- I took on the almost impossible challenge of attending FOUR football matches in one day!
Situated around Edinburgh in Scotland, I visited four non league grounds to see the following games:
- Dunbar United v Coldstream
- Haddington Athletic v Dundonald Bluebell
- Tranent Juniors v Bo'ness United
- Musselburgh Athletic v Broxburn Athletic
Would you ever try this incredible groundhopping challenge???
#football #scotland #soccer
Would you ever try this groundhopping challenge???
Yup 👍
I would just give a try,good friend Sam!!!🏋♂️
That man that was selling the bage he said his favourite game to go to was camelon juniors hes right on what hes saying because there so much history about our town u should go
I saw two games in one day in Portugal. I saw Benfica and then rushed over to see Estrahil vs Vitoria in Caiscai. Was awesome cause I sat with away fans.
No I'd be to tried
Great video. I have nothing but admiration for people from down south, who come up to support Scottish non league football. Forget the big clubs this is what football is all about.
Your the legend Sam. What you do for Scottish football is commendable.
Completely agree, such a positive approach...
100%
In 2008 I went over to USA to referee in a tournament over 2 weekend , on Friday 2 games ,Saturday 4 games and Sunday 3games. I did a local derby in which me and the linesmen had armed police officers in case things kicked off ..👍
Absolutely amazing seeing my hometown team Johnstone Burgh’s pennant on the wall my Grandfather was the club secretary back in the 60’s when they won the junior cup twice thanks again for the amazing work you do to promote the game in Scotland 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Why don't you support them? Not being a dick genuinely asking
Respect to you for attending all four of the respective matches and long live to you daily and ever in this world and other planets, good friend Sam!!!🏋♂️
Thanks Depek!!!
@@FootyAdventures You are welcome,good friend!!!🏋♂️
@@FootyAdventures can you visit Rothes FC sometime soon? It's a great club to go to
Absolutely monster effort getting to 4 games in one day, and very well timed with Non League Day this Saturday (25th March). It's great to see high attendances at Non League, and to learn more about these Non League clubs. Superb content as always!
My Pal was at that Broxburn game, you should do a video at Albyn Park some time
Went there a few weeks ago mate. Check it out here!
I watched NON LEAGUE FOOTBALL then LEFT THE COUNTRY...

Well, I've watched many videos on this channel, but this one was really special. Some others have come close, but this was a great documentary on not only the non-league football in the communities, but also people's general outlooks and manners. Brilliant! I'm sure that very few people knew that there was a group of folk (especially from England and Wales) taking in a bunch of lower-level Scottish matches (I certainly didn't). And got to love the dogs at the matches! This was just super.
Great to see all the youngsters supporting their local clubs.👏🎉😀
Well done Sam you are doing amazing on RUclips been a subscriber for a couple of years now and like and watch every video i can to support the channel and there’s some days you always learn something new keep up the good work 👏👏
Thanks Ewan, hope all is well mate! Appreciate the support still :)
Love your content Sam, I really enjoy the non league element as most of us will never get the chance to see these grounds and people involved. Keep up the good work. Leeds fan.
It's so cool that they schedule the games so tourists can visit once a year! I need to remind this and do it myself someday. Greetings from germany to everyone!
Fabulous vid, Sam. So very enjoyable to watch.
Great job in capturing the essence of the day, Sam! Some dedication too - we were knackered on Sunday, and this must have taken hours to put together. Don't think I predicted any of the results on the day - that's why we love football
7:05 good on you going for the Buckie Thistle badge 🙂 they are doing really well this season and the last game of the season against Brechin City looks like it could end up being a title decider for the Highland League. Noticed Keith and Forres Mechanics in among the badges too
Brilliant video - really superb. Possibly your finest yet. Loved all 40 minutes.
There’s a tv show on the bbc that followed a bus load of English people that go to loads of games in a day. They even went to a game in glenrothes
Love seeing all the badges. My dad done the 92 club and he loves getting all the pins. Whole youth was going up and down the country going to grounds love it. You gone a step further well done.
Sam , I don’t know how u do it!!
Just discovered the channel, and loving the content. What a great adventure this was - the atmosphere at the stadiums looked great, and I'd love to do something like this
This is by far the best video that you have uploaded, 4 grounds and games in one video is class. Wish I had known about this as its something I would have loved to have done!
It comes round every year mate and I also believe they do them in other areas of the country more regularly too.
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed!! 🙌🏼
Can't believe you missed the Dundonald Bluebell pin badge 'Mon the Bell' Great memories of climbing the back fence to sneak in tae see The Bell. 😁
brilliant !! My husband comes from Haddington so knows about East Of Scotland football - Dunbar is nice too.... hope you achieve your mission !!
Great video Sam....your video always my go to when having my coffee at 7 👍👍👍🏴
If I could drive I'd love to do this! Are you planning a trip to Friday night football in dingwall in a few weeks?
Wicked day out! Loved the video and the Barca Lego looks sweet! Keep on keeping bro ⚽️
Hey Sam! Found your channel a few months ago, loving the video. Have you been to any highland league games? If you haven’t, I highly recommend you do (even if it can be a trek from the central belt)
Fabulous effort. Great to see all these grounds again; I worked around East Lothian many years ago and saw all of these grounds from the outside, but never saw a game in them. Love seeing your non-league vids.
The Courier is going to be a sad read this week - not a great weekend resultswise for East Lothian.
Congrats in getting this out so quickly - and after Meggetland.
Haddington is the county town. Definitely NOT a village
Amazing. I love this video.
Some effort. Thought about it but didn't think I'd manage them all. Brilliant that you did it. Fantastic Sam
hello man,I just want to recommend you to visit greek derbies this period. Greek league is on fire this season and every week there is at least one derby. It would be an amazing experience for u
Went to Musselburgh v Haddington a few days later and there was a good crowd in then too, about 460 I heard. Local interest is high all over the county.
Love the videos been a fan for over a year now love from The Netherlands FC Utrecht fan (we are in tough times now:( )
Thanks mate, I'll have to come back and visit Utrecht again soon
Always look out for Utrecht results after meeting a Utrecht fan on holiday in Austria circa 1992 👍
What a day!! You must be knackered today Sam….Love the videos…. Keep ‘em coming 👍
Great vid Sam. Really enjoy following your ground visits.
Didn't think I'd ever be at the same non-league game as you (Musselburgh) and not notice you were there. Just shows how busy it was.
Pleasure to meet you on Saturday Sam. I was the Sunderland supporting ground hopper you say you had just been talking to on 16 mins in the video. As I said to you on Saturday, I really enjoy your content, keep it up.
Great video and a long day for all the groundhoppers.
They did the North West Counties League a few weeks ago where they did the same thing over a whole weekend which was good. I knew they were doing Scotland next so as soon as I saw your caption, I knew it was relating to this!
I was just along from the ultras at Tranent yesterday, let me know when orvif you will be attending a Bo'ness Utd home game next season, we gave only 1 home league game left this season v Caley Braves on 15/4,which is also our player of the year awards day
Home to Spartans in the cup as well, unless the give us a bye to focus on playoffs
@@finlaygodfrey8222 yeah I know, I didn't mention that game for that reason
@@finlaygodfrey8222 having seen Trament yesterday, although they're a goid side, I fancy Spartans for the league
@@superhenrymac got to agree, although wasn’t particularly impressed with Spartans when we played them at home
@@finlaygodfrey8222 I was impressed by Spartans when they played us at Bo'ness
You are a complete lunatic. But of course only in a good way. 4 football matches in a day? I'm also crazy about football, but I don't even watch 4 matches a day on TV. I have to gradually alternate that with ice hockey or something from WWE. So you have my admiration.
Hiya Sam, did you notice lado with the Club badges had Kelty Hearts (badge) in the none league section, there in league 2 now, I went to Carlisle Versus Stevenage on Saturday, it wasn't the worse 0-0 draw, on good Friday Carlisle are at home to Tranmere, tickets are only £10, instead of £21, this is Choppy in Whitehaven, Cumbria, England
Two trains Dunbar. Great ground.
..had to laugh when you've picked that Auchinleck Talbot badge.. a club I've started to like through your videos! I've actually subscribed the the Talbot channel and watch every highlights now.. Thank you so much for showing that awesome club to the world including myself 👍🏻 I love your videos! Greetings from 🇩🇪
Amazing mate! You’ll have to come over and see Talbot play! Danke 📽🙌🏼
@@FootyAdventures Definitely on my bucket list 👍🏻
"I'VE LOST WHERE I CAME OUT OF THE HEDGE" - Made me laugh.
Excellent video again. Thanks for the journey. 😊
Thanks for the Hatrick of appearances on this video. So glad to have finally met you, also glad you enjoyed the day can’t wait for next years!
Love the show Sam good work mate
Hey Sam
I missed you at Tranent, as I was doing my announcement duties at the top entrance.
Amazing video as ever sir.
Hope to catch u at a game for a chat before the end of the season..
25th March is non league day in England.
Will you be attending any games ?
I know how difficult this was to edit, well done 👏
Another brilliant vlog Sam. Keep up the great work mate.
Top man !! Some "proper" groundhopping there, actually getting inside the stadiums AND seeing a game at each ground ! 😉Much respect to you for getting through that day - and filming it all too, along with the interviews ... phew ! I can't remember even seeing TWO games in one day (unless one was on the telly ...lol) but hope to get to Finals Day at Wembley Stadium on 21st May, the day after my birthday. You should look into that if it's possible ... FA Vase Final first then FA Trophy Final second. ... PS: I watched a match with Paul of Groundtastic at Lancing in Sussex , we have a couple of mutual friends in football, via my days at Billericay Town where the other editor and founder of themagazine, Vince, was on the same supporters committee as me ... about 40 years ago !!
Quality as usual 🙏
tonights bedtime viewing sorted ! haha nice one fella :) loving the content ! you should setup a patreon or some way we can throw
a few pennies over to cover the costs of your european trips :)
Thanks mate! Appreciate the support. You can always press the “join” button next to the “subscribe” button. It’s basically YT’s version of patreon. No pressure at all though, just appreciate you watching 🙌🏼🙌🏼
@@FootyAdventures Didn't see that mate ! will defo hit that button :)
Top vlog Sam. Really enjoyed this. Must be goosed after all that!
Legendary video Sammy. The pure dedication.
Most I've done was 3 different leagues in three different countries on 3 consecutive days. Drogheda United vs Bohemians on a Friday in League of Ireland, Nottingham Forest vs Birmingham in Championship on Saturday and Leicester vs Crystal Palace on Sunday in Premiership.
Also, my favorite part of this video is either the hedge-hole or the very good dog.
That dog loved you Sam.
Never done a groundhop but at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in 2014 i did a unique double header of going to the start and finish of the Men's and Women's Marathon in Glasgow Green before heading back to the hotel for a quick freshen up then went to the finals of the Rugby Sevens at Ibrox
Superb effort mate! Was a long day but something I’m already looking forward to doing next year!
Wouldn’t mind doing this in another country. Wales/England version could be good…
@@FootyAdventures love to do a Welsh one or Scottish Highlands mixing up the Highland League and North Caledonian league would be unreal!
Nice One SAM Well Done 👍... FROM SCOTLAND 🏴.
As ever, great video Sam. Hopefully catch up again on our travels around the grounds.
Great vlog as always, would love to see a vlog from Gibraltar, my place of birth so any league game would be awesome
I’ve always wanted to go to Gibraltar 🇬🇮
@@FootyAdventures something to think about, when you next decide to go abroad 👍👍
How do, Sam? Are you going to manage getting to the Tranent vs Forfar Scottish Cup tie on the 25th November (this month)?
The insanity of this is beautiful. What a g
Respect the grind
Cheers Austin!
He’s a big fan of you
Lovely to see Haddington's ground. I attended Knox Academy right behind the ground in the 80's
Think on some Easter Mondays, there's an opportunity for people here in the NW (in and around Manchester) to do 4 games in same day. Know lads who did 3 (3 different sports) in same day. Bury V Wigan (Gigg Lane), Wigan Warriors v Leeds(?) RL Grand final at Old Trafford and England V Uruguay (RU World Cup - Etihad)
Amazing man, i now know Scotland a lot because of your videos, you take me from my South African house to Scotland with these videos
Thogden did it and at a World Cup too!
Ano you've got 150k but your still so underatted
The true goat of scottish football 💙
Nice Forest badge in the right hand tray of the English salesman
Great video
Brilliant! Great idea. If anyone could do four games you could.
Dedication to the cause.
The supercup NI youth tournament over here allows you to do something similar. First games in the morning, last game at night.
I'll have to check that out!
How about a trip back to the glorious north east...........to watch the mighy South Shields FC, who currently play in Step 7......soon to be Step 6 with crowds around the 2000 mark most weeks
Busy day my brother 💙👍🏻⚽
If you get yourself down to the Oxfordshire area over Easter, you can do 11 groundhops in the Hellenic League over four days!
Told you it would be good lol good catching up with you past couple of days
Shout out to Pedro Caixinha for help where the hedge is. 😂
You should try hospitality at non league teams to compare against bigger teams 👌 also maybe try sponsor a player or ball sponsor for a game some time!
What league don't have linesman. ?
that one
@@paulguise698 🤣🤣🤣
Great video Sam. Herculean effort to watch 4 games in a day. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Came for the footie, stay for the accents👌🏻
Sam, you should visit Rothes FC
Hahaha love the Tranent lads
1:48 I don’t need to head that way. I’m already in Norway. I love your videos
You are lucky. It's one of my favourite countries!
Great video as always. Should come along to Old Sheilfield to see Tweedmouth Rangers play.
love the trains 🚂
I was at that Dunbar game shame I didn’t see you tho keep the work up tho great video
For 4 Games 40 Minutes For the video isnt that bad . Well done ❤
Get yourself along to a Tayport FC game mate
I'd love for you to return to Ireland for a league of Ireland game
Just going to watch the video Sam, though the thumbnail pic am surprised hasn't been commented on lol very similar to some other videos people might watch but maybe not on RUclips lol think those ones might breach their terms and conditions lol
Get yourself down to Creetown!
Was going to attend all 4 aswell but with car troubles and other stuff happening only managed to attend Musselbrough match. Hopefully this gets done in the West aswell at some point
That was fantastic! As someone who lives about 18,000 km from Scotland, it's so cool to see all the different grounds and hear a bit about the teams since it is pretty different from the football we have over here. I'll make it over there someday! Cheers for another great video :D
With all the grounds you visited have you collected a momento scarf or beanie from those teams
