Levin: Panatewaewae Stream Loop

A while back I came across a distinct track heading up Panatewaewae Stream (see Levin: North Manakau Recce). It seemed like a good idea to revisit the track and see where it ended up.
The track crossed and recrossed the stream and passed through a number of grassy clearings. It seemed to peter out at a clearing roughly three km upstream. There were indications that there may be a faint trail continuing onward, but the clearing looked like the end of the good going.
The day was wet, and the stream was rising, although far from alarmingly, so I thought I'd look for a different return route. A steep, overgrown forestry road offered an option, and it linked up with the old forestry road that leads to Panatewaewae peak.

Today I was just siitting around at home thinking "someone needs to upload a vlog about the Panatewaewae Stream to RUclips" and then Nekk Minute!...I enjoyed that!.😀
