I don’t think I’ll ever like this grill, but this is definitely the most fitting version I’ve seen with it. Looks strange with license plate position still, wish it didn’t have to be there. I don’t know how I feel about the red accents, I’m indifferent to it, similar to how the Nismo GTR R35 does. Overall, for this grill, it’s pretty clean, and probably drives amazing.
Among the german trio, BMW have the highest degree in heritage and more cars deep in enthusiasts culture. That's just facts, hope we get more of them at least alongside the boats they are building too for the market.

And in now way shape or form does the M3/M4 "kill" the E63S, are you serious. Just by the sound alone. The CSL in the video literally sounds like a vacuum cleaner. E63S would crush them, its leagues above the C63, an M550 got left in a dust one day and after the driver pulled up to me he was bewildered and asked why his twin turbo V8 couldn't keep up and what kind of car it was. I've owned an E63S and I own an M5 now, so i have a point of reference. From the people who never owned an E63S they truly don't know what kind of car it is, BMW fanboys think its just a slightly tuned E class, like some E400 with an amg trim package lol.
Too big, too ugly, too heavy, crappy sound, it could have 700 horsepower and I wouldn’t buy it. No different to an m4 in reality. Same engine, just tuned. Sure they’ll be enough mugs to buy it. BMW have lost the plot. Needs at least another 200 kg dropping off it.

-240 lbs, +40hp, carbon bits look great, super sick car. And the bigger grilles have really grown on me, def dont love them yet but I def dont hate them anymore. And faster on Nurburgring than the standard Aventador, Pagani Zonda F, and Ferrari 488 GT, pretty crazy.
I like what BMW did to the M3 and M4 they were designed to be different so is the CSL? They are perfect for me. I like loving them. They look even better in person or in car😊

Honestly this doesn't do it for me. DOn't think it sounds much different than the standard M3/M4 and I think the M3 looks MUCH better & works more!! I really think the M4 of last gen was WAY better looking - this just doesn't have the body lines.
Finally the front end looks acceptable. Tough I find the GT3 class racecar inspired front end from Vorsteiner better looking. Sad to see that this interior will be phased out. Looks great and easy to use. Hate the idrive 8 looks and usability.
Only 100 coming the UK kinda spoils it for me, as I would like to buy one, but these limited models, are a joke to get. I imagine they will be flipped for up to 50k over. They should let all those that would like to buy one buy one, how about that for a business model.
M4 CSL looks awesome but e46 M3 CSL I had I like it better. That engine with a huge airbox sounds so nice. It was like a racing car. Just that engine alone I like it better than M4 CSL even it's faster than M3 CSL. M3 CSL sounds way better. That sucking air into the airbox sounds like DTM car.
Ugly yellow lights. The standard OEM Comp lights look better. Not impressed. Horrible color palatte of what 3 colors? Ugly red tape on front grill. Mustang looking graphics. Not impressed. Overpriced! Not selling my 22 M4 Comp xDrive for this..
Sorry to be negative, but …What’s the point? Tarted up. Only 1000 made. Vaporware. Do this to the actual car, for a real world price. As a reminder to BMW, there are almost 8 billion people on this planet. Limited runs of 1000 means these cars always end up in the garages of über wealthy collectors.
You mentioned that they've gone and done something different, they have not. Literally every single detail you mentioned was done on the E46CSL AND MORE. The E46 pioneered the CF roof and lighter bootlid. It had a complete lightened exhaust, header, sec 1, 2 and 3. Lightened bucket seats that tiled forward. Rear seats that were lighter. Carbon fibre door panels and CF center console. Lighter cabin air filter housing. Ligher rear window, etc. The car was a revelation and the ONLY time BMW ever touched and soundly beat the Porsche GT3 by 5 seconds on the ring, it was only beat by the 996.2 GT3 RS driven by Herr Walter Rohl. It was 1385kg some 110kg lighter than the standard car. BMW could have gone further here. CF door panels, CF intakes for the air boxes ala E46, the windows etc. What no one is mentioning is the rear bulkhead. Is it screwed in or welded in? This is a mega option. It increases the diagonal torsional rigidity of the car, which the E46 never got. Some estimates for the E46 getting a similar piece show an increase of up to 20% increase in total chassis stiffness, which is WILD. Great video btw. I dont love the car, or the styling and I never will. However this version is the ... "correct" version if that makes sense. There are people way more qualified than me on design that have completely ripped this to shreds. So I won't beat a dead horse. Im happy its around 100kg lighter, that was my ideal target for the car. They could have definitely gone for more and I do wish they did, however they kept inline with the E46 tradition at least. It is as well as the E46, the fastest current BMW and for that I'm thankful too. However, it should be much closer to the GT3 like the E46 was.
I suppose it will be “wonderful” but it still looks like the ugly lower versions with that front and a set of stick on stripes. Yes it will do 0-60 before I get in it and yes it will stun the Nurburgring but it is yet another overfast BMW that has little relevance to the current World..give it a dull flat paint job and it just looks awful. 😨😨

The 6-cylinder in the in the M3 CSL didn't sound very nice imho. Not bad but nothing special like the S65. Very metallic and thin sound.
