  • Do you enjoy shunting videos or just want help getting off to sleep? This video may just be the thing to send you off to the land of nod……
The 09.30 ex Buckfastleigh hauled by Prairie tank 4555 arrives at Bishop’s Bridge Loop and needs to be shunted to form the return working to Buckfastleigh at 10.06.
All that is really required is to move the brake van from one end of the train to the other and then set the re-formed train back into Staverton Station ready for departure. It is quite surprising how many moves need to be made to enable this to happen.
With a brief pause to allow the 09.45 ex Buckfastleigh auto train to pass and several shunting moves later the train is reversed into Staverton yard and departs on time. Filmed 29th April 2022.
