I like this because it buys into the idea that if you cant find anyone, you are probably unwell mentally, but without having to take responsibility for the ramifications. We're all determinists until the ramifications start to bite us, afterall. As someone who "gets women" its the optimal approach

Apparently the Thai woman he married was already married to two other men, and was getting money from them all (including Lake when he married her) and she stayed in Thailand, he went back to England
