Are we all forgetting that Max Verstappen had not lapped 2 of the 5 cars in the race, just before Latifi's crash? Just to show you what a £uk up Michael Masi and the Stewards corrupt decision was, let me put a few things straight, that a lot of people would have missed. Many people believe that the 5 cars between Lewis and Max, on the final lap, had all been lapped by both drivers, and that it was Max's pit stop that had put all 5 into this position. This is incorrect. At the time of Latifi's crash, Lewis was leading with 2 cars in-between him and Max. Lewis had lapped these 2 cars. Max had not. The 2 cars were still live on track and racing their own races. Latifi crashes and Max dives into the Redbull pit to change tires. This puts him even further behind these 2 cars, and also allows 3 more cars, which he had lapped, back pass himself. That is now 5 cars in total in front of Max, but behind Lewis, 3 Max had lapped and the 2 at the front, he had not lapped. Now I want to reiterate that Max had not lapped these 2 cars, Michael Masi understood that Redbull had pitted, deliberately putting themselves further behind these 2 cars and thus he should have forfeited their right to have these cars moved out the way. ANY COMMON SENSE WENT OUT THE WINDOW FOR MICHAEL MASI'S NETFLIX MOVIE ENDING. Behind the safety car the track and race is still technically live. And that's before all the other rules & protocols Michael Masi and his merry men decided to ignore or break. F1 is corrupt and the WWE of the motor racing world.
I agree that the ending was for the show but your point makes no sense. Why would it matter that max never lapped them? They’re unlapping themselves from hamilton because hes first, not from max…
