyromi....

What style of knitting are you doing, please. It took me forever to figure out that there were different styles of knitting I thought it was just all knitting. And that's why I never did it, because there was too much to learn.
Welcome after I had thrown away all of the stuff that I didn't want to do didn't seem fairly natural for me to do as a crochet or I ended up having to (or maybe it was on a whim to as maybe things were dawning on me), look up what style of knitting the Russians do because it turns out my hands -n- mind kinda like the very straightforward approach of Eastern European/ Eastern / Russian knitting!
It kind of looks like that's what you're doing, but since I don't speak Knittin'ese, and don't make sense out of patterns, I'm not sure what you are doin'. I'm wondering if you're doing what is called Combination Knitting.

A question- in section A4, Row 15, after the end of the row, (k1tbl) we are still in the middle of the work. Do we turn the work here? Or does row 16 continue on with the next stitch in the original direction? It seems as if we need to turn back if we are going to continue with C2 in the next section.
