Mark Taylor was my stage band director at Lake Dallas high school in the 1970s. TRUE STORY: I remember him coming out to my mother's car (a 1973 Chevy Vega) to talk to me for some reason. I was probably about 14 years old. The original version of this was playing on AM radio & he heard it for the first time & I remember how astonished he looked. He said something like "we gotta play this" or "we need this one." A short while later, he brought the "chart" in to the band hall & we played his brand-new arrangement of it. I'm guessing for the first time ever.
Love the idea of using a tuba to re-enforce the trombone section. My idea was to score the trombones by using three tenor trombones, two bass trombones and tuba.Good chart.
Bon travail collectif avec la grace d'un batteur au zénith de son art. Bravo !
Dude this drummer crushed it! (High) hat's off to you, sir
Watching this to learn the arrangement on the set, and damn I'm totally stealing those fills...
