Wes is such an amazing guitarist. All my fav guitarists are not super complex. Just because you can make it complex doesn’t mean you should. The hotdog riff 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This song is more proof that less is more and can still sound amazing and break the mold or what you are told you should do (in terms of theory). Ideally as a musician you want to make a song or riff easier to play yet sound amazing sonically to the ear, sometimes difficulty is hard to get around but if you can make it easy to play and sound great - hats off to you. This coming from a player as well.
Its easy if you understand like the D major scale. that's just D E F# G A B C# ... D# major is almost the same but the main difference is that everything is just raised up by a half step D# E# (F##) G# A# B# (C##) if you sharpen the forth degree (G#) -> (G##) it becomes that lydian mode.
Do breaking Benjamin or Chevelle next! Also the Black Sabbath song you’re thinking of towards the end of the video is Black Sabbath from their first album, it’s the opening track. It’s a tri tone on the the G
Rick Beato just used F double # in one of his videos. Technically it’s a G but there was already an F and a G in the chord. Each letter, one flat or one sharp though. #Theory
Them contacts hurt at all? Can U see propley? I used them white ones once there made it kinda foggy and Burry my vision if I left in to long they started to sting
Hey, thanks a lot for all your valuable content! Do you happen to know if I need to get the regular daemonum pickups for the Jim root Tele or the f-spaced version?
Yo, what's going on with your eyes? Is that an edit or contacts? You look like a demon, maybe you've ascended (or descended) to the next level of shredding 😅 Rock on, bro
Wes Borland has stated in a interview that he doesn’t know music theory at all which is interesting to think about since he can do all these crazy and awesome stuff on his guitar. Lol
In all fairness, his riffs are extremely simple and like he said, it's neither major nor minor because he usually uses power chords and pentatonic shapes. Now, his riffs are FUCKING awesome, but they are extremely simple to play and write. Pick up a guitar with distortion, and you could use like three shapes to write tons of cool sounding riffs!
i find it interesting how you find it interesting on how you beleive that there are only 3 notes of deviation on guitar which actually makes the song a hit... yet, here i am talking about it. so are you trolling? or do you believe this? lol
Disappointed you didnt pull out the 7 string for this one his main 7 string tuning was C#, F#, B, E, G#, C#, C# Very different from normal 7 string tunings and I just love how Wes experimented with his 7 strings like that
Thanks Ray. People hate Bizkit but Wes Borland is awesome.
agreed wes borland is amazing player
The whole band is tight as hell!

I've been listening to these guys lately again. Great video man! Would love to see another limp bizkit song vid.
Will do! Thanks Tony!
Using this for my song analysis for this song! Thank you so much
Nu Metal chugs are always catchy
Trueeeee
First time seeing the channel ... your explanations are very thorough ...Im def subscribing.
hey thanks so much!
The vocal melody line can give you some idea too
Happy to say I understood this video. Your lessons are working!
That’s legit the nicest thing you can say! Thanks brother!
Limo bizkit is no way my favorite in terms of vocals and lyrics but man does the rhythm kick.

Ray as a friend of your channel I wanted to ask "how are you doing?" .... How is your sobriety? Any update to your recovery from your surgery?
What a beautiful guitar. Awesome video. Have a good weekend.

Keeping in the numetal vein...how's about Spit by Kittie? That's another super simple song with only a few riffs
Oh great suggestion!!!
Rick Beato just used F double # in one of his videos. Technically it’s a G but there was already an F and a G in the chord. Each letter, one flat or one sharp though. #Theory
Boom nailed it! Sharpening a sharp is the same pitch as one step up, but you still have to call it the original letter name. Theory is wild man haha
Stay Metal Ray - Theory is wild. Lol I’ll figure it out one of these days! 🤘😬
*Fred Durst is a modern Beethoven*
Wes got the riff from listening to Nirvana's song Big Cheese
The Ramones music was very simple as well
ngl first vid of Xanders ive watched, and the eyes surprised me😂
have you ever heard of the locrian mode? also the first chord has a lil trick it is not basically a power chord.
10:14 ...sometimes you just "break stuff" like theory? 😅
Ayeeeeee
Them contacts hurt at all? Can U see propley? I used them white ones once there made it kinda foggy and Burry my vision if I left in to long they started to sting
Do you have contacts in bruh that is so fire
Hey, thanks a lot for all your valuable content! Do you happen to know if I need to get the regular daemonum pickups for the Jim root Tele or the f-spaced version?
F spaced. F stands for fender. Hope this helps!
@@xanderraymondcharles great, thanks! Just wondered because EMG mentions f for Floyd rose but the Tele has a fixed bridge 🤔
Well Floyd’s have the same spacings as fender. This stuff is so confusing haha
well, it's got that flatted fifth, and the minor 7th in the C#, wouldn't it put it in the Blues scale?
Yo, what's going on with your eyes? Is that an edit or contacts? You look like a demon, maybe you've ascended (or descended) to the next level of shredding 😅 Rock on, bro
Litteraly any MUSHROOMHEAD Song please!
Not a huge fan of limp bizkit vocally, but the instrumental is great. Some great riffs.
Second note doesn’t sound quite right… is there something Wes does differently to get a slightly different sound?

Isn’t this guy the lead singer from Of the Sic?
its just one of those days...
I appreciate the contact lenses. wiki wiki Limp Bizkit.
You should try breaking down devildrivers new one "vengeance is clear"
Borland is so underrated.
I can't wait to watch he'll yeah. 👍🤘🎸 lol TroyFrost/Troyster 😎 cool riffs cool 🎸🤘🤘🤘
Great video. So positive! You've got a new subscriber. Would love to have an analysis of Avenged Sevenfold's Chapter Four.
Your eyes are so beautiful!
Do eyeless 😘
😏😏
🤭🤭🤭
What the hell is up with his eyes?
Is it just me or does everyone miss the hammer on nuance??
Your face looks like a Guy Fawkes mask
My friends hated that i liked this song lol
They should hate you.
Limp Bizkit uses proper theory?!?!?
i find it interesting how you find it interesting on how you beleive that there are only 3 notes of deviation on guitar which actually makes the song a hit... yet, here i am talking about it. so are you trolling? or do you believe this? lol

this is a fucking joke right, lol
