i expect they have tried, but despite their control of their own public image they are not all that highly respected amongst the media conglomerates of the world and i think Louis' integrity keeps him to the more unbiased media sources. I think part of what makes Louis so trustworthy is the man is not scared to ask questions that lead to larger things while also staying respectful of the people. It is a disarming quality that not many presenters have but Louis does a really incredible job of it. I remember watching Weird Weekends long ago and seeing him doing that and it has helped me a lot in daily life when asking questions.
Its crazy how Theroux went from weird weekends to delving into the darkest corners of society. Shows how versatile and mentally strong he is as a journalist. His investigations always intruige me, im always glued to the screen. Louis theroux really is an amazing and skilled reporter, asking the questions which invoke the best and rawest responses from whoever he speaks to.
The way Louis spoke into the mic, he really does have a comforting and soothing voice. Perhaps he should do spoken ASMR, I bet if this was to happen he would have a well viewed channel.

I love it how Louis Theroux uses “tidying a garage” as his metaphor for escaping human contact, which is sooo grounded it could’ve very plausibly been literal. Most people generally use quite abstract metaphors before saying “not literally” - which is Louis’ sort’ve candid charm in a nutshell (but not a literal nutshell).
I truly desire more content from him, I really miss his documentaries. Hopefully he can find the time to do a comeback, myself and many others would appreciate it so much. 🙏
Louis is easily one of my favorite documentary film makers. I can't get enough of his content and thoroughly enjoyed his podcast with Joe Rogan. Thanks for all that you do Louis! Keep up the great work! 🙌
He also treats his subjects with a respect that's deeply rooted in humanist principles. He always treads carefully into sensitive topics and usually has a lot of "back up plans" in case the interview goes nowhere. If you look at his old interviews vs his new ones, you realize that he has worked on his craft a lot.
