I am from the UK and cried when Max won. He deserved it so much. I utterly despise Hamilton and Mercedes and seeing Max and the whole Red Bull team put an end to the dominance we have endured for the last few years was just what the world needed.
There is no need to despise Hamilton. He is a good driver, it was an epic battle the whole 2021 season, but he just made a couple too many mistakes this time.
The team was dominant for many years, but now we have to watch out that this is not replaced by a RedBull dominance of similar duration.
It is not Hamilton as a person we do not like, it was their attitude particular in this season, the constant whining and manouvering.I used to have great respect for them, but they just went to far. writing this in december 2022 and max having his second championship already. I am glad to see Russell doing so well in the Mercedes, I just hope his team will evolve their social skills

The British media and British influencers make it seem sometimes that this doesn’t exist…this intense Iove for Max, and if you’re an English speaker like me (thanks to the Empire) then you’re stuck listening to Croft/Brundle, other British media and RUclips/social media Influencers. The most annoying influencers are the ones that PRETEND to be neutral but let it slip constantly and also ‘steer’ their commentary towards Lewis.
Everyone always said Max was the most popular driver, but the British have such a stranglehold on the F1 English language media it’s hard to see it..that’s why videos like this bring a tear to my eye…it’s awesome to see!!

I’ve sat through emotional movies, speeches, real life incidents that would elicit insane tears from me, yet failed to.
Nothing, and I mean nothing will ever bring more tears from my eyes than this video.
Nothing encapsulates how me, my friends, and every other F1 fan - from the oldest of age to the latest ones that tuned in during the last hours of the season, nothing will match the unrivalled emotions this season gave, and subsequently, the video posted here.
A season where all the odds were stacked against a rookie who had the hallmarks of a champion, a season where I and some others went in with the assumption it’ll be another Mercedes-dominated breeze… it turned out to be the most nail-biting contest for glory I’ve ever seen.
Say what you will about the controversy surrounding the final lap - Max did do things right to earn the championship. And say what you will about how many anguished fans resorted to social media following these events - they are massively outnumbered by the colossal armies of viewers, from the Netherlands to America to Asia to Africa - the world not only watched Max win - the majority rooted for him. The majority wanted a contender after 6 years of the sport being dominated by one team that waned the reputation of Formula 1.
On that day, the world watched a new champion rise - one that some knew would make it to this point from the day he won at Barcelona - and for some who only found out about him and his name on that fateful day of the championship race.
Thank you, Max. You have brought tears and laughter, joy and excitement to the hearts of every fan who is passionate about not just drivers winning - but racing. Fans both old and new will remember and rejoice for this day. We love you and look forward to what you do next.

Honestly, even here in London it's like everyone I knew wanted Max to win. Not an F1 fan, but it was simply an amazing moment.

i teared up when this was live and i teared up watching this video. im a daniel ricciardo fan through and through but the 2021 season was the biggest emotional rollercoaster in the history of the sport. the intensity and the controversy throughout the whole season and the way it took its toll on max and lewis is nothing short of remarkable. those two gave it their absolute all and put on an incredible show for the world and i will forever be grateful of being able to witness it
Lewis was no villain by any stretch of the imagination but this truly was a superhero ending for Max. Let’s go again next year Super Max!!!

Watvhing these videos everyday, 3 months of crying. Heartwarming how many fans Max has.
THIS is what racing is about. What sport is about. It's the excitement, the thrill of the chase. Now let's pause to think about how all of these videos would have looked if Mercedes got their way of finishing the race with everyone just slowly meandering in the last lap over the finish line behind a safety car. A real snoozer regardless of who you might have been rooting for. It would have been more exciting to turn the race off. But fans, regardless of preference, got a minute of unabashed screaming, jumping, nail-biting anticipation and excitement. What an F1 race is truly meant to be. Thankfully RB was smart enough to pit and change tires, which essentially won them the race. Amazing and thrilling.

Amazing video, it was a totally insane race. I cant see us having such a title battle any time soon. What made it the joy even higher was that the tables turned from sad to crazy happy emotions in less than 2.0 seconds. Emotion in motion. F1 has become an amazing spectacle. This was one of my most favorite Formula One seasons in a long time. The whole season was great, but that last race was as good as it gets. I was really glad to see Max win but I feel that Lewis also won in this. The one thing Lewis Hamilton‘s legacy needs is a worthy adversary, and he has one in Max.

I was sat watching this grand prix live, on my sofa, in the UK.
I had little hope for Verstappen winning until the final safety car.
Then the cars were allowed to unlap themselves. Then I was cheering for Max to make history in the one lap shootout.
I damn near lost my voice that day. The day Max became #1.
